New, clean, and well-designed, this hotel is a very good choice for Gainesville visits. Melissa and Kristen at the front desk were pleasant and efficient. The parking lot is quite adequate. The room design is superb. Great work area provided and a comfortable chair. Mattresses were a little less than optimal, and better ones should be provided to match the high standards in all other areas.

This is my first stay at the recently constructed Home 2 Suites. The hotel is extremely clean, has large rooms, is well appointed, and is excellently staffed. The staff (Rachel and Kristen specifically) are extremely helpful, friendly, and courteous. As a Hilton Diamond member, I stay at many Hilton properties throughout the year, and needless to say, this is an excellent Hotel with a great staff. I am looking forward to staying here again.

Planned on staying here on our trip down to Universal. We were delayed and ended up getting in at 1 Am. Kendra let us in and got us checked in quickly despite the late hour. We got into our room quickly and crashed. As always the room was clean and neat. Thankfully we got to have a late check out and were on our way. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a fabulous hotel. We stayed for 2 nights with 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The suite was great! Plenty of room and very comfortable beds. Even the sofa-bed was comfortable. Very modern, eco-friendly decor. We also enjoyed the fitness room and saline pool. Melissa and Kristen were both very helpful during our stay. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to the University of Florida!

We stayed here in our way to the Gulf Coast. There were 6 of us and other hotels could only accommodate us in two rooms. Here, we all stayed in a single room with 2 Queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Breakfast is also very good and a world away from your normal hotel breakfast. No styrofoam plates and microwaved eggs here... :-)

We arrived late, and i had called earlier in the day to alert them to this. They told me it was no problem and that she heard there will be traffic. Kendra was at the front desk when we arrived at about midnight. She told us things to do in the area, and gave us pamphlets on places to dine. Including those that delivered. She informed us of breakfast and if anything was needed to call down. Our friend we were visiting had recently had a surgery at the hospital down the street, that disfigured h... Read more

Now I have learned Hilton can execute a good cost-efficient suite model. Even though it is called a suite, but the room's perceived size is about the same as any standard hotel room. But they managed to put inside the room a kitchenette. The room has a double bed and a sofa bed so it can either be a suite for one or a room for 2. The room size is kind of challenging to accommodate more than 2 adults. The room is clean, well appointed, and you have everything you need including a dish washer. The... Read more

We recently stayed at the Home2 Suites in Gainesville for our daughter's appt at Shands. The hotel is extremely nice, loved the convenience of having the elevators close to the doors by the parking lot. This made loading and unloading luggage and a dog very easy. Not that I have anything other than anecdotal stories about the temporary lodgings that originally occupied the Home2 Suites real estate.... Home2 or 'H2S' as it's known to friends, is neat, clean and functional. I can't describe anything as luxurious because the room carpet seems to be lacking padding and it's more long-wearing than comfy. Same with the bathrooms: only the accessible rooms have tubs. This new hotel is clean and awesome! Danny and Erica made our stay wonderful. They were engaging and promptly handled an issue we had with our room. It would be a good idea to train other management and front desk staff to be a bit more friendly. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again. I also found the bed and pillows to be very comfortable. I don't sleep very well in hotels, on vacation, etc. I slept much better here then most places I have stayed in the past. That was certainly a big plus. The breakfast was good with many choices and I liked the gym there as well. Rooms are very clean & comfortable.
