"The resort was very nice but we reserved two rooms overlooking the lagoon and ended up being in a different building separated from our friends. Our room was overlooking a small creek and their room had the wonderful view at night that we paid the same price for. It was a little pricey but the food was good."

"We thoroughly enjoyed Cheeca Lodge. The facilities were lovely, staff was incredibly friendly and the setting a stunner. There were plenty of places and ways to relax, enjoy the sun, water and surroundings. The resort has ample amenities to keep you busy. The rooms were very nice and the food was good. I would say the food prices were a bit high for the quality - but not out of the ordinary for a resort of this type. They have some water sporting equipment (windsurfers, paddleboards etc.) for rent which we also found a bit expensive for the quality. They were fine for just getting out on the water for an hour but if you are interested in spending real time doing water sports I would recommend you rent good equipment from a local outfitter. Overall it was a great trip and a place I would consider returning to."

"My husband and I recently returned from cheeca on our honeymoon. The trip was increadible. The resort is beyond beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The view was to die for. Kayaking right in front of the resort and walking out on the pier to fish and sail boating were activities we enjoyed daily. Rooms were very clean and we even got upgraded upon check in. The food was pricey but it is a resort so it's to be expected our over all trip was amazing and we will definitely return to the cheeca lodge again!!"

"I just returned from a fantastic four day stay at the Cheeca Lodge and would recommend this destination to anyone! The entire resort is beyond beautiful! There are two pools (one designated for adults only), great tennis courts and a pretty nice par 3 golf course. The restaurants and bar are beautiful and the food is consistently delicious. Our room was beautifully appointed and the beds were beyond comfortable. Most impressive was the friendliness of the staff. Two things to know about the Cheeca Lodge: 1. Pool chairs are scarce! You need to arrive at either of the pools early and stay at the pool if you want to keep your chair. To their credit, the staff i pretty good about clearing off towels that have been left so that others can use the chairs. You can reserve a cabana and chairs for the day if you want to pay the fee. 2. The Cheeca Lodge is not inexpensive in the least. Cocktails will run you $12.00 a piece and the average lunch fare runs close to $20.00. That being said, the rooms do have mini fridges in them and there is a grocery store (The Trading Post ) directly across the street where snacks, sandwiches and beverages can be bought. We will definitely return."

"Wife and I stayed at Cheeca off your web site. It is a nice property. That said, it is certainly not the Ritz. The property is interesting but not natural. Concrete beach, bikes to nowhere, Fishing equipment in disrepair. The main lodge is the place to be and the further south you go; well you know."

"Took my family on Vacay and brought my boat (one of the reasons I chose this place as they advertised a dock / boat slip) After a 365 mile tow, I was told by the check in staff to launch my boat at 'Bud and Mary's Marina'. They don't actually hava a ramp and didn't know why I would be sent there. After finding a ramp on the Gulf side an making my way around to the Ocean side,

I found the Dock at Cheeka Lodge and made my way to the other boats that were docked there, I learned that 'Guests' parked on the other side of the dock and the side I was on was restricted to employees of Cheeka.

Needless to say, this start to my vacation was disapointing and troubled my daughter and I for a few days. This likely could have been avoided if I had been given the proper information at any time prior to our check in. Regardless, I did not appreciate being barked at by the employee/ Cheeka boat operator.
I did not report this to the front desk as I feared my boat could have been vandalized.

We rode the bicycles that are available on the property. Bikes could use some maintenance.

It ws not all bad as the Keys and water were beautiful and many of the staff were friendly and helpful. i will try a different place next time. "
