The hotel itself is A-Typical. Close to the ships ports. Nothing to brag about. Except for the breakfast buffet lady. She was lovely!! But, here is your *WARNING*.... They have a shuttle service that you must pay for. All of our family members, as well as myself had received our hotel e-mail confirmation, also stating that the shuttle was $8.00pp to the ship. The young lady who was booking the ride, was charging us $10pp. While most of our family members paid this, I certainly did not. I called... Read more

Is a five-star, right by the sea, the service is very good, and Sunset Bar in the hotel, is the best place to watch the sunset. Foot out of the hotel about 10 minutes away, you can go to the first beach, it can be said is the only public beach, and also very beautiful. The hotel reception services are in English, preferably in English will point to go, otherwise it will be very depressed, but do not worry too much, some waiter will Mandarin, the own luck. Great hotel and very friendly staff, helpful and professional. Love the lake and all the restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was very good and well presented. The elevator is a little slow, however taking the stairs are a great way to get in shape. This is my second time staying here and I would recommend it to all.

The room was nice and clean but dated. What really bothered me was the filth crusted on the windows. It was so bad you can't see out. The other big problem was the stained and scruffy carpeting in the common halls.

If the hotel room was an under $100 range, it would have been fine. The employees are very sweet and helpful. They really do have some great people working there. I did feel safe there, the room was clean, but there were some mechanical issues that need to be looked into, the hotel appears clean but doesn't "smell" clean. Clean, but worn is the best way to describe it. You can hear the toilet flushing from the room next door, a/c unit was very loud. Room was by the elevator so every time t... Read more

I want to thank the good attention and willingness of staff. They made us feel relaxed and comfortable in our stay, back to staying soon !! Very good experience in this hotel. No complaints about this hotel, only recommend the manager, which should improve the elevators, because they are a little slow

Looked lovely from the outside and lobby looked good. Once you finally get out of the elevator into the hallway it changed. The hallway and room carpets were disgustingly stained and dirty. This made the rest of the room seem dirty. The bed was very worn out and lumpy. Didn't trust the lock on the room door. Major gap between door and frame.

I overnighted in the city as I had a 7am flight the next morning. I was pleased with everything from the courtesy shuttle distance to airport, location of restaurants (Red Lobsters is a short 6 minutes away) and shopping mall. The room was clean and neat. More than your moneys worth :)

I stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Airport La Quinta Inn for 11 months while on assignment in the area and had no problems until one day the General (District) Manager told me that she would not be extending my stay if I kept allowing my cats to urinate on the floor. I was completely taken back by this. I told her that absolutely was not the case, please do not say that in front of staff and other guests and it was disgusting to insinuate that I would live that way. I try to stay at La Quinta because it's usually a good experience. This was not the best. There was a long hair in the tub-not ours-when I went to the front desk I was told the room had been deep-cleaned. In other words, I was wrong. No manager was available to talk to.

I stayed here on separate occasions in June 2016. The first trip, I had a double room and all was well. The staff came and picked us up from the airport. We later decided to head out to do a bit of shopping and the shuttle dropped us off at the shopping area. The hotel was perfect for what we needed... a place to shower and sleep! We were gone all day and would only come back at night. It is in a nice location and is about a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and other stores, which was great for dinner! For being a hotel that allowed pets, I thought the employees did a good job of keeping the hotel clean. I try to stay at La Quinta anytime I need a hotel, and am rarely disappointed. I also like that many I have stayed at are pet-friendly. This location was also pet friendly. The desk clerk was very courteous. The hotel grounds and lobby were quite nice, but the hallways to the rooms were disgusting.
