We stayed one night prior to a college tour of the University of Florida. It was very close to the college and we easily made it to the college with time to spare! It is on the 'main' street that leads to the college with a TON of restaurants and stores. Breakfast was great! Room was great with 2 queen beds (there were 2 adults and 2 teenagers) and we were very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean, breakfast area was well attended to. My only complaint was that the pillows were flat for me....I have special pillow.....and I didn't want to drag it on the airplane with me! But I survived! We will certainly stay here again. Close to Gainesville and restaurants.

The hotel was amazing, clean and convenient for the price. Close to everything- food and shopping. I would highly recommend the hotel. My next stay is already booked and I will use this hotel for my many trips that I will take while my son is enrolled at UF.

Very reasonably priced, clean, quiet, good service. Breakfast is included every morning and it was good. There is an indoor pool and exercise room. It's right off I-75 and there is a Cracker Barrel next door. Couldn't ask for better accommodation. I recommend this hotel to singles and families. There were a lot of children there during my holiday weekend stay, but the rooms are soundproof so no problem.

Staff was very friendly and took the time to recommend a great local pizza shop. Room was clean. Only complaint were the pillows. They were too soft & became flat when laid on. Breakfast was good as well.

This is my home away from home. There is no other place I'd rather spend my weekend. The staff makes you feel at home. Room is always clean and hotel is next to lots of good restaurants. Overall a 10 in my book.

This hotel is better than staying home! Friendly staff, good breakfast, nicely remodeled room all contribute to a great stay. Also ask the staff for restaurant recommendations. They have several good ones!

My particular visit was due to a medical procedure being held at Shands. Country Inns & Suites gave us a discounted rate for my mother being a medical patient. Also, even though I did not take advantage of the Continental Breakfast, it looked and smelled amazing, however, we chose to eat at Cracker Barrel which is an asset to your facility. I might mention too, that Cracker Barrel employees is who recommended your facility while we were in town for a previous doctors visit.

Great location just off 75! We needed a hotel on our way to Port Canaveral. It is about 2 1/2 hours away. This hotel was clean, breakfast was great and the staff was very kind! It was exactly what we needed! I had four teenagers in the room and it was plenty big!

This hotel was clean, convenient, & very economical. We have been been to many more expensive hotels & have not been so satisfied. The front desk staff was extremely courteous & even called to ask if we needed anything....again not a common occurrence in many other hotels we stayed at. To top it all off, the location is only a few miles from Univ of Florida, the WiFi was free, and the coffee in the lobby was awesome. Couldn't be more pleased.

GREAT place overall! We booked through a 3rd party site who messed up the dates so when we pulled in at 11pm after driving 6 hrs, there was no reservation for us. Kristan at the front desk was extremely friendly, helpful and SAVED the day! The room was very spacious, clean and the staff very friendly. On our road trip we stayed at 11 hotels and this was second only to Las Vegas:-) Better than all other chains by far.

We were three adults and 3 children enroute to a family vacation prior to getting to a wedding in Alabama. We were amazingly impressed with the size of our unit, and the dishes and all that were in it. It was totally like a complete timeshare apartment. The breakfast was to die for--almost anything you might think of for a hotel to provide. Best of all--a well trained and knowledgeable staff, each of whom made us feel special. The beds were of the highest quality and everything was super clean... Read more

Our room had no pictures and was absolutely not that special. I have no clue where these 5 star ratings are coming from. A TV was all there was of any beauty. Not a great bed. Reminded me of a new apartment.

We had over 200 family members in town for our Family Reunion and everything was wonderful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was great and the amenities were wonderful. My family had a wonderful time, sitting around the dining area, eating, laughing and talking to each other. We were able to play cards and charades. There was plenty of room for all family members.

Couple of reasons only why I didn't rate it perfect. Breakfast, needed fresher fruit. Second - the shower head in bathroom was awful, very slow coming out, hopefully just one of those things, where they should be checking them regularly and replacing as needed. Also, front desk person was not the friendliest, not necessarily rude, just not very friendly. But hotel clean, bed very comfortable and room very clean.

Perfect place to stay in Gainesville. Cracker Barrel is right behind it. Quiet rooms, good wifi and front desk service. King room, new carpets and interior for $107 which is great price. Very clean. Good ice machine and breakfast. Although I rarely get up when there in time for breakfast. Typical fruits, eggs, etc.

The on-site staff was courteous and made every effort to correct an error made from the 800 reservation center while booking my reservations. Even thought the hotel was full, the reservation staff accommodated my requests, As for the rooms, they were clean and spacious . I was also surprised to find a business center for computer use and printing, along with a spa and small, but clean pool.

We went to Gainesville to help move out our graduating daughter from UF. I saw the #2 rating, and was able to get a great rate for the stay, so we booked it. On internet, I saw what I thought was a spacious room, but was a bit disappointed when I arrived and saw it was not as large as I was anticipated. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. There was no lounge chair inside the room, just a desk and 2 chairs which were not comfortable to sit and watch TV. I have stayed elsewhere, where... Read more

We spent one short evening here. We were in the Jacuzzi suite. I wish we could have stayed multiple nights here. Loved this room. Very roomy, with a modern look. This hotel has been renovated recently and looked new. We stayed at 4 different Country Inn and Suites in 2 weeks. This was by far the nicest looking one. It has a much more modern look, distancing itself from Country. Breakfast was still the usual Country Inn and Suites Breakfast.

Everything was perfect. We are Elite members & appreciated all the professionalism. Only wish we could have gotten our upgrade but glad the hotel was filled. Shout out to breakfast employee LOGAN whose manners & efficiency when beyond his pay level. Wishing him success & if this is his profession an upgrade in responsibilities hopefully management knows a good one when they see one. A thank you to the gracious staff too.

The beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast was pretty good. The rooms need updating. Our room had sugar ants and our shower curtain had a large "hocker" on it. I was so grossed out by this that I couldn't take a shower the first night. The staff was very friendly. The pool wasn't heated like is stated on their website. Very overpriced for what you receive.

I travel for business and have stayed at this property every 4-6 weeks for the past 3 years and it has consistently delivered excellent accommodations for both business and leisure travel. Clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff and all the amenities. Super convenient to I-75, the VA and Shands hospitals, and tons of good restaurant choices. Excellent location - right off of I-75, but not in the middle of all the traffic. Staff were fantastic!! Lobby was very nice and modern. Room was clean, no smells, bed was firm. Pillows could have been better (fuller). Breakfast was available for a significant amount of time. Choice was the normal selection at hotels, nothing amazing. Coffee and cookies available throughout the day & evening. If you can get a good price, this hotel is a great choice. I would definitely return.

For the price (over-priced, that is) you can do much better. Furniture was caked in dust, refrigerator was covered in some unknown sticky substance, and the bathroom shower had absolutely no water pressure. The outdoor security lights shined in the room ALL NIGHT LONG. And there were NO blackout drapes. Miserable night. But, the breakfast was good. Funny. A hotel should be known for their room experience. Not their food. We will avoid Carlson Hotels in future.

It is not often that I will rate a hotel just by the front desk but Karina was so outstanding in her service, attitude and support I feel compelled to give the hotel 5*s. While hospitality is the job of front desk people, Karina raised it to an art form all the more extraordinary because it happened during a time of extraordinary stress (Hurricane Mathew). I hope the Carlson organization and Karina's supervisor in particular appreciate what an extraordinary person they have.

We appreciated the two queen bed option at this hotel. The beds were comfortable. The internet was able to support a very technology addicted family of four during out stay. The pool was great for the kids and the adults REALLY APPRECIATED the heat of the whirlpool to soak in at the end of the day. Staff were great and went out of their way to provide great customer service.
