"I always stay here when I go to Ft. Lauderdale. If you're looking for luxury and high prices then this isn't for you. Granted it could use some new carpet. However,when I was leaving, they were replacing tv's and some mattress's so it's not like they don't do anything. My room was always clean and the staff there will do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. The manager is easy to work with and has hired a great crew.If there is something you don't like, all you have to do is tell them. It has the best location EVER! It's directly across from the beach. There is a restaurant, onsite, called the Deck with a great view of the ocean while you're enjoying a cocktail or food.All the fun bars and shops are within walking distance. The parking is free and there is free wifi. You get a towel and beach chair for the beach or there's a clean pool right at the motel in case you don't want the sand. The bottom line is: The resort isn't new or modern-if you want fancy-go down the street to an expensive hotel. If you want close to the beach, fun, down to earth, affordable,with people who will make your stay the best possible, go here."

"We checked in and checked out! Hotel was very dirty and smelled really bad. We were on the 3rd floor and the elevator was broken. Had to haul all our luggage up three flights of stairs with kids. The room was very dark when we entered, sliding glass door handle was broke and filthy dirty. The cieling was flaking off. The bathrooms have been newly remodled but not secure. The faucet handle was all loose there was paint chips in the bathtub and toilet was broken. This was all discovered in a 15 min visit in our room. We went for a walk and found a nice quant resort with a kitchen, closer to the shops and restaraunts. I would definitely recommend viewing your room before you check in because once you have checked in you will have to pay for the night."

"Photos on website are NOT what you get. Room are small and old; had a room with 2 beds--every minor movement casued the matress to squeak. Mold on the shower curtain; air duct vents had balls of dust inside. NOT worth the price at any level. Needs major renovations. Horrible!"

"We read reviews ahead of time, so we knew what to expect, somewhat. Start with the positives: GREAT location right on the beach, free beach chairs everyday, free towels and the convenience of onsite outdoor restaurant bar. The staff was very friendly and always eager to help or ask questions. The negatives: This hotel is very old. The carpets were very dirty and ours had three imprints of where a hot iron was dropped and burned the carpet. The patio door was so hard to get open it took both of us to open it. However, once it was opened we had a nice partial view of the ocean and nice breeze. While our room was a little dark, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows were great and the sheets and blankets were clean. The bathroom was very nice and clean with amenities and lots of towels. We were there 3 nights and didn't have to have maid service. There was a refridgerator in the room with a great working freezer. Kept drinks and ice cream bars cold no problem. The shower did drain slowly, but the pressure was good. My only real complaints were that the windows were filthy and the carpets were stained. If the hotel fixed those two things, I would stay there again no problem. The staff was nothing but friendly and helpful and if we would have been the type to complain, I am positive they would have done what they could of to make us happy."

"To be honest, this is the worst hotel 'RESORT' I have ever stayed. The carpets are disgusting, stains everywhere, the room smelled, our shower curtain had blood stains, although, they did change the following morning, the tv did not have any sports channels. Just not a very good appearance overall.

this beachfront hotel needs major renovations its old tired and from the 60,s

the only good thing about it it,s on the beach,and the staff

basic cable,no WiFi in rooms ,electricity and plugs ancient,carpets filthy,everything needs a major painting,the ac was from the 60,s etc

so please dont advertize this hotel as a 3*** or 2**its actualy 1 at best

because of location

"My emergency beach vacation and stay at the sea club resort was nice. Staff wasn't overly nice but wasn't rude. Room was the quality of a lower class hotel. It wasn't a Hilton. The only complaint that I had was that the tub didn't drain well and the shower head sucked, taking a shower was like standing out in the rain. Hotel is located directly across from the beach, hotel offers beach towels or chairs for its guests, definitely a plus. Check in/out was quick and easy. Hotel offered a shuttle to airport, which is much cheaper than a cab. Hotel has pool which is open after dark til 11pm and location to shops is a short walk. Great pizza place located down the street to the right, definitely recommend it and its open 24hrs. Hotel isn't high class but has perfect location and great price. Will stay again."

"DO NOT book this hotel.....Nasty Nasty Nasty!!!!!! Carpets are stained and smell disgusting. You have to cover your mouth and nose to walk through the hallway. Bathroom was filthy and disgusting also. Looks are decieving when you pull up we checked out and moved over to the TropiRock. If you want a very clean, pleasant, gorgeous place to stay with very polite and considerate staff only a block off the beach i highly recommend this place in many ways. Avoid the SEA CLUB all together!"

"I found this hotel to be one of the worst experiances throughout my travelling. When I checked in the hotel smelled moldy, my wife even thought maybe it was the ocean, we found out later it was the hotel. when we checked in we went to our room where the closet doors were off the hinges and would not work, I pulled the bedsheets back to find them dirty with body hairs on them and what appeared to be small bugs. The Air Conditioner was making a loud clanging noise and did not work properly. I asked the concierge if I could get another room, she said I would have to wait a few hours, during this time another guest from the hotel was arguing with the hotel staff about wanting to talk with the manager because of cockroaches in their room. I decided that things would not get better and decided to stay at another hotel. I do not recommend this hotel."

"We stayed at the sea club resort in the end of September 2011. the hotel staff was very nice, the location of the hotel is great, just a minute from the beach. the amenities were standard, nothing fancy. standards room with tv, shower and air conditioning. hotel has free parking, which is great if you are renting a car. overall we were very very satisfied!!"
