The hotel isn't anything special. The renovations seem sub-par, though the staff was very friendly. I ran out of hot water less than halfway through my shower. When we went downstairs later on, to let them know at the front desk and were told that we were supposed to call so they could flip a switch for more hot water. . . What? That was a bit strange. Not sure who would know to get out of a shower midway, to make that call. Should be an automated adjustment, obviously. One of the soda mac... Read more

Loved this Hotel ALOT, rooms are very roomy, clean the staff was amazing. Luis at front counter very helpful. Johan the bar tender during the day is awesome. The food was good, drinks were very good, they were NOT cheap with their alcohol. Will plan on staying again in the near future. You are close to everything., Love it Love it just plain love it. Pictures online are a little different from the actual layout of this resort. The main building is a half moon shape facing the road, close enough to the beach, but really facing a CVS (which closes at 10 on Sunday's! What???) Don't get me wrong: the rooms are VERY nice, especially in the villa A, where we stayed, recently remodeled, so I can't speak for the rest of the rooms on the main building. The villa was wonderful and just what we needed because each area had its own separate pool and a f... Read more

The picture makes this place look pretty good, however, it's far from it! It's moldy, dark, musty & smelly. I can't say it was dirty, but definitely old & moldy. Needs to be re-habbed seriously! Never took my shoes off in the room. Also, black mold all around the pool - never got in it because I felt it was not healthy.

We stayed here 1 night after a cruise. We were only in our room to sleep. There were 4 of us in a room. It was a pretty big room. The beds are comfortable. You do run out of hot water pretty quickly. There is a CVS and Starbucks across the street. It is pretty far up from everything. The road is under construction in the front. The pool isn't the biggest. There is a restaurant/bar at the hotel that gives you a discount for staying there. Everything was great until we saw a huge bug on our wall. ... Read more

Stayed here for a couple nights, wasn't bad but was not told about the $200 deposit. That would have been nice. They said it was released the day you checked out... It's been a week and a half and have yet to get refunded on my deposit. Called the hotel and they said it had been refunded, called my bank and said there is no record of it. Very disappointed.

This hotel was acceptable for what we paid. We got a good last minute deal, but I wouldn't stay here again. My biggest gripe with the hotel is how far it is from everything. It is also really dingy from the outside. The rooms are nice than you would expect based on the outside of the hotel. I liked that each section of the hotel had it's own pool, albeit a tiny one. Staff was fine, but also not exceptional. If you just need a clean, cheap place to stay, this hotel will do, but don't expect anyth... Read more

I spoke to Luis, a month before my visit and he was very helpful with answering all my questions. When I checked in Luis, was there and was again helpful and professional. I was upset that my room was not ocean view but he showed me other room options which was the reason why I did not leave and go to another hotel. The pool and rooms were cleaned everyday.... I stayed at the Royal Beach Palace for one night. The check in was easy. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and had lots of room. My room was in the second floor close to the tiki lounge area. The negative to that is I got to hear people talking. It made it a little difficult to just enjoy sitting on the balcony. You have to walk a little distance to get to the public beach area. Overall I really liked this hotel. I would definitely return.

Our overall experience was good. We only stayed one night as we were catching a flight the next morning. Happy I wasn't planning to be on the beach, because I couldn't see it from our room. Pros: spacious room, free parking and Wi-Fi, good food (tip is added on your check!) and friendly staff, and vlose to other cool places Cons: very very very very thin walls, you could hear EVERYTHING, nearby beach is private for condo residents, so you need to drive about 20 min to get to the beach The hotel is located right in front of the road where there is a construction, that started at 7:00 AM every day (bad timing to book, don't know when it ends).

Overall experience was good. The rooms were smaller than expected, but they kept it clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We were told that the beach was about a 10 min walk from the hotel. It was hot and we had a car, so we just drove to the beach and parked. If you don't have a car, the hotel is on the bus line. The hotel is across the street from Starbucks, CVS and a grocery store. There are also several restaurants and small shops near the hotel. Will stay here again.

You get the sense that this was where they filmed those 1960's Ft. Lauderdale beach movies. It's been updated, but... 1) They were doing construction on North Ocean Blvd. when we were there. Every morning around 6:00 am, the sounds of construction came blasting through the thin walls. Nonstop vibrations too. And all the rooms face the road, so you can't get away from it. I realize that the hotel has no control over that, but they should let you know beforehand. We didn't get in until 2:30... Read more
