So this hotel sits in the middle of downtown, you have really good restaurants nearby and it seemed to us like a very good atmosphere at night. It's very close to UF (5 min drive, 15 min walk). The rooms are OK, nothing fancy, but overall clean and well equipped.

Calling late in the afternoon we were glad that the AAA rates were the same online as by phone. The staff was most helpful in making the reservations. Our room was a King with chairs, really good size mini fridge. We were only there for the night and enjoyed our stay. The only negative was the maid "waking us." Usually they gently knock on the door but this time it was a loud harsh knock. Since we had not "officially" checked out, we were surprised that the staff did not know the room was... Read more

Let me start by saying Hurricane Matthew is about 30 hours away, so plenty of people are traveling inward to avoid the storm.
