This place must have been something back in the day! It is really just a dilapidated motel, but the location is really great. Right on the Strip and Bahia Mar marina. The water taxi makes a stop at this location, which is really nice. The rooms were clean, but in dire need of a remodel. We had an efficiency, typical set up, but odd use of space - the bathroom was teeny-tiny and you walked through a big closet to get to it - weird! I will say the beds were comfortable, which was a big surpr... Read more

I've coming to the Bahia for years and love it! It may need a like TLC in some areas but the part that counts to me is the staff and there attention to there guests . Thanks everyone at the Bahia Cabana for another great year for our fishing tournament and the Bar and Kitchen staff Kudos to all for your great meals and service.

Although we were wary of some of the negative comments for Bahia Cabana we decided to take a chance for a 2-night pre-cruise stay (it's about 3 miles from Port Everglades cruise port). In the event, we were happy we did. OK so it's a little tired at the edges and maybe in need of some TLC, but it does have 'character', and at the price (I don't imagine it pretends to be 5-star), and its location, across the road from the beach and only a 10-minute walk along the beach to the more well-known Las... I was concerned about this spot after reading mixed reviews but after seeing the price ($114 bucks w/ parking fees per night) we figured we'd give it a shot. Came for a weekend trip to see a concert with my husband and our best guy friend. This place was absolutely perfect! Quaint little hotel on the water, the beach is within walking distance across the street and there is a local bar attached to the hotel with great food and drinks (open until 3 AM). The entire hotel staff was awesome and the ... Read more

I enjoyed my stay here and would probably stay again if I came back on a short trip. The rooms were outdated but clean and the location is excellent. The food at the bar/restaurant was pretty good as well. Not a bad place to stay for someone on a budget.

I booked this hotel using that's important to note because the misinformation came from them as well as the Bahia Cabana. To start, when I booked they explained that nothing will be charged to my account until I checked in. So I used a card to hold the booking. Which they then charged almost immediately. (I have proof of this). Then the website explained that there was an additional 17+ in taxes that the hotel would collect. But there's also 13+ dollars a day for incidentals and 17+ ... Read more

Great location, live music, very good food. Had the fish tacos and the grilled garlic shrimp. Amazing. Very upbeat outdoor patio bar right on the fishing docks. Lisa & Lauren made my trip. 40% off drinks & apps during HH. When talking to the locals you will usually get the inside scoop on where & not where to go. Lauren you simply f'in amazing. Thank you ladies. Best Wishes Dominic from NY.

Room is comfortable and so is the bed. Across the street from the beach. Has a bar and restaurant which is awesome. Staff is super friendly. Could use some sprucing up on the outside, which would make it look like a top beach hotel instead of looking like a motel. Another thing they could do is not charge like $15 or $20 a night for parking. I'm not sure I would stay here if my company wasn't paying for it solely due to the extra charges. Overall nice though.

We ate here our first night in Ft. Lauderdale. It was a short walk from our hotel room. The atmosphere was nice. We really enjoyed eating on the water. The service was great and the food was pretty good. Price was a little high but everything is higher in Ft. Lauderdale. The portions were a good size and we received our food quickly. I would recommend this restaurant and eat there again.

We went for an anniversary get away for 3 days. Although the rooms are old, they are adequate and very spacious and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. The resort is across from the beach, has a pool, a restaurant, and entertainment nightly. The happy hour is great, and the food is good. Having the beach across the street is a plus. We enjoyed our visit. The resort's staff if friendly and helpful, and the resort is conveniently located to visit Las Olas and other areas.

The Assistant Manager( Carolee) was so helpful and went out of her way to make sure all my needs and requests were taken care of immediatley and even gave me a upgraded suite because of my length of stay. My family and I came down to spend a weekend in Ft.Lauderdale and had a great first experience at Bahia. The valet attendant Eric was extremely polite and helpful. He recommended some great things for us to do while we visited, which made our experience much better. The hotel room although old was comfortable and covered all the essentials we needed. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back.

With its Marina dock, the poolside cabana bar and being across the street from a public beach park, and the walking distance to the water taxi it's a great location. But I've covered all the pros and none really touch on the hotel itself. Everything else is pretty abysmal. The bed was rock hard, linens scratchy and too heavy for the climate. The AC in our room in the 600 bldg was a wall unit that couldn't keep up with the irradiating sun coming through the windows from the 1950s, with blinds... Read more

What should have been a quick bite to eat with friends enjoying the wings, quesadilla and burgers took over two hours, with constant chasing of waiters to order food and then refresh the drinks - the food, when it did arrive was luke warm and needed to be returned, which then of course took an age to reappear. Bahia Cabanas is conveniently located to Fort Lauderdale Beach, within walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants, and very affordable! The rooms need a little TLC, but who's spending their day in the room?! The cable channels were touch and go, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Small pool but a bar/grill within steps. I'd go back.
