This hotel is beautiful, you couldn't ask for a nicer staff. The beach here is incredible. Our room is beach front and is fantastic. Had drinks and food at the outside bar overlooking the ocean, Jessy the bartender was great. They have live music outside on the deck.

Stayed here just for one night and for the rate we received, the hotel was great as we we upgraded to an oceanfront room. Very friendly and professional front desk staff. The hotel is definitely showing its age, and although the room was fine, beds very comfortable and had a mini fridge and microwave in the room, it could use some renovations but was fine for our one night stay. The hotel is centrally located in Melbourne Beach and there were a few restaurants and shops nearby. It is about... Read more

We always take our visitors to their patio dining area which looks over the beach and ocean. The food is very good and the ambiance is unbeatable. However, we have stopped recommending the hotel to our visiting friends and family. They complain that the rooms are not well maintained, housekeeping is spotty and the noise from the gazebo band on the weekends keeps them awake.

Overall my wife and I were happy with our stay. The staff whether at the front desk or restaurant were friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and had a nice ocean view. My only complaint is the outside ocean front deck appears somewhat weathered and is in need of some TLC>

I live in this town and I am very familiar with this lovely hotel. They host many events involving the schools my children attend and I have also stayed here myself. Recently my father was hospitalized with heart trouble and my brother and his wife and two children traveled over from Gainesville to be with him. He took a turn for the worse so they decided to stay in town one more night to make sure that he was ok. Unfortunately, my sister-in-law has been battling cancer and I could see they were... My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend getaway. The concierge was a very nice and helpful gentleman. We love to surf fish, so he pointed us in the right direction of the nearest bait shop, and even told us where he goes to fish when he's off work. The employees at the front desk were also very friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the beds were awesome! I stayed at Crowne Plaza for the second time, over Memorial Day weekend. This is one of several hotels literally on the beach, along route A1A in Cocoa Beach. It's fairly affordable and decently clean and friendly. I love the convenience of being able to go out the backdoor and walk from their porch directly onto the sandy beach. Quick note of warning - the ocean at this area had a huge pile of pretty sharp rocks about 10-15 feet from shore. Tread carefully, especially with the big waves co... Read more

We were in town for a wedding and the reception hall was great! Set up was nice the bartenders and staff were awesome as well. The entrance to the hotel looks nicely renovated. Though the bathrooms and by the elevators do get a little slick when wet from people coming back from beach or the pool. We were staying in the second building not the main. The hot water heater went out but they were as quick as possible to fix it but made accommodations everyone to take a hot shower. This is a great property to get away and relax on the beach or at the pool. All of the staff I encountered throughout the stay was very friendly. The concierge, who's name is John, gave a great recommendation for a restaurant, called ahead, made reservations and even got us the VIP treatment with a free desert! The hotel is right on the beach with chair and umbrella rentals if you decide not to bring your own. Will definitely go again!

The worst cocktail I have ever had. After waiting for a long time for someone to show up at the bar, I ordered a piña colada . I was so dissatisfied I had never tasted something very bad. The bathrooms by the pool smell like mold, or something very old. My friend made the reservation, I really didn't know about the amenities, there Is not central ac and the unit in the bedroom is very loud. A lot of rocks under water at the beach.

Friendly and helpful when we asked to change rooms but there is no getting away from the horribly musty smell that is mixed with the very strong smell of chlorine. We stayed at this hotel for my husband's family reunion. The Hotel is an older hotel that has gone through some upgrades. The carpet throughout however has not. The coastal view rooms are $30 more. Ours was not very nice. The balcony overlooked the flat roof & the air conditioning units that blew hot air up onto the balcony. You could see a little bit of the ocean. No ocean breeze at all. It has done all that it could to optimize the interior and service it gives to its regular customers and new customers...however, one of our family members is in a wheelchair, and would have loved to swim with his two grandkids, as well as be out on the beach. Hidden charges, smelly rooms, dirty pool and nasty hot tub. Checked in and was asked for my cc. They charged the full stay, plus parking fees and incidentals which they never advised me of. If I stay in your hotel, what do I do with my car? You charge me to park here? Why don't you just put that in the room rate? We were staying for 3 days but are checking out after one. We arrived at the hotel and we not pleased with the room. Erin T helped us move to a more pleasing room. A couple days later while we were out, our new room had water flooding from the A/C unit. Upon our return, the manager, Stephanie, was very accommodating. She moved us to a event better room. Definitely customer service at its best. Cannot thank Stephanie and Erin enough for all their help. They helped make our vacation even better.

My husband frequently stays here when he is in town on business with Intercil. I joined him on his most recent visit because he had a BIG milestone birthday during the middle of that week and I didn't want him to be all alone. His company always books a nice but standard room however, unbeknownst to my husband, I had called ahead to upgrade to an oceanfront room as a birthday treat. Upon our evening arrival, Jim and Ryan were attending the check-in desk. To his great surprise, my husband was ... Read more

This Hotel is hands down the best when it comes to customer service! We spent our 23rd wedding anniversary weekend at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and although it is an older hotel, it was an extremely enjoyable stay for us. We had an ocean view room with private balcony. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I utilized the pool twice and found it clean and uncrowded. The beach is a two minute (or less) stroll from the pool and is also clean. The staff is friendly and eager to assist. Andy, the ... Read more

I've stayed at the Radisson Suite Hotel Oceanfront which is a half mile up the road and I've visited the Hilton next store to that so feel like I have a decent perspective on whats available in the area. The rooms at the Radisson are all suites and they all face the ocean which, lets face it, is why you're staying at the beach so the Radisson wins on that front since most of the Plaza rooms are partial ocean view if you go outside on your porch. The hotel lobby and common areas at the Crown Plaz... Read more

Hurricanes are not predictable but let me start....booked via Priceline before the storm even was named. After the storm the phone number was not working. The Holiday Inn company did not even forward the number. I called Priceline, Hotel, and Holiday Inn to verify if they were open or what. No one can help. Sent email in frustration. 2 days later I get a response from the hotel saying all is well and look forward to seeing me. Not we are down and flooded from head to toe. Second email the next d... Stayed october 15 to 16. Called a week before to make sure all is well after Hurricane matthew went by, they said everything is fine. My room was in the 5th floor adjacent to two huge generators running die to damage from matthew. Was hard to fall asleep with all the noise. Smelled something funky from the AC, checked the filter, disgusting, super dirty. Then electrical receptacles for the TV, microwave, and refrigerator was no power. Maintenance could not figured out what was wrong, so they... Read more

Went there for a wedding. Nice hotel and nice rooms. The beach is right there and it's beautiful. The staff, however, is far from nice. They gave me attitude when I asked them to replenish the complimentary coffee that's in the room the next day. They charged me for parking while I didn't even have a car. When I called to explain that, the front desk person, Joe, didn't even apologize. He just said ok I'll take it off. It's like the staff is doing their job but don't care about the customers' ex... Came in for a night for a company meeting, decided to stay a couple of extra nights and not only the front desk supervisor (Jim Horgan) was very accommodating, he gave me some great tips on places to go around town with my wife. I will definitely come back. Thank you Jim for the great service. Did I mention that the room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable? Almost forgot, the buffet is ok for breakfast but in Sunday's is great with an omelette and carving station. Great value

Spend some money on this hotel and it could be amazing. Despite a dehumidifier constantly running, our room smelt moldy. I suggest avoiding the ground level poolside rooms. The carpet has seen better days but the beds were comfortable and clean. We were considering leaving but the beach is what made us stay. We sat on the beach for most of the day and tried keeping out of our room for as long as possible. Would I return to this hotel? Nope but I've heard it's the best. Perhaps an upstairs room w... Stayed here Nov 28 thru 31, I loved this hotel, location is great. The beach is beautiful. The rooms are clean, towels fresh and beds are made daily. Joe in the front desk is the best, he was knowledgeable on places to dine, night life and area attraction. He made it feel like home.

Check in and check out was a breeze. Erin and Joe at the front desk were super nice and accommodating. On weekdays they had free hot fresh cookies. My daughter and son loved them. They wanted them on the weekends unfortunately they didn't have them. Our rooms were very clean and had some toiletries. The outside ocean view was spectacular. The restaurant buffet was very reasonably priced as were the a la carte items. The food was very tasty and they gave you a lot. At night they had a live band ... Read more

We checked in shortly after Hurricane Matthew passed and the first room we had was not so great. After speaking with Sally at the front desk, she relocated us into a corner suite with a beautiful ocean view. We were entertaining family members and Sally made the visit so much more memorable. The entire staff was warm and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel!

Only stayed one night passing through from Miami to Orlando. Had nice free drinks in the bar in the evening and a stroll on the beach. Great location right on the beach, can imagine it's a nice summer holiday stay. Rooms a bit dodgy, not so fresh but cleaned and ok for one night. The front desk/lobby much nicer than the rooms. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was ok but not more.

My spouse and I had the best vacation staying at the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront hotel! This is the fifth time we've stayed here over the past two years. The friendly/helpful staff in addition to the nice rooms we've had bring us back to this hotel. When we checked in I asked for a complimentary room upgrade which is one of the benefits of my IHG Platinum Elite membership. Stephanie W hooked us up with a front ocean view suite! She was very kind to do that. The room was unbelievable, and l... Read more

The 2 day conference was moved from one of the larger conference rooms to a smaller room. The room was fire code rated for 53 people, and we had to squeeze 66 people and two guest speakers into the confined area. The next day we were given a stripped room without beds to hold a "breakout" session. Again, it was too crowded with 29 people in a room meant for four people to sleep. Forget the overcrowding, the fire code violation would be a field day for any decent lawyer... The larger conference ... Read more

I had some people to meet in the Melbourne area and the Crowne was the only hotel of this category that had airport shuttle service. The location was great. I had a room facing the ocean and was clean and quiet. Front desk staff was efficient and courteous. The check in process was easy and the room service was outstanding. The hotel location was great as it was close to many restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay here again for business or pleasure.

I had made a reservation for another hotel and was cancelled due to flooding from the hurricane. I had to find another hotel and make last minute reservations. After check in I was very happy the 1st place had cancelled..... we were right on the beach, the sound of the waves rocked me to sleep every night!!!! It does have a pool but I am not sure if it is heated because I went to the beach.

Crown Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront is a unique property in Brevard county. A large area on the south side of the hotel is a nature preserve and park. That keeps the beaches less populated close to the hotel. Wonderful for walks on the beach and eating and drinking on the large deck. Our large 1 bedroom suite was the perfect location on the 4th floor on the south side with a rap-around balcony. It has a nice kitchen as well. Jim and Joe were welcoming at check-in. The went out of their way to... Read more

There is no exhaust fan in bathroom. The pool in located between buildings so it gets no sunlight and it is like a wind tunnel. You will find no public trash cans anywhere on the premises inside or out so you will see trash outside bedroom doors or around the pool or deck area. There is a spot to wash your feet when coming off the beach and it does not work. Also spa has 4 jets but only 2 work. Lock on pool gate doesn't work. Lighting in bathroom is very poor.
