This is the second time we have stayed at this Embassy Suites. Great location from the airport to the cruise terminal--plus they offer a package with transfers! In addition they have a wonderful evening reception and HUGE breakfast in the morning. Rooms are spacious and well cared for. Property is pretty.

nice clean, good breakfast, and evening reception. parking fee is outrageous, I think I could have booked a cheap motel for my vehicle and came out ahead. charge more for the room if you have to and lower parking rates. I don't like all of the added fees. you think you are getting a place for a certain fee and then the added fees really add to your final bill.

Overall very good. Rooms could use a little updating but are large, clean and well appointed. Hotel amenities include an extensive, to-order breakfast and buffet, afternoon cocktail hour and snacks. Staff very professional and courteous. Even provided a detailed local area restaurant map with restaurant details. Valet parking and Bell services, some WiFi costs may be extra. I will definitely use this hotel when I return to Fort Lauderdale!

The hotel needs to be power washed. They only clean the surface so there is mold in the bathroom dusk thick enough to write your names in the corners and on top of furniture in the rooms. For a tourist attraction hotel it is very unorganized we could only eat breakfast once due to all the confusiion people every where pancakes were cold and after standing in the very long line to get a omelette I was givien the wrong one. Thank God I am not allergy to anything.

Pre-cruise stay ... We enjoyed the hotel (it was packed many of the Princess or other ships leaving the port stay there) for good reason ... Its is lovely place to stay rooms are great large accommodations. We had a room with a living room and that is always nice extra space. Shopping is right down the street... nice restaurants close by. OKAY, this was not our first stay at this hotel. We went back because our previous stays have been problem and stress free... this trip was neither! This hotel experience was unpleasant almost from the start: 1. The valet staff was extremely rude to my son (who lives in the area) whenever he arrived at the hotel to pick up my wife, lounge at the pool, or do anything. 2. When trying to order lunch from the pool area, the waitress NEVER returned after providing menu 3. Bartender was unprofessiona... Read more

I often stay at Embassy. The stay is always great. The food was good. This time I was taken back by the acceptance of children in the bar area during manager hour. I am not acustom to children in the sam space that I drink in. They were allowed to go thru the bar from the pool and seating area. The were also allowed in the seating area that is just outside the bar, Also, when we called the front desk, no one was really ever available to answer the phone. Wifi was very spotty.

This Hotel was very well structured from arrival to departure. The rooms were very clean, proper supply of amenities within the room. very pleasant staff from front desk to house keeping. Even with the language barriers. Breakfast was always quite good. However if you are staying there for an extended period, breakfast becomes mundane as the same items are on the menu day in day out. We booked this hotel in the very night we were going to stay. After arriving there, we had no trouble checking in and absolutely no problem with our room. A very reasonable price and pet fee ($25) got us a two full beds room with coffee maker, a good bathroom and mini fridge. I visited this hotel the night before departing for a cruise. Though the hotel is convenient in terms of getting to the port, I would recommend staying elsewhere. Entire hotel feels dated, overly crowded and generally unclean- there was a huge stain on the carpet in our room. I have been here frequently. This is a turnstile location due to its proximity to the cruise port. They work hard to maintain the look and feel of a vacation location and have outstanding customer service provided by the likes of Sandy and of course Ms. Carol at the front desk. They make me feel like I arrived home at every visit and I appreciate that they remember me by name. There are many options in the 17th Street area of Ft. Lauderdale but this is clearly my favorite.

Love the koi pond and "waterfalls". Rooms are large, beds comfortable, but outdated, a bit dirty (hair in the tub upon arrival). Stayed at Westin Beach the week before and was much happier there.

Average hotel, absolutely horrific WIFI, actually, non-existent!! The hotel did not seem to want to put any energy into solving the problem for anyone, not one person in the hotel could get internet. The manager just said, "Yep, it's just over-loaded, nothing we can do about it." As a hotel you need to be prepared, in this day and age of technology, for every single guest to use WIFI, every conference attendee to use WIFI. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Lovely hotel just minutes from Port Everglades. Large courtyard, beautiful pool area, manager's reception every day 5-7 with free drinks, free made-to-order breakfast - what more could you want? Suites are spacious and clean, although the size of the hotel makes most rooms quite a walk from the elevators. Very close to good restaurants incl. Duffy's Sports Bar, plus Publix, Total Wine and other shopping within walking distance. A quick $9 shuttle ride to the Port, easily arranged with the concie... Read more

This was not our first stay, we have been here before a cruise in the past. Convenient to both the airport & cruise ports, it is a good value. Evening cocktail hour and morning breakfast are included. The rooms are large enough for 4 with a living room & sleeper sofa. The breakfast was just OK-- but enough when you are getting on a cruise in a few hours.

I stay in this hotel every year for the boat show, I normally book 3 or four rooms for myself and my staff while we are here working the show. I have been staying at this hotel for more than 20 years which includes days when this was a Sterling Suites before it was an Embassy Suites, yet the attention to the maintenance of the grounds and continual updates to the rooms make it feel almost like a brand-new hotel, good job. But the hotel property is not why I am writing you tonight, but it is ... Read more

It was very convenient to airport and cruise terminals. We walked to the Publix store, and bought sandwiches; as we were hungry after not eating all day. We didn't really need to buy food; as we could have gotten by with all their snacks. The snacks and free drinks were a plus. And the breakfast was awesome. A little pricey, but worth it. Would stay there again. We were on the 7th floor.

The hotel was nice, great location for Port Everglades. We had a corner suite with a small balcony (just to stand on). Stay was pleasant and we walked to some stores. My Wi-Fi didn't connect and the fire alarm went off in the early am hours, but customer service took care of us the next day! Very nice staff

I've stayed here several times for work. I like Embassy Suites for the in-room mini fridge and microwave, for the evening reception, and the hot breakfast. Front desk was friendly and helpful, as were the valets. Housekeeping was poor with dirty shower and other problems. Room also had a dangerously rumpled carpet from an attempt to steam clean a large stain. Walkways not vacuumed. But the linens were crisp and clean and the bed very comfortable.

Stayed 3 nites and as diamond member found property and staff exceeded all expectations. Room was clean and serviced well, breakfast was tasty and d├ęcor of hotel was nicely done. Only recommendation is at Manager's reception in evening they could add in some better finger food options such as cheese/crackers or hot dish vs. primarily salty snacks such as chips, pretzels & popcorn. Valet team & front desk were very helpful!

I was reluctant at first, but in the end there is no other hotel to be pre-cruise but this Embassy. We stayed at the Premium Suite, we arrived 9 am and our room keys was waiting for us, yes at 9 am!. We also got unlimited access on the vending machine. Our room is at 11th flr rear of the bldg. there we saw 3 ships from our balcony and a bit of the Harbor Shops. We will stay here again if we ever find ourselves cruising out of Port Everglades again.

We recently flew in the day before our cruise. We arrived early before 11am. Our room wasn't ready which we expected. However they stored our luggage and took my cell phone number and would text us when our room was ready. There is a shopping center behind the hotel so we walked over and had lunch at 5 Guys. As we were finishing our lunch I received a text stating our room was ready. We were given a king size bed as requested when we booked. They also have a FREE managers reception from 5:30 to ... We flew into Ft. Lauderdale at 6:15 in the evening. Retrieved our luggage, got a taxi (about a $15 trip) and arrived at the hotel by a little after 7pm. We quickly settled in our room before heading down for the Manager's Reception which we were told on check in would be ending soon. We were treated to 2 for 1 complementary drinks and some snack type foods - pretzels, salsa and chips, pop corn, etc. There was a wide variety of dinner options within walking distance of the hotel in a variety of ... We recently stayed at The Embassy Suites the day before our cruise. We were arriving at FLL @8;30 AM, the day prior to the cruise. For $25 extra, I would be able to check-in early, if available. Well, we were very happy that it was available @ (;30 AM when we arrived. The hotel itself is just beautiful. When outside by the pool, you feel like you are at some posh resort. All the staff treated us wonderfully, & breakfast the next AM was a huge buffet, including made to order eggs/omelets. Would I... Read more

We stayed here the night before our cruise. I did like the open atrium in the center. It gave it a unique atmosphere. I don't know if its just me, but the outside of the building is reminiscent of the much larger Tower of Terror. In its heyday, before being haunted, of course. I don't know why, it just does, look for it. The pool is gorgeous. They also have a koi pond. People must feed the koi fish regularly because if you stand on the bridge the fish flock to you. Great pictures. Our room wasn'... Read more

We just checked into Embassy Suites hotel and we are so glad we chose it! We finished a 7 day cruise and wanted to take 3 extra days in Ft Lauderdale to relax and enjoy the Florida weather before heading home to New Jersey. This hotel is really beautiful. The grounds and lobby of this hotel are gorgeous! The pool is lovely. Our room is large and has 3 sinks! We walked around the surrounding area and found MANY great places to eat and shop! Room relative clean but AC would not stop running so had to turn off to sleep but then woke up in middle of night hot and had to turn back on. Breakfast was crowded and tables wobbly but food selection. Managers reception the normal for Embassy. Used precheck undo quick to room.

My experience was similar to some others on here. It's an OK stay for one night pre-cruise. Hotel rooms are fine to okay. Breakfast was busy but good. My only real concern is there seems to an employee morale issues. Some just weren't that friendly or didn't really try to make sure guests had a good experience. Slow service at the front desk, not cleaning up much at breakfast etc.

I can't say enough great things about this property. The "happy hour" was excellent..service, quality of drinks and snacks. You are greeted with a smile and a lively welcome at the reception desk. Arrive around 8am..they had my room ready early. The room was immaculate and maid very nice. We had lunch and dinner and was impressed with the quality and tasty food. The shuttle drivers were so accommodating. This is my second stay. I will return and tell others.

I struggled to say something positive because this was among the most disappointing lodging experiences I have had in the past few years. Ok, the reception desk was cheerful and the bananas on the buffet were perfectly ripe. Also, the gym equipment in the small fitness center was operable. Now to the heart of the matter. I am a Hilton honors member with diamond status so I do quite a bit of traveling. This might be the worst Hilton property I have been to in years. It had a mildew smell, which... Read more

While this property is showing its age, it is still a good choice for the night before your cruise. After about an $18 taxi ride from the airport, the check-in was very fast and the room was ready as promised. We were on the top floor (12th) so we had very little noise. We stayed one night prior to a cruise ship departure. On the good side, great location to the cruise port, has a nice pool area, Atrium, pleasant staff, and thatÔ??s about all the good I can come up with. The bad is; this place needs a serious face lift. The rooms are dark, worn out furniture and beds, warn carpets throughout, and you get the idea.

Reception staff very kind and clerk in gift shop was so sweet..but the maintenence/cleaning staff didn't take much pride in their work.
