We had a great stay and really loved the Wave Bar and Grill located at the pool is an awesome place! We ate there every day for a quick lunch or snack. Tracy served us and was absolutely amazing! She was so nice, funny, and friendly. She made our last afternoon at the hotel really great!

I've never payed this much for a Hotel before but it was well worth the price and I'll be back there any time I'm in Ft. Lauderdale. The room was large and very comfortable beds, with a view of the ocean right across the street. All thepeople that work there seem to enjoy their work they were all very helpful. The food was great but also very expensive.

First time in Fort Lauderdale and this Westin definitely set the bar for great accommodations and amazing customer service!! Lovely to see all the smiling faces from the staff...utterly the best!!! Especially Tracy and Ramsey at the Waves Bar Grill and Junior from the front desk area...all I can say is amazing customer service and they definitely made our stay that much better. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed!

We stayed here the first week of May 2016 for an airshow that was happening over the beach right in front of the strip the hotel was located on; our overall stay was not bad. For the most part the staff were very pleasant. The women that took care of the pool patio and towels however, could have been a little less fierce with her job. Trying to get towels from her and returning them as well as using the poolside lounge chairs was like doing business with a military drill sergeant. Everything in ... Read more

The Hotel was fabulous. Our 25th anniversary and it was well worth it here. Front desk clerk, Suad, up graded our room to a beautiful ocean/pool view. The room was very updated in modern cabana style , loved the pass through shutter window from bathroom to main room and the sliding bathroom door. That special touch of the complimentary champagne and fruit was very thoughtful. The pool and beach was outstanding, never over crowed enough lounges to accommodate every one. This hotel was average. I expected more from a Westin beach resort. It looks old and needs to be updated (rooms and lobby). Service at the front desk was good. Valet was congested and disorganized. It made me nervous to leave my car there. The pool was filled to the brim with people and children, no way you could relax there. They have a skywalk over to the beach which is nice. The air conditioner was turned all the way down in my room, but I was still hot. I could not cool down. Limit... Read more

I booked a spa package room on the hotel's website, which gave me a credit to use at the spa. Although I generally enjoyed my stay, I kept on getting the run-around on my credit (everyone told me someone else will issue a refund at a later date...) and it was very annoying since I had come for total relaxation, not to have to run after my $200! Even after I finally got my refund, it was done incorrectly. So for about a week after I came back home, each day I would find different pending transact... Read more

Stayed here for two nights prior to a cruise. Booked it through Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. The room booked through the cruise line was a standard room, had to upgrade to a beach front room for an additional charge at check-in. Rooms were nice and clean. The hotel was nice enough, and the beach is amazing. The service, however, was subpar. Calling the concierge or service from our room never resulted in talking with anyone, and they charged us for valet parking, though we didn't have a car. The $30 resort fee is high for what you get - just another way for them to make money (hopefully they hire some more staff with it). Would I stay here again? Probably not. But we had a great time on the beach!

Part of this resort fee is the use of bicycles, towels for the pool. I didn´t use anything, just the internet. They offer taxis but the charge was $6 per person for going to the galleria. The hotel offered a lot of dining options although it was on the pricey side. The staff was very attentive and worked tirelessly to accommodate guest. The rooms were clean and a green option was offered to guest as well. Location was great with beach accent via walkover bridge and elevator. Very Comfortable place to lay ones head.

We rented around 12 rooms for a conference that was held at the hotel. All the rooms were clean, the pool was great, and restaurants inside the hotel were good. It is within walking distance to a lot of great bars and restaurants. It has a board walk to cross the street from the pool to the beach so that you don't have to be on the road. All the hotels are on the opposite side of the road from the beach but this was the only one I saw with this amenity. Storm took amazing care of us from the tim... Read more

Top tier hotel. The Westin standards are high. Stayed overnight before our cruise. Expensive, modern, very clean with a great bed. View of the ocean. Wonderful bathroom. Long, long walk to our room. Staff seemed competent & helpful. Will stay here again. January 23, 2016

I stayed at the Westin on June 13-16, 2016 and enjoyed nothing but a great time and excellent service. I spent a lot of time at the pool and was provided with friendly service by Judy and also at the pool bar, Waves, which I visited for food and beverages every afternoon. Violina the bartender was super friendly and attentive. I dined on my last night at American Vintage and was impressed by the food and my server, Steve at the bar. The hotel overall was clean and very convenient to the beac... Read more

Great stay by the beach. Clean, friendly and beautiful property. Make sure to watch the sunset from the veranda above the convention center. Staff sent chocolate Cake and breakfast vouchers for my husband's birthday. They noticed on his DL at check in that we would be staying there during his birthday. Impressed!

I wasted a lot of my time looking into booking here before I found that they have a $30 a NIGHT "resort fee" AND a $39 a night parking fee (valet only) so you will be tipping every time you go somewhere. The parking fee is optional. All you have to do is not have a car but the resort fee is not and it's a bunch of B.S. It is so obvious they are trying to hide the real price of the stay. That's sleazy. Just tell us what the price is and that price should include pool towels. I won't waste my tim... Read more

We stayed here for 5 nights before our cruise. Storm was really pleasant and helpful. A lovely welcome after a long journey and the bed was heavenly. Very clean functional room. Had an excellent meal one evening but there are better restaurants nearby. Pool area was busy but it is very close to beach. We would use again pre cruise

I research and SCOUR the internet before I book a hotel and I am glad I went with this one. Here is what I learned from my research BEFORE my trip... $30 resort fee- I KNEW about the $30 resort fee. TONS of hotels have them down there! We appreciated what the resort fee provided- Moring newspaper. The waters in the small black fridge in the lobby and the water concoction drinks in the lobby. Also there was fruit in the spa and the work out room. There were towels in the lobby for runne... Read more

I've visited this property twice for business and have enjoyed both visits. I was lucky enough to have ocean front rooms both times. The views are fabulous. The proximity to the beach is also great. In Fort Lauderdale, very few hotels have direct beach access. The Westin had an over-the-road pedestrian crossing, giving easy access to the beach. The facilities are very large and offer all of the amenities of beach resort. It is my understanding that they will be undertaking a major renovation of ... Read more

It's folks like Storm, the bellman, that can make a difference in your stay. He checked on us and our needs often. In spite of the hotel changing management and other obvious changes that were not an improvement, He is the reason for the 5 stars. Thank you Storm!

The concierge was nice and helpful and the bellhop not only brought our luggage but also gave us a very helpful tour of the hotel. Unfortunately without his guidance we wouldn't have been able to find things as the hotel is very large. It was so convenient to have a bridge over the road straight to the beach. The workout room has a gorgeous view of the beach and overall we had a wonderful experience!

I was very surprised by my experience because I have stayed at several Westin Properties and clearly this hotel needs an update. My room was very dirty, the carpet was stained and the room I had, had a very small window I couldn't even see out of. To make matters worse, my car was damaged and they refused to take responsibility and pay for the damages.

This Westin has a great staff, great location, and great food in the restaurant. Also an excellent wine list. The beach across the street is clean and lifeguards are right in front of the hotel. Showers located every 40-50 yards. The water is nice and blue too. Gym is very fully equipped. Pool's a little smaller than expected but the ocean is 40 ft. away and the water is 80 plus degrees and safe. Sliding doors in the room open to look over the ocean with a safe railing which makes it feel lik... Read more

There are good and bad things to report. I'll start with the bad. Be very careful about borrowing beach towels and make sure that they check them back in with the pool attendant. I was very good about it and STILL was charged $50. They removed it but I could have easily looked it over. The resort fee does not count towards SPG points. In room WiFi is provided in the resort fee but when you go to sign it tells you that you will be charged. When I mentioned it they told me that to accept the c... Read more

We got into Fort Lauderdale a bit late. Checked in about 930pm and the front desk clerk was friendly. The check in process was slow due to not having a two double bed room available which we specified on our reservation. We were "upgraded" to a king room with a view which was pretty nice. The pool was crowded, there was some kind of cheerleading competition going on so there were kids running around everywhere..that was somewhat annoying. We couldn't get in touch with the front desk to ask for ... Read more

Hotel is right across from beach in the heart of Ft Lauderdale/ Plenty to do; great views of the ocean; it did remind us of being on a cruise/ being so close to the ocean. We viewed the more expensive hotel just a little south, and this was just as good/ for much less money. Will stay again. Staff very accommodating. Don't forget to add 39$ per night for parking

Hotel just not up to par with Westin standards, although Neal tried to make it right which was greatly appreciated. When we checked in, zero platinum recognition. They just seemed understaffed in all areas. Valet was slow - if you could get lucky enough to find some one. Check in line was too long. We got in a little before 5 and room wasn't ready. No luggage carts. Wanted to store luggage and bellman had a bit of a poor attitude, but also seemed to be working concierge and car rental? Went to ... Read more

When I book a hotel I expect the price I am quoted to be the actual price and not have hidden charges added on when I leave. A $30 a day resort fee is just ridiculous and why don't Westin add this to the room rate as you have to pay it anyway. If you drive a car that will be another $40 a day meaning you can add another $70 to your room rate. Not worth the money and there are better hotels in the area.

We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and suspected that valet had taken our mini-van on a joyride! We could not prove it and returned back via a business trip and had to stay here. This time around we took pictures of our speedometer, not only did we watch our van being taken out of the garage several times when not asking valet for it, it was driven 89 miles. Each time we talked with valet they assured us our car was still there and stalled us in the valet que until it returned- mind you, valet ... Read more

A family of 4, we stayed there for 12 days. I will probably summarise what's written in other reviews. Let me star with the positives. The hotel location is amazing, with an easy access to a wonderful beach. Swimming pool is also very good. It was quite crowded, but you could still enjoy both chairs and the swimming pool itself. The room is in very good shape, yes you could hear the TV from a neighbour and the separation with the shower/toilet could be better, but still the standard is good. St... Read more

Doing Disney for 2 weeks but decided to have a night in Fort Lauderdale. Found this hotel on Groupon at a very good deal. Amazing beach side location, room over looking the beach with 2 double beds which was large enough for 2 adults and 2 children. Plenty of restaurants, bars in walking distance. Valet parking quite expensive at $38 dollars a night but this looked the going rate. Highly recommend the hotel.
