"This was our second time back at Ocean Manor, and our last. The first experience was great. We had a beautiful view in our room, although we thought the the place was a little rundown. We still had a great time. HOWEVER, the second visit was when we discovered the dirty truth about Ocean Manor. When we arrived to our room we, like anyone else who books a king sized bed with an ocean view, we were expecting just that. Needless to say that we didn't get that. Instead we got a roach infested, half ed powered, dirty, old tv having, partial view room. Which also is a privately owned condo. We found that out when we tried to switch rooms and couldn't because they were filled to capacity. No that wasn't it, just most of the owners were in town. Ocean Manor is not a beach resort, it's a condo that moonlights as a beach resort. So what that means is the owners are responsible for their own room. So if like us you happened to get a newly renovated suite, Hurray you just won 'suite roulette' But the odds are not in your favor next time you return. By the way if you do happen to get to the beach. Be warned you CANNOT bring your on cooler, drinks, food, or umbrella. Just bring lots of cash, because they expect you to buy everything you want and need from their expensive Tiki hut. Not to mention the trouble of getting ice. Ladies be warned if you want ice send your man, if you don't have one go in a group. You have to take the SERVICE evlevator down to the basement. This is the only way to get there conviently from your room. Once there you arrive to a dark, dank, and nasty area with no signs telling you where the ice maker is. You've got to talk to one of their creepy staff members"

We received a room with rusted appliances, dirty walls, rotted wood frames, very run down and no maintenance ever done. We complained, and got a different room on the second floor facing the ocean. It was just as bad. Mold on the bathroom sink top, mold on the ceiling in bath tub, black mold on the sliding doors in bath tub, tile grout that had not been scrubbed for months, badly scraped wooden toilet seat. Broken closet door, You couldn't use the safe in the room.
The vents had dirt and dust growing all over them, lumpy king size matress that you fell in and couldn't turn yourself. No telephone in the room. There were numerous guests complaing of the same thing. One guest was changing room for the third time. He was so upset, he told them that if he didn't get a decent rooms with everything working, he was going to leave.
Looks good on the website in real life, it is not.
The night of Friday March 1st we did not sleep at all. There was very loud music playing. Our room was vibrating. I had to get up at 2:00 A. M. get dressed, and went to complain at the front desk. The night manager told me that he would tell them to turn it down. I went back up to the room, and the same thing went on.
The music went on till 3:00 A.M.
The website boasts "NEWLY RENNOVATED OCEAN FRONT RESORT.... But in reality, few rooms are renovated.
THE RESORT IS A TOTAL DUMP!

"A friend and I just got back from our trip to Ft Lauderdale. The city was great, this hotel was not. First of all, we are two guys and had obviously booked a room with two beds. When we got into our room there was only a king. I immediately called the front desk and was told by a rather grumpy clerk that while they realize we had booked a two bed room, the hotel was currently at capacity so we could not change rooms, but they would send us a cot. That's absolutely ridiculous, I had to pay their not cheap prices to sleep on a simple, uncomfortable cot.. Why on earth would they tell us we had a two bed room when they had booked them all out? For reasons we continued to find out over our two night stay. All they want is your money, they do not give a crap about their customers.
Later, we needed ice for our room. We looked all over our floor but couldn't find a machine. Again I phoned the desk and was told the only way to obtain ice is to go down to the outdoor tiki bar on the ground floor. Since we were on the sixth floor, this was in no way convenient. But, I decided I would take our small cooler down with us in hopes of getting enough ice to last at least the night. When I got down to the bar, I was told they would only fill the 2-cups-of-ice sized ice box we had been supplied in our room. I asked if it would possible to get even a little more ice, since we were very tired and didn't want to have to make several trips down 6 floors to get ice. Then, a very angry bar tender came over and told me 'We are trying to run a business here, we can't just be giving out all our ice' and asked us to leave so he could serve more patrons at the bar. Absolutely ridiculous.
The final straw was the following day when we went down to the beach. We had filled our cooler with some water bottles and a couple of drinks, but a hotel security guard stopped us before we could reach the hotel's beach access. He told us hotel policy did not allow coolers on the beach or any outside food or beverages. This was obviously because the beach access requires you to enter through their tiki bar/restaurant. So you must pay their outrageous prices if you want to even drink water or have a sandwich on their beach. At no point in booking the hotel or checking in was I informed of this rule in any way. Couple this with the security guards awful attitude and I was ready to check out.
Not to mention the fact that our room's bathroom fan, balcony door lock, and microwave were broken and our shower water turned boiling-hot at random intervals. This hotel is absolutely terrible and I would not recommend ANYONE stay there EVER."

"I was just in this hotel last week and it was atrocious. The room was dirty--some linens had hair on them, a light bulb was missing from the lamp (that was still plugged in), and everything had stains on it. Every room door needs to slam to properly close, which is very loud. Also, every night during my visit, I woke multiple times per night because of the spring-breakers running up and down the hallways screaming. The walls/doors are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING!
The location of this hotel is amazing. Right up on the ocean with direct beach access. However the pool is completely shaded by 2pm and the beach follow directly after at 3pm. Unless you are up early everyday, it is hard to get a full day in the sun. Also, there is a CVS, grocery store and several food venues within walking distance from the hotel."

"I had made reservations at this hotel for 8 of our friends. I was so embarrassed at the condition of the rooms. The rooms they gave us were not worth anything. They were dirty, run down, and in disrepair. We spent most of the next day being transferred to decent rooms. That was a day we had planned to use for socializing.
Besides we were each charged a resort fee which we were not told about ahead of time. I never did get an explanation for that. Actually the rooms they moved us to were very nice but we won't go there again."

"This place is advertised as 'newly renovated' when, in fact, it seems to be only in the very beginning phases of any renovation. It is old, worn, and rundown. The first room we were given for our oceanfront reservation was extremely small, had one chair, and no bathroom door. We requested a change and were given larger accommodations with a great view. However, the floors were dirty, the furniture was very worn, duct tape and nails held pieces of the doors together, a lot of the wood was rotting away, half of the light bulbs and outlets didn't work. The room door had two deadbolts, neither of which worked. We found a live cockroach on the floor in the morning. Parking is advertised as self parking or valet parking, but only valet parking was available--or a fee--and tips were expected each time our car went in or out. The hallways were very dirty, the carpet was torn up in places, and some walls were painted, some were very poorly painted, some were stained wood. Doors were old and varied throughout the hallways. Everything about our stay here was a huge disappointment. I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone else seeking oceanfront accommodations in Fort Lauderdale."

"I recently booked this hotel and it was disgusting!!!!!!!!!! The place is a total DUMP!! Within minutes of check in I was checking out....the rooms are dirty and moldy my 'oceanview' was the side of the building next door, and the room number was written in black marker on the top of the door frame. Don't waste your money sun tower hotel up the road (not even 5 minutes away) is much better and not to much more money! "

"I love this old resort on the ocean...very accommodating w/ everything but a workout gym, which is not necessary since the community is in walking distance. Food at 2 restaurants and coffee bar is excellent.
It is my third year in a row with pleasant experiences. Self parking should be free as part of the resort fee of $10.00 /day.
My only regret is the presence of roaches in some rooms. I think the trash closets should be emptied before dark and sprayed daily to control this issue. I will return with high hopes."

"This hotel was a total disaster..please do not waste your money staying there. We were given the wrong accommodations to begin with...had to ask to have what we booked and paid for. But it went from bad to worse! The room was unbelievable...no coffee pot, hair dryer, or any other type of things you expect from this type of hotel. Everything had a price...a fee to go on the beach, a fee to use the pool, etc. We had to request towels at night after we returned to the room....waited for over an hour for housekeeping to bring us two thin bath towels and two washcloths! The bathroom was so small that when you bent over to use the sink, you bumped into the shower enclosure. AND, to top it all off, the room was filthy! The vents had dirt and mold growing all over them. Have lived in Florida all my life and know that beach hotels are hard to keep up...but this beats everything I have ever seen"

"We got a suite with nice ocean view, 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom is queen bed, other bedroom is 2 queen beds), and a sofa bed in living room. Got there couldn't check in at 3. Had to go eat and come back. Slept for one night. The next morning about to go out do stuff and got stopped by a staff saying our suite is owned privately and we had to move all our stuff in the car and wait until the new room is ready to be checked in. Fought with manager to give us the same suite with same ocean view but he gave us a room with worse ocean view and no sofa bed. There were no other good rooms available so we took the room. Horrible experience. Took away couple hours of our vaca time"

"Pulled up no one helped us so we parked our own car walked into the lobby which is really nice but dont be fooled, its the only nice part. Proceeded with check in at the front desk where we were informed about the additonal $21.00 resort fee and the $100.00 hold for any damages which almost whiped out our vacation spending money. Proceeded with check in got our room keys and then asked about parking because we still werent sure what to do with our car, They sent us to the valet outside who told us it was $21.00 to park. Pulled the car around and had to get all of our bags ourselves, no one even offered to help, thevalet guy proceeded to jump in the car and turn up the music loud and text while driving my car. No luggage carts so we had to carry all of our bags. Elevators are very very scary old and smelly. When we got to the fourth floor, one of us got off of the elevator and the doors slammed shut fast and the other person was takin back down to the lobby, finally once both of us made it to the fourth floor, we were in utter shock of what we seen. It was a challenge finding our room because the room numbers werent visable and the ones that were were written above the doors in permanent black marker. All of the doors were different and our floor was under contruction and was a mess. Got to our room door which was opened and falling off the hinges. Had to pull up and slam the door to get it to shut. Floor in the room was coming apart and no door on the bathroom just a sliding door and was falling apart and offered absolutely no privacy what so ever. Good thing we brought our own towels bc all they provided us with were two tiny hand towels. There were roaches in the bathroom cabinet and the bath tub was dirty and gross. Our ac leaked and make and really loud noise the entire time. The bed sheets smelled really bad like they hadent been washed. The fridge had spilled coffee all in it from the last person who stayed in the room. The tv kept goin out and there was absolutely no wi fi anywhere. The pool was cloudy and dirty. The area marked off as private beach was about as big as three parking spots. And you had to rent your towels and umbrellas which had to be returned by 5pm meaning your beach visit was over. Pool closes at 8pm while still daylight. Since we already paid and drove four hours to get there we decided to tuff it out but we will never return to ocean manor. We read all the reviews and watched the episode of hotel impossible and we believe the renovations stopped there. The rooms are junk never once had a cleaning lady come to our room until an hour before our check out only to ask us what time we were leaving. They allow anyone into the hotel because of the tiki bar so its like a college party every nigh, not the place to go if youre looking for a quiet relaxing stay on the beach. I would listen to all of the reviews bc every negative one weve read have all been true."

"This has to be the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. out of the entire property there might be two rooms that are good and clean. I was lucky enough after seeing 6 rooms to run across one of those two and this is why I was abel to stay there as long as I did. They dont allow you to bring your own umbrellas, chairs or cooler to the beach or the pool. Everything has to be rented from them daily and your food and drinks purchased from their tiki bar at the pool. Oh the security at the stair out to the pool from the lobby has a little side business besides not letting people come down with chairs he sells water for $1.00 per bottle. This place is rediculous and I don't recommend it to anyone. Oh My nieces room was full and when I say full I mean FULL of roaches. YUK!"

THEY PUT US IN THIS HORRIFIC ROOM ON THE SECOND FLOOR WHERE THE SHOWER CURTAINS FELL ON YOU REPEATEDLY, THE TUB AND SINK DID NOT DRAIN, THERE WERE MARKINGS ALL OVER THE WALL, SERIOUSLY I CANNOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP, THE TV DID NOT WORK, THE HEADBOARD WERE PRATICALLY FALLING ON US, ONE OF THE QUEEN BEDS HAD A DENT IN IT AND THE SHEETS WERE WHITE AND DIRTY WTTFFFF!!!! WE HAD TO ASK FOR SHEETS MORE THAN 10X WHEN THEY NEVER CAME, WE HAD TO GO DOWNSTAIRS AND COMPLAIN, THEY HANDED US SOME MILDY CLEAN COMFORTERS!! UGH IT WAS JUST HORRIBLE, AND THAT WAS THE FIRST NIGHT, SECOND DAY I REFUSED TO STAY IN THAT ROOM, I CALLED IN FOR THE MANAGER TO COME TO OUR ROOM AND SEE WHAT WE WERE LIVING LIKE, HE NEVER CAME, SO WE WENT DOWNSTAIRS AFTER 2HOURS OF WAITING, THE STAFF BARELY MADE EYE CONTACT, HE JUST HANDED US A NEW ROOM KEY AND CHANGED OUR ROOM. THE ROOM WAS WAYYYYYY BETTER BUT THATS ONLY BC WE CAME FROM CRAP!!! OUR EXPERIENCE AFTER DAY ONE WAS GOOD UNTIL WE GOT HOME AND THEY HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE US $163.50 FOR THEIR MINI BAR. WE DID NOT USE THEIR MINI BAR, I DID NOT EVEN KNOW OF THE CHARGE UNTIL WE CHECKED OUR ACCOUNTS AND THEY JUST TOOK IT OUT. WE CALLED ASKING WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ONA ND WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND ABOUT SPEAKING TO A SO CALLED WENDY FROM THE HOTEL WHO NEVER CALLED US BACK. FINALLY WE JUST CALLED OUR BANK AND REPORTED A FRAUDULENT CHARGE ON OUR ACCOUNT. LITTLE DO THEY KNOW WE HAVE RECORDINGS, VIDEOS, AND PHOTOS. WE EVEN HAVE A RECEIPT FROM A WALGREENS DOWN THE STREET OF OUR 24PK BOTTLES OF WATER THAT WE BOUGHT. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, THE MANAGERS SUCK EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF STAYING THERE!!!!! REMEMBER YOU CANT POST THESE WITHOUT A BOOKING ID SO THIS IS ALL TRUTH!! AT YOUR OWN RISK!!"

"First let me say that I understand the hotel is going through major renovation.nThe location of the hotel was one of the best I've visited. The staff and guest services were all great. However, the room we were provided with was very bad. We asked to see other rooms but, they were all in some state of disrepair. We stayed the first night on of a 5 night booking. On the second day we talked to the manager again and indicated we wanted to leave to stay at another hotel. The manager provided us with much better room this time. The views were absolutely stunning and again, the staff and customer services was great. We ate at thr Tokyo Blue and Tiki Bar. Both were very nice, the food great and the services was awesome. I believe once all of the renovation is completed on the rooms this will be a hotel I will visit again. Until then, a Holiday Inn would be a major step up."

"This was not our first time to Fl Lauderdale, but the first time we stayed here. I am sooooo glad I gave it a try. The reviews make this place seem terrible. IT IS NOT. We take this trip yearly - 7 women - who want to relax and have fun. This place did it for us. Yes they are doing renovations - but so are all the hotels in this area. We were not inconvienced at any time. The lady at the front desk was awesome. Anyone we talked to said the same thing. She will go out of her way to make your stay pleasant.Any of the staff that we came in contact with was pleasant to happy to help us with any questions or problems we had (needed extra pillows). The Tiki Bar is awesome. The burgers were great. Service was great and all around very pleasant and fun. All in all if you have a problem let someone know - they will do what they can to correct it. Don't just write a bad review - if they don't know about the problem how can you expect them to help you resolve it."

"The location of the hotel was perfect , from the outside every thing looked very nice , once you got to the inside it was a whole different story , the hotel was very bad, the rooms were less than ok and the bathrooms were really dirty, the towels were beige instead of white lol , that how dirty they were . the rooms didnt even have numbers somebody thought it was ok to draw numbers on them . The staff was friendly though and helpful ."

"I was very dessapointed and embarrased. I stayed with my relatives, paid for a 1 bedroom suite and my room was duty, falling appart and looked like a storage room. Broken chairs on the balcony, the kitchen was falling apart and we had a garden light pole in the living room and many lamps with no shades around the room. We had acomodations for 6 guest and only two beds. I ended up on a regular room full of roll away beds. I will never recomend this hotel to anyone. NO room service, no internet and a big embarasement."

"I had to make a last minute trip to Fort Lauderdale, FL and for the price this resort was well worth it judging by the pictures. It was an ideal location right on the beach and the cost was right. When I got there it turns out it is individually owned studios and condos that are rented by the night. I got a room with 2 queen beds and went up to the room. The halls were dingy and had a weird smell. When I came to the door it had a flimsy lock that would just not work. I went down to the desk again and was given another set of keys. Still did not work. Back down I go. They now give me a two bedroom suite as it was the only thing available, JACKPOT (I thought). We go up to the 9th floor. The smell there was even worse? Look for the room and guess what? The lock didn't work! I took a moment, counted to ten, breathed in and out, in and out, and tried again. This time it finally worked. Okay, we step in to be greeted by missmatched furniture, a GIANT tv (the kind that has furniture attached and is about two feet wide) but not so bad. One bedroom had king size bed, the other two queen beds (my daughter and her best friend were delighted to have their own beds) At first glance everything looked good, but at closer inspection, YIKES! The air vents had black mold around them, air conditioner rattled like crazy, in the master bath, I was afraid to sit on the toilet and when I closed the door, it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. There was a dried substance on the back of the door and running down the wall next to the sink....hair dye, blood? I was afraid to know the answer. Well, would I recommend it? NOPE. Would I go back, NOPE. But it was right on the beach with a large poo. So if a little black mold, and red gunk on the doors and walls, rattling air do not bother you, the this is certainly your place for the price. Good luck"

"This hotel was in a great location and had a private beach area. The pictures of the hotel rooms shown above do not tell the true story of the rooms. The hotel rooms were in desperate need of renovation. The hallway leading to our room stunk of cigarette smoke. The room had a musty smell and the furniture was very outdated. The laminate floor had tiles lifting and the bathroom tub was repaired and covered with white paint in the repair area.This hotel also houses condos which are privately owned. There is a night club on the main floor that has live entertainment until 2:00 am. The music is so loud that it comes up through the floors and prevents a good night's sleep. The hotel only had valet parking which had a daily fee. The staff was friendly and courteous."

"Look this place is not a Resort.. I have a very important piece of advice for anyone planning to stay here. When you book a Room be Positivitly Sure that you are going to be put into a Newly Remodled Room that has been just that ( REMODELED ) within the last 9 month's, If you do not you will end up in Room that Looks like that out of a MOTEL....(Listen to me Please) Most rooms in the Hotel are owned by share owners, or bought as part of a condominium, If you end up in a Room that an Owner has not upgraded in the past 3 to 4 years you are going to end up in a real DUMPSTER. This is what happen to me & my friends, I booked 3 Rooms in advance at this Hotel 6 months ago & I directly asked to have all the rooms together, ( 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE) the closest we got was 7 floors apart, and one Specific room my friends had & they could not change till the last night, had a Water Damaged Wood Floor, Furniture you could not tell what color it was, Spackled ceilings & walls in the Bathroom, Burn holes in the Curtains, Windows that would not go up, ( this was an oceanfront room) last but not least the Air Conditioner broke down the first night..You ask why we did not go somewhere else, it was the weekend of the Ft Lauderdale Air Show & Believe me when I tell you this Every hotel was booked. People Just be very Careful when you Book here, make sure you see what you are getting & Get it in Writing. PLEASE CHANGE THE RUGS IN THE HALLWAYS THEY TOSS DIRT IN THE AIR WHEN YOU WALK ON THEM....Stayed here April 27 thru April 30th 2012.. This comment could be worse but I feel I am being more than fair. Everything I write here is 100% True......."

"Our stay was not pleasant...our room was over Toyko Blue and the band played till 3:00 am. At 2:30 am I called the front desk as we did not sleep at all due to the noise of the band and the noise from the people in the halls and leaving the hotel. They are remodeling the rooms and have been for awhile our room was not good the air conditioner noise shutting off and on also kept us awake and it leaked water on the floor and well as the door to the room was falling off the hinges had to lift to close. We have stayed their numerous times before and enjoyed our stay as we love the pool area and Tiki Bar. Very disappointed. Spoke with the manager in the AM they are going to give us a free night and they apologized but I will be sure it is nowhere in the area of Toyko Blue. This room should not have been rented out until it was refurbished and if noise doesn't bother you then go for it. Very disappointed patron."

"Hello, I first want to state that the front desk staff very rude, had a bad attitude at the very begining. We did not get into our room till after 3 pm, and was told that we could check in early and had been waiting for a room since we arrived at 11:00 am. Once there was a room available, they gave us THE WORSE ROOM POSSIBLE (I HAVE PICTURES AS PROOF) they wanted us to stay in a room that had mold EVERY WHERE, one of the beds were broke, nails sticking out, broken lamps, broke door that barley shuts all the way. When we complained to the Manager, he stated that 'because we booked our rooms via a third party, that there were sections specifically for those who booked through a third party versus those who book through the hotel directly' verbatum. With that said, that led me and my wife to believe that all the messed up rooms were for those who do not book directly with the hotel itself. After we told the manager 'WOULD YOU WANT TO STAY IN THIS ROOM' he replied back 'NO' and so we asked 'why would you want your guest to stay in this room', so then they gave us another room, which was just as bad. Curtains, were ripped off the drappery, so there was no privacy, beds did not have any sheets, no pillows, did not look clean at all. So we then complained AGAIN to the same manager (he was a heavy set guy who office was in the back of the receptionist desk). So then they finally gave us a room that was deemed to be some what pleasant but it didnt help that some random guy just happen to walk into our room thinking that the room was vacant, and so we wondered how was it that he had a key to our room? WE HAD A TERRIBLE TIME THERE, AND I'M GOING TO SEEK MY MONEY BACK. the only good thing i can say is the 2nd shift staff that came in, the blonde hair lady (i forgot her name), she apologized for the lack of RESPECT from her co workers and gave us a complimentary drink and appetizer. but overall, we had a bad time there and will NEVER GO BACK!"

"Loved every minute of this hotel. The room was ocean front and clean. The staff was extremely friendly, I mean everyone from the front desk. The pool and Tiki bar area were beautiful, as well as there staff. Had only a few problems getting towels in the room, and ice machine was in the basement, not too bad for a 6 night stay. I was after some reviews, so i called and talked to vivian who took notes of my concerns, and came through. If you are already booked and worried, call until you get her she will help."

"You cant beat the price for oceanfront, but i am now covered in bedbug bites that i was completely unaware of until 48 hrs after i left the hotel. They are now blistering and very noticeable. I saw someone elses pictures of this on yelp and naively assumed the problem was in the past. Rooms are not updated or safe. Ours leaked from the sliding door, which had no way to lock. Holes were in the wall where the headboard used to be. Carpeting throughout the halls is filthy and torn. Ice machines are in the basement! Take a walk around down there, it reaks of a fish market for some reason and there was no ice to be found . Apparently the people who had the room before us found ice, because the ice bucket in the room had remnants of a plastic bag still filled with melted ice! The cleaning service also failed to notice there was a bar of soap unwrapped and used in the tub, but then the tub was dirty too. Did i mention, this was the second room we got, after complaining about the first one! Staff was nice and tokyo blue served us a great meal. Those aspects were nice. However, someone needs to get this place in shape, and clean. Funny thing is, we turned down the sheets and actually looked for bedbugs before we went to sleep. I am horrified looking at the results of this exoerience on my body as i write this."

"This was the worst place we have ever stayed. The place was filthy. The bottms of our feet were black from walking around our room. For the first 2 days we were there our keys did not work. Even the hotel maintenance could not get us in. At one point we were locked out for over 2 hours, with frozen food and groceries with us. We asked several times to be moved to another room, but were ignored. We paid extra for a kitchenette, however there was nothing there, not one utensil or plate - nothing. Half of the light bulbs were out and we could barely see. Our shower door was broken. On two seperate occations - after housekeeping left - we had to call for towels and/or wash cloths. After calling 3 different times I had to go down to the lobby and get them myself at 9:30 pm, so we could shower. Please take this review seriously and do not stay here."

"Do not be fooled by the beautiful photos you see above! We were two couples travelling together and booked two city view efficiency units. I wouldn't let a rat stay here. We checked in at 7 and out at 9. The rooms are disgustingly dirty, dirty towels, rusted out towel bars, grey/brown towels that at one time were probably white. The doors on both our units had been kicked in and without opening the door with a key, you could see inside the room from the space between the door and the frame. Absolutely NO security in that! The bathroom door had also been kicked in. The lampshades were broken, there was no remote for the television and bedspreads had burns and were stained beyond belief. Our rooms overlooked the front of the building which had a lobby overhang so our view of outside was broken liquor and beer bottles, cigarette butts and every other type of garbage you can think of. The list could go on forever but you get the picture. Two of the three elevators were not working and we got stuck in the one working between the 1st and 2nd floors and had to take the stairs which wreaked of urine. There is no doubt that the hotel knows the condition of the rooms because when we told the desk clerk that we couldn't stay there she promptly refunded our credit cards for the incidental charges and resort fee they charged upon check-in. We are still awaiting approval from the hotel manager for our original room charges back. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this hotel! THe room photos are somebody's dream fantasy not reality! Enjoy your holiday and stay at one of the smaller motels across the street (it's a short walk to a beach but they're clean and safe and less expensive!)"

"Even with all the college Spring Break students at the Resort, the staff treated us royally. We arrived on a Saturday, knowing that it was Spring Break. Our room was not ready, but the staff was very friendly and apologetic. We adjourned to the beach bar for a bite to eat and a drink. The waiters and bar staff were very attentive and took care of us while we waited. When we were given our room keys, we discovered they had not yet finished cleaning it. We went down and told the front desk, they immediately found us a different room. This is what I consider a typical Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel. It's far from new, some updating would not hurt, but they work very hard to please you. We had a great ocean view from our balcony, the room was spacious enough for two of us and we would definitely go back. If you are looking for a 5 star resort, look in a price range for a 5 star resort. If you are more interested in a budget friendly place with a great beach, you should be pleased with this Resort. "

"This is by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. I do not no where to start. When we first arrived at the hotel, we weren't able to get our room till about 5 O'Clock when check-in time is 3. When we got our keys we made an attempt to go to our rooms, but 2 out of the 3 elevators were broken. Finally after getting to our rooms, we had to jiggle the door for 5 minutes before being able to get the door open because the lock was broken. When we walked into our room or shall I say 'Suite' we were shocked by the condition it was in. The floors were filthy, one of the beds were broken, stove and refridgerator were broken; causing all of our food to go bad. The pull out sofa was nowhere to be found, lights were broken and the tub had brown stains in it. When we complained to the front desk they basically told us that if we didn't like the room, then go to another hotel, which is completely unexceptable. The front desk were extremely rude and when we asked for a manager, they told us there wasn't one around. When we told them we were calli g the Better Business Bureau, they decided to upgrade us to another suite, which wasn't that much better. We had 5 adults in the room and they only gave us 1 king bed and a sofa. The entire 4 days that we were there, we didn't have our rooms cleaned at all. We contacted the front desk every day, but they just ignored our requests. Finally on our last day we got in touch with the manager who basically did nothing for us becides giving us his business card. I definately DO NOT recommend this dump to anyone. Worst experience of my life"

"Lets start with the bad news first? So we booked two ocean front rooms with two beds in each room. Neither room they first offered to us were ocean front. And the second room they tried to give us that had 5 girls in it, only had one king bed. So, not only did i have to argue with the lady at the front desk, but they were so rude, and not understanding at all. They told us we should have booked directly throught the manager, and when I told them I called several times and could never get ahold of the manager they blamed it on me. Then when i asked to speak to the manager they said he was not in, when he was there because they kept running to the back to speak to them. Finally, the only thing they did was upgrade one room to a suite, and then for the other room they said there was absoulutely nothing they could do, we'd have to wait till the next day to see what rooms opened up. The 2nd day on the trip we finally got it worked out and they moved us to an ocean front room. The quality of the hotel however was poor. The rooms were nice and all, but there were cracks in the walls, the bathrooms were old, the place needs an update for sure. And the tiki bar is nice, but everything is very very overpriced. For the good news: the cleaning staff was so nice! And it was a afun place to stay for spring break, but def. more of an older atmosphere. If you are under 21, I dont recommend you staying at this hotel."

"My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. Our room was very nice, and the service was good. The location was great - close to food, bars and the bus stop was just across the street. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was very nice with many loungers to relax on. We enjoyed the Atlantic Ocean Beach and had a daily walk to the Pier. We also walked to Lauderdale-By-The Sea in the evenings - there was outside music on Friday and Saturday evenings. We rode the city buses to Galleria Mall, Sawgrass Mills Outlet stores, and downtown Fort Lauderdale. We enjoyed the water taxi hop on hop off, and viewing the many expensive homes and yachts. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation, and we would definitely return for our accommodations."

I arrived 3 hours earlier but the room was not ready until 3 sharp. I got an ugly, old room that needs renovation really really bad, not worth the $170/day. "Location was the only good part of my stay. The 4th floor was old. The room didn't even a box of kleenex. The towels were brownish and the quality was worse than a gym towel. It's like they have had the towels for 20 years. No storage in the bathroom at all. The floor between the bathroom and room had a 2 inch gap that was very gross. The walls were thin so you could here everything. I would not stay on the 4th floor again."

"We felt very fortunate to find an ocean-front property that would accommodate our family of 6 and still be affordable! Usually that is quite a tall order and requires an exhaustive search. We enjoyed a sprawling apartment with plenty of room for all of us, and an awesome sweeping view of the Atlantic. We had originally feared we would have to settle for a room at a roadside chain motel, and drive to the beach every day. I've read several reviews that mentioned how some of the rooms were not renovated. Ours was quite nice, with newer furniture and a very nice full kitchen. We did, however, notice that some of the craftsmanship (i.e., doors, molding, floors, etc. was a little shoddy). But our large suite sure provided a comfortable place to relax after a busy day of swimming in the pool, splashing in the surf, and exploring the surrounding area the surrounding area. Thanks for a great escape from our long Michigan Winter!"

"I would not recommend staying here to anyone. The hotel staff needs a course in public relations. Their ''oh well'' attitude is beyond belief. There were never enough towels in the room and sometimes NO towels. The best was there was no toilet paper at times. The resort fee is a rip off for sure. You pay per day and their reason is for internet service !! If you use the computer in the lobby you are charged and just to print out your airline tickets cost $15.00 !!!! What a rip off. There was a phone in the room but no service and when mentioned the first day was told someone would look at it. Never did. There was no info in the room as far as ordering food etc. NOT one piece of info. The shower water took forever to go down and the water pressure was horrible. Yes we were on the second floor image the people on the 12th floor???? The maid service didn't speech english and never changed the sheets. Dont book over the Tiki bar as it goes on til morning with loud music and voices !! The terraces are never cleaned. They have a note in the bathroom about the cost of towels !! They don't give you towels so why post such a note. Everything you do cost you money. You have to rent a beach chair and umbrella and by no means is it a deposit until you return them. YOU GET CHARGED $5 for a chair !! If you bring your own umbrella you are not allowed to put it up on their beach property. The food was good but on the expensive side. Most of the time it was paper cups and dishes. If you book this place make sure you have enough money for all the extras.And by the way dont eat or drink anything from the refrig in the room you get charged a hefty prince. It is a rip off and the staff dont want to hear it at all. Rude is a good word to describe them. Also the Go shuttle is horrible. We landed with a reservation for transportation and they have a maximum wait of 30 minutes. We waited over an hour. We were told we had to wait to fill the bus and then after an hour a car showed up !!! Everytime we asked when we could get transported we were told to ''just wait''. It was well over 2 hours til we got to the hotel as we had to drop off the others that they decided to pick up. We were cramped in the car. I would never go back there nor would I recommend the place."

"The hotel was run down - quite a dump. The hallways were in need of cleaning. The furniture in the room looked like they were in the process of re-finishing them - needed replacement. The shelving unit on the balcony should have been thrown into the dump some time ago - looked dilapidated. The floors in our room looked like they were never properly cleaned - corners full of dirt. No bath towels provided. The door from the hallway into the room was loose - did not feel secure. The hotel requested a $100.00 damage deposit at check-in. When we left - early in the morning, the two men at the hotel desk stated that the hotel would process things later in the day and forward a clearance to me. When I contacted the hotel a few days later to inquire about the deposit, I was informed that the hotel does not forward any clearance but advised me that the only charges would be the $20.00 (10.00 per night) 'Resort Fee' that is charged by the hotel. It was never made clear to me if the 'Resort Fee' was a type of municipal tax the hotel had to collect from customers and remit to the municipality or if it was just a charge tagged onto the costs of staying at the hotel. On a positive note, the Tiki Bar - service, beverages and food were good. The outdoor pool and direct access to the beach / ocean were also good."

"The service at this hotel was Horrible , they only came to clean my room once if four days. There was no toliet paper, tissues or clean towels put into the room in the four days I was there . There was no ice availabe. There was no telephone in the room. The place to eat had insufficient staffing and it took for ever for them to serve you and then bring you a check. Although the price for the room was moderate they hit you for extras on everything. To park the car, to get a beach towel, to get a lounge chair, or umbrella. So in the end the price was not accurately portrayed. The beach was overcrowded as well as the pool. I would not return to this hotel."

"Well....this hotel could have been much better. The location was ok, and the pool was nice. That's about all. The room was small and we had an actual key to the room (a metal one) with no spares, and it was hard to lock and unlock. Also the sheets weren't changed, they just re-made the beds with the same sheets (we knew bc I spilled a little bit of bronzer lotion one day, and it was still there on a perfectly made bed). We also couldn't get a later check out, there was no hair dryer and when we asked for one, they said they were all out. The bathroom was also really dirty. I would not stay here again."

"I'm very shocked someone would list this quality of a hotel. I should have looked at the comments listed on the site but I didn't until just before I left. What I read upset my wife and me. Attempted to phone the hotel mgr and see if I could cancel and get my money back. They said it was doubtful as it was too close to my arrival date, but they would try. I was afraid I would not find a hotel available a few days before we left so I decided to go ahead with the booking and that we would go ahead with the reservation. I telephoned the hotel direct and advised them of my fears and asked to be put in one of their newer rooms with a king size bed facing the ocean. They said they don't assign rooms until arrival. The clerk was courteous and said she would put down my request before I arrived. When we arrived what we received was beyond description. The hotel room was facing the ocean and had a queen size bed. The bed sheet had a huge stain and the couch facing the bed had a large round stain on the seat. The door to the room would not close properly and had to be slammed shut. The night lock would not work but we used the metal clamp to prevent entry. The bathroom tub was stained and part of the wall was coming down around the shower head. Paint was peeling all through the unit and all the furniture was very old and worn. The wood trim was coming away from the wall. I went downstairs and told the clerk My wife and I were very upset and I wouldn't put a dog in there! She said she was sorry and would move us in the morning as nothing was available at this time. In the morning we moved to a newer room, but still not one of their better ones. The door also had to be slammed to lock. To beat it all, we got a knock at the door one of the days. When I opened it two men were at the door. They said they were here to spray the room for bugs. I said WHAT! They said 'you got no bugs ok we go’. The rest was livable but not what I expected when we booked .We had to call downstairs for towels and sometimes didn't get them till 4pm.They said they didn't have enough ready and were still drying them. Every time we went out we tipped to get out car as there was no parking on the property. We had to pay for use of hotel chairs on the beach and additional money for an umbrella. No free paper or coffee in the lounge and you had to pay for coffee. Nothing but a big money grab. Must say the staff was very friendly. "

"This was the vacation to Hell! The first efficency room was falling apart and under repair which moved us to another smaller room especially when you had to fight for space with the cockroaches not to mention fight for a coffee pot. The rooms were dirty and you had to ask for towels every day. The pool was not heated and we were charged for chairs and parking if you used it or not . The talk on the beach was to not stop complaining until they finnally gave in. This place is disgusting - DONT STAY HERE."

"This hotel was very ugly, everything is old and disgusting; the location is so nice but the place is very old and dirty. They move us to 4 different room first one they said that wasn't our room, the second was really old and small plus the bugs was in it. the bathroom need cleanning wich they never did the first three days. everyone else were complaining too no one comes to the room to clean it. "I would not recommend this hotel/resort even to my worse enemy. There are hidden fees. They require you to put down a $100 deposit for your stay. This is the first hotel I have stayed at that does this. The also add a $10 charge (a resort fee) for every day they have you stay. Also they add taxes on top of taxes. they will charge you a 6% tax then add another 7% tax on top of that one then the next day add them both again on top of those taxes. There is also a $5 deposit for both beach towels and pool towels that in order to get your money back you have to return them the same day by 5pm. For hospitality I give them a 1 out of a score of 10. We got the 1 bedroom suite that is supposed to accommodate 6 people, which we did the booking for; they said the couch was a sleeper sofa and I called to make sure it was, and the concierge assured me that all the couches where pull out couches, but when we get to the room it was just a regular couch. I told the concierge this and he said we could rent a folding bed for $15 a night.
Other things wrong with the room. We asked for a non smoking suite, but the suite smelled of cigarette smoke and had an ashtray in the kitchen. The room also had no towels, and i mean no towels, no hand face or bath towels, and when i asked for some they brought up 4 bath towels and when I requested more since there are 6 people staying and 4 bath towels were not enough the cleaning lady said she would have to look for she didn't think they had anymore. What hotel or resort runs out of towels? Apparently this one does. There was also missing linens in the suite. There were 4 extra pillows that were stained beyond belief with no pillow cases. the blinds in the room and living room were broken, and there was one leaflet being held up by a shoe lace. The room faced the sun for the hottest part of the day so keeping the sun out was a priority and more so when the room air conditioning was loud and barely worked we could get it lower than 71. The living room air conditioning did not work whatsoever, the coolest we could get the room was 75 and that was leaving the door open to the bedroom to cool off the living room. There is also no privacy since the walls seem to be paper thin and you could hear your neighbors conversation like if he was in the room with you.
Also the bed provided was broken. It only took one of us the get in it for the bed to fall apart. when we lifted the mattresses to see what happened somebody put a small nail to hold the bed frame together instead of the brackets that it brings. The mattresses were also hard. The floors were dirty, and the electrical system was faulty, most of the sockets didn't work. The door handle to the room was bent and it is not an magnetic swipe card to get into the room, it is a regular key that is used, and it was hard to get the door open with it.
Now moving on to the bathroom, saying it is tinny is an understatement, but it was modern so but that was the only thing good about it, the shower is tinny. and it is covered by a glass door that covers have the shower, and the bathroom floor is tile but when water is added to them they become really slippery; so slippery that hanging on to the sink for dear life is necessarily to insure you stay in one piece, and if you want to avoid getting water on them you are out of luck because the shower will insure they get wet and even if you put a non existing towel on the floor it will get soaked while you shower. So you have to decide between getting dry or not killing yourself with the bathroom floor.
Also a full kitchen came with the suite but no supplies (no soap, no paper towels, no dish washing detergent, etc.) were provided and the silverware was almost non existent, and the ones that were there were dirty. Moving on, the Hotel in itself. It seems they have spent the majority of their money on the outside. there are 3 elevators., 1 of them was out of service, and could fit a max of 6 people. The pictures on the website do not reflect the hotel or the rooms. Also the WiFi did not work. Also the pool closed at 8pm. I would not stay here again even for free."

"Ok well I wen't to this hotel and when I pulled up I was shocked should I stay here or Should I find a motel 6 cause it would be better than I though just go with the flow. So I walked inside and i thought to myself well this is not to shabby. I wen't to my room and what a shock poop stains in the toilet that I had to clean and urine on the floor. The bed was so uncomfortable I slep on a blanket on the floor the only reason why I stayed was the ocean view one of the selling points of this. Roaches every reminded me of the movie joe's apartment. the staff was pleasingly well with what they had to work with. I think they need to step up there game and make it a more family orinted hotel with activities and other things it is south florida fort lauderdale paradise I will visit the hotel again as long as I never have this experiance again "

"Went early, they took my bags for a 3 Oclock check in. Was on the beach at 10:30am. Tiki bar, great staff lot's of fun. 1:00pm they called my cell and told me room was ready. Great room!! Great view!!. Everything was new!!!! Will go back for great price I paid. I was there from 5/2 - 5/7/2012 "

"We booked this place in the last minute and what a mistake! They almost ruined our vacation. Hotel is dirty, rooms are old, covers have cigarette holes, and hallways look like crack house. The beach towels for which we had to give the hotel lady $10 deposit were yellow with bleached out stains and holes (the cleaning rugs in my house look better than their beach towels). This is not the end... The valley company working for the hotel towed our rental car away even though we moved the car as we were asked to the self park parking lot. We had to pay $150 to get the car out and lost a day of vacation. When we tried to complain - there was nobody to listen to us! This is not a hotel but a condo association and they just rent out few rooms. They have no accountability to anyone. They could care less about costumer service. We were treated like garbage."

"The stay at Ocean Manor was an experience. Room 304 is just a disaster. The bathroom door was missing screws. The metal runner at entry door was loose and waiting for an accident to happen. The bathtub was patched and patched again and again. Also missing tiles. The bed was low on one side and the pillow top was no more. Ii ended up sleeping on the couch because I keep falling in a hole. They say they are in the process of renovation but some of these room shouldn't be rented out until more work is done. Room 328 was better but it's need help also. Have to say, maintenance was very prompt upon our call. The staff was very pleasant. The location was good but I would certainly search for another hotel."

"I was very pleased with my Ocean Manor Beach resort. I was also very glad that I had read some of the previous reviews. The most important information I got from the reviews is that the hotel is continually renovating its rooms. I asked to see the (very cheap) room I had booked, which had not been renovated, and then asked to see a newly remodeled one. With very little additional cost I took the newly renovated room with the breath-taking view of the ocean from the room and deck. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Tikki-hut meals and service were
fabulous!!! Ask to see your room before you accept it. If you don't like it,
ask to see another one, you may be very pleasantly surprised!!!"

"My sister and I booked this hotel for our 50th birthday get-away celebration vacation. We arrived around 10:00 p.m. this past Sunday night 1-29-2012 as our plane was an evening flight from Charleston, WV. We were given room 200 and were instantly dismayed after walking into the room! For starters, the room was not ocean front, as we had requested AND paid for. It was an ocean view through a window only which was directly over top a rooftop for, I believe, the restaurant section of the hotel. The room was disgustingly filthy (every square inch of it). We immediately went to the front desk to alert them of the mix up regarding our reservations. They then gave us room 216. We walked into this room and were equally as dismayed and disgusted. Again, the room was not ocean front and it was even filthier than the first room. We proceeded back to the front desk to inquire about this room. We were told that this WAS considered ocean front and they had no comment as to the filthiness of the room. Just as a side note....the framework for the patio door leading onto the balcony was approx. 8' off the floor....a serious tripping hazard at best. I have to wonder what OSHA and ADA code inforcers would have to say about that situation. At any rate, we were told that this was as good as they could do for us until morning and that even then, the room would be equivalent to what we had already seen. At this late hour (midnight), we had no other option but to try to endure it for the night. We slept atop our bedding and awoke the next morning immediately getting on the phone with the booking agency. They managed to get management to waive the reservation....thank goodness, as our vacation would have been ruined had we had to stay at this flop house. Fortunately, we got in our car and headed up the blvd. and found a fabulous hotel .....The Beachcomber. These people were fantastic!!!! They got us a beautiful room for a very affordable rate. We finished our get-away on a very good note thanks to the wonderful folks at the Beachcomber !!! Please heed this post if you are contemplating staying at this hotel....... The place is completely filthy and in total disrepair. It's only saving grace is a nice pool area. I wish we had paid attention to the blogs we had read prior to booking this hotel. IT IS FILTHY AND THE PEOPLE RUNNING IT ARE COMPLETELY RUDE AND DISHONEST."

"Dear Bookit,com, We were very disappointed with this hotel. The first room they gave us was so filty I could not believe it, we went back to the desk and was given another room that was just as bad. We went back again and was given 3 other keys to rooms and had no choice but to pick the less dirty one. We did not even unpack and slept on top of the covers. In the am we called you and was told we would lose our money because they had rules, the woman I spoke to was trying to be very helpful, we proceeded to go back to the hotel and spoke with a manager, and he gave us again another room it was still not very clean but again we had no choice. In the morning I went to take a shower and there was no hot water, we called the front desk and was told to leave it running for 10-15 minutes and it will get hot, can you believe this. I as well as my friend Phil have traveled a number of times and have never in our lives seen such filth. OH yes and they used shopping carts in the hotel to cart towels and other things around. The valet kids were very good and polite. This hotel ruined out stay, "

"The location and look from the outside in thru the checkin area is top notch, however the rooms are horrible. We checked into our 1st room, and turned around and asked for a different room, the floor was chewed up, the windos filthy, and smelled of smoke and mold.The second room wasnt much better, but we were beat from travel, so it worked, until......
The room was on the 2nd floor, and right above the nightclub. The boom from the music was so loud it shook the room til about 3am, the next morning we asked once again for a more suitable room. The staff was very welcoming to our requests, and the 3rd room was a very nice change from the other 2, night and day. dont understand why they would even use the bad rooms, it looks as if there is some renovation going on.
The staff and location are the reason we would return.
other than the rooms themselve, the place is fantastic."

the hotel occupies only four floors, the arrogant owner, a former pizza baker from michigan has absolutely no clou how to run a hotel business nor does he know customer service. every room is different and is furnished with closeouts this hotel is a filthy dump, continously under renovation, and should be reported to the health departement, florida hotel assoc. and the bbb.
the pool was dirty and the whole situation of the surroundings not comfortable.
the only good part was the location on the beach and the food in the tokio blu restaurant.
i was in the hospitality business in hawaii and my point of view is no make up.
my advice, spend your money elsewhere.

"The hotel was very well situated and that made my family very happy.
the service was poor because we didn't have towels and every time we asked to have some (replace) they took a lot of time.
the hote was very loud (renovations) and we were planing to sleep but at 6:00 am hammers, people talking, and other kind of noise wake up us very rude.
We didn't have shower courtain in our bath (modern style) every time the kids and us took a shower the floor was wet and dangerous (we used the towels to dry the floor).
the never sweep the room and the halls were very dirty. I saw doritos and potato chips in the corner of the hall the 1st day of my stay and I saw the same ones the last day.
There was a party in the penthouse and a lot of teenagers were screaming very loud until 3:00 am and that day we couldn't sleep.
The good thing about the hotel (not everything was bad) the rooms were very large, modern and we tryied to keep them clean. we bought a broom!!!! because the sand from the beach gets inside the room no matter how much you shower before coming inside the building.
the hotel was under renovation and probably you SHOULD mention that when publiciting, other wise you will have plenty of unsatisfy customers. did not like to pay $10.00 extra per day because they claim are a hotel/spa and 28 for parking... also som rooms where under remodeling and they star averyday at 8:00 am, "

"This hotel was not very clean at all. We stayed there for 6 six days because I could not get my money back. I booked on bookit.com because the price was right, and the pictures were beautiful on the Internet (JOKE). The only things I LOVE about this place are the TIKI area and direct access to the beach. The pool had trash floating around, the carpet in the halls were FILTHY (dirty & trashy), and the rooms)! Even with what we paid, if I could have received a refund, I would have. The first room was very old (the tub was horrible and cracked, the walls were dirty and peeling, the furniture was old, and the sofa was dirty). Then I complained and they put us in a room with a bullet hole through the door, no additional bolt lock, so every night we slid the dresser over to block the door, and it had a balcony that was just NASTY! I had to go and buy me some decent towels because their towels were very shabby, and I had to buy a plastic mat for the tub, because I refuse to put my feet on that crap. I asked for a remodeled room and was told they were only for customers who purchased directly through the hotel. I just happen to see one of the remodeled rooms...BEAUTIFUL. But if I had known that, I would have booked directly through the hotel; therefore, I believe that www.bookit.com was very deceiving in making my arrangements. I feel the lady who booked me should have known that the rooms designated for bookit.com were a HOT MESS!!!! Now, they are working on the hotel, and if all rooms are remodeled next year, I may consider. But other than that - GREAT PRICE OR NOT - NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!"

"Best location for couples to meet sunrise!!!Important:to request a RENOVATED ROOM.If city view/ocean view - 3d or 4th floor and up is good. When check-in ask for Wellcome package with drinks promotion.Location is for people who want to be close to the beach but in quite are. Swimming:make sure the pool is heated or ask stuff about heated pool nearby.The private beach is Best and save in first part of the day, second part sun is away and you can go in the city.If you want to go swimming afternoon and get some sun tan consider visiting International Swimming Pool of Fame($5 day pass).Transportation: cabs from hotel or local car service(need address to book upfront), bus station across the street( take bus schedule inside- saves a lot of time!).buy $4 day pass if travel more then 2 times a day, Sun Trolley(50 cents).OUTSTANDING breakfast 10 min walking UP the beach to the pier($7 special). Dinning ( Las Olas blvd), clubs after in Riverfront location with wonderful music/color fountain, old city is there too with all museums. PLEASE visit Mai-Kai there,amazing experience of Island dinning and culture.

"A total misleading place, internet works only in lobby, place needs total renovation, pool is not heated in this time of the year (December), or they do not turn it on, faucets are so hard to close or open that sometimes leak some water, they do not clean the room, or either offer you towels. For sure I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY......"

"If you are considering this hotel please be sure you ask for a renevated room. it took three times to get in a decent room, and try to deal with vivian only at the front desk, she was the only one who was nice and got a decent room. The doors looked like bullet holes in them. The hall ways smelled, but the pool area and tiki bar was very nice ."

"I was in a room immediately over the front lobby ... while they were blasting out the floor. The room was a suite with fridge & stove - very nice to be able to save on pricey restaurants for every meal. My biggest complaint was the valet parking - but it basically worked. The location on the beach was perfect and I would definitely return."

"if you're looking for a 5 star resort.....this isn't it, but it was decent enough for a nice stay....Bar area and pool are really nice and the bar staff is great....definately take the water taxi tour. It was a blast"

"This place was GREAT! Super clean. Friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is that not much else is included aside from your stay. For example, chairs with umbrellas at the beach are for an extra cost even though you're a guest at the hotel. You also need to leave a $5 deposit for beach towels (which is returned to you when you return the towel but it's just a hassle!). Aside from the 2 things I just mentioned I really enjoyed my stay and would DEFINITELY return. (I visited with my husband and 2 kids ages 1 and 2.)"

"probably the best experience i have had in years. great value for the money. i have already recommended at least four or five friends and family members. the only negative feedback i have, is that there was a lot of debris on the balcony, as we as the fact that one of the closets appeared to be for storage of equipment. other than that, the ocean front room was breathtaking. "This resort is old and dirty, paint peeling in halls and room. Room 230 very noisy from air circulators outside of balcony. Bathrooms need renovation also rooms. The rooms they show are not the ones you will get. I believe those are privately own condos and not being rented just a deception to get people here. Oceanview rooms have a nice view but your view maybe from the front of the room or a sideview of the room. Parking is an extra fee along with a resort fee that is taken up front when checking in. I tried to get another oceanview room and the key they gave me was to a room someone was already in. I only stay 2 days and would not recommend this resort to anyone. The view is spectacular but the resort is way outdated for todays times. Bookit was a pleasureable expierence that is the only other positive from this trip."

"Good location being right on the ocean. Room got cleaned and took all the dirty towels but didn't leave clean ones. I call front desk, waited 45 min., then went by the front desk. Finally 45 min. After that we got the towels. Them room seemed to be half way updated, but could definately use a new bed and an updated t.v. Overall our stay was ok. Hotel has a nice ocean front tiki bar and upscaled resturaunt onsite. "
