"Our stay at the Pelican Beach Resort Terrace Condominiums was wonderful. The view of the property and beach from our 8th floor condo was spectacular! The unit was very clean, roomy and comfortable for our family of 4 adults and 1 4 year old child. The white sand beaches are clean and beautiful. We would recommend this resort to anyone considering going to Destin. It will be the first resort I search for availability in when I book another trip to the Destin area. Our only complaint was with regard to the very cold weather the week we were there March 23-29, 2013. But, the couple of days it was warm enough to lay on the beach we thoroughly enjoyed it."

"If you are interested in staying at this hotel and cooking while you are on vacation with the family then this is the place for you. My husband and I do not cook and we truly enjoy going out for a cocktail at night usually a hotel lounge and you will not find this here, We are not the type of people to go buy bottles of alcohol and take them to room and mix our own drinks. If you had young kids to put to bed and wanted to have some drinks at the condo then this is for you.
The Chans Market was a joke and the $25 gift card they offered does not put a dent in our stay at this resort. Is a matter of fact I gave it to a young family that I felt would use it since we would not be buying groceries or anything else there for that matter. I would not call this a market. It is like a run down convenience store. Do not book if you think there is a restaurant or deli or even a market at this resort. Tiki Bar by the pool closed at 4 pm and not a huge selection there either. This obviously was not the resort for us."

"October 2012: We stayed in a 2 bedroom on the 14th floor giving us a beautiful view. We were aware we would not be on the beach but it was because I read reviews not due to advertisement I do feel they tried to sell the idea you would be beach front.the short walk to the beach was no big deal. every thing was family friendly. The condo was clean and spacious and had every thing we needed having use of gas grills was great and having a washer and dryer in the room with 2 small children well that's self explanatory. We plan to be back."

"I was VERY pleased with my stay at the Pelican Beach Resort and The Terrace. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean and everything was furnished. We stayed in a two bedroom two bathroom, and it was very spacious. The lake view was beautiful. The only downfall is it isn't beachfront, but it is only a three minute walk to the ocean. I would DEFINITELY recommend this resort."

"Only problem ask specifically for a ocean front, room was not even on the beach. nHowever nice girls on desk, because I only ask for a 1 bedroom and was given a two, were able to upgrade for only $10.00 more a night. A older place but the owner of our unit have keep it up nice."

"We stayed in the Terrace which is a few minutes to the beach we too where not under the impression it was not located on the beach. Room had great views of the beautiful ocean water. Room was large and clean. We really enjoyed our stay in destin but probably will not return. Destin is not a place for a romantic vacation like we where looking for. Many many many young screaming kids/babies as well as teenagers. the beach was beautiful but extremely crowded. And we got reprimanded by the next door hotel for being 2 feet over the 'beach line'. Yes, that's right, you can only be on the designated resort part of the beach which is crowded. And the beach chairs for the beach are 28$ per chair per person! Which is insane. Destin like most ocean front places has a great selection of restaurants. Expect waits of 1-2 hours for a table. I think I will stick with the Naples/Fort Myers area."

"Very nice place . the condo we got was very clean and equiped with every little thing one could need.
the only downside was the limited beach space allocated to the Pelican quests.
Also I understood the beach chair/ umbrella was in the price. It was not!!!!!!! and if you did rent the chairs/umbrella ;others could still come in front of u with their own personal chairs and umbrellas. In other words , the rented beach equipment should have been set up very close to water so that no one could just come set up right in your view. Also ,the rented beach equipment was picked up at 5:30 each day [that was too early] Lots of other places pick up the cushions at certain times but leave u with wooden part of chairs . NOT SO!,"

"I had reservations for 67/2012 trough 6/10/2012 (three nights). When I called the front desk to see if a later check out time was available, they stated that their records had us booked through 6/11/2012 (four nights). I have not had the opportunity to review our credit card but, the reservation confirmation reflects the three nights as agreed. Our room was gulf view as promised but, not beach front. We would have given the cleanliness a higher rating but, the floors were dirty. No big complaints, we had a great stay and, will definetely consider the accomodations again."
