"The hotel desk clerk/concierge was wonderful. I couldn't have asked for better guest service. The rest of the staff was excellent as well.
After a long misguided flight after long delays, complete with lost luggage, the hotel was able to adjust my booked room and accommodate my situation. The desk clerk even brought me a robe and some hot tea which put my mind at ease.
Both in-house restaurants had incredibly good, very fresh food. The bartenders poolside along with the ones in their Asian-fusion restaurant were friendly and creative. The Creme Brulee martini is an absolute must try.
While I was hoping for beach attached, a balcony and a full-service spa (it's massages only). The services that were available were excellent and the beach was across the street from the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious, the view was spectacular. All of the restaurants and bars in the area were within walking distance. Parking was pricey, yet typical for that area. I would gladly return to this hotel."

"On the whole, this was a very nice stay. However, I wouldn't call this 'luxury' nor a 'resort.' If you want true luxury book the Ritz Carlton down the street. But for the money, this was a nicely renovated hotel (there's a curtained area in the lobby that is to be a lobby bar but I was told it's been 'in the works for over a year.') It's beachy clean decor is refreshing. The only thing missing is a balcony. I was wishing for one to open so I could get a feel of what the temperature was outside. I think that would have added so much to the experience. However, the large window in the room made the room feel spacious and offered a beautfiul view of the beach and morning sunrises. (A minor distraction in the view was two to three cargo ships (while we were there) that have access to an anchor point.. Note: you would see these from any hotel.) The beach is across the street; they are for all the hotels in the immediate area. I thought it was going to be an inconvenience but it's not. It's a different experience than that of a resort right on the beach They have beach chairs and umbrellas for rent ($50 for two chairs w/cushions and an umbrella.)
Considering they had to renovate within the same footprint, I have to commend them for doing a great job with the space they have. So with that understanding, yes the pool is small with limited seating but it wasn't a problem when we were there -- it's clean and the bar serves nice drinks and our bartender, was really nice. Also it has a great sushi bar/restaurant -- fantastic sushi! The front desk staff is very nice and doubles as the concierge. We didn't rent a car. (Our way to not drink and drive!) Our means of transportation was the trolley $2 all day (ends 6:30 p.m. beach trolley), taxi (to the local stops like the Blue Martini which had fun music and martinis and another night to Capitol Grill -- both were a $5 fare one way, and water taxi (which was a nice ride/tour of the intercoastal and homes. There's a stop for the water taxi just over the bridge (walking distance) and you can get off at a number of spots. We went late afternoon and got off at Los Olas Blvd for a nice walk along the shops and a Great! dinner at Voodka (on Los Olas Blvd.) So unless you really need a car, I'd forego it.."

"Modern updated hotel! About a mile each way to resturants. Booked a king, reviewed confirmation a few days before arrival and it was booked as 2 doubles so I called 4 days in advance and they corrected it but when we arrived we were told we had 2 doubles. The hotel staff did try to tell me they don't 'reserve' rooms but they promptly changed it once I told them I spoke with hotel staff a few days before to confirm. $25 is a bit much for parking per day plus it is valet only. Our room was on the ocean side on the 4th floor and the view was amazing specially for a 40th birthday!!!"

"This hotel is conveniently located across the street from the beach. The hotel is very nice except for the pool which is really small.
The breakfast buffet is worth the price.
Drinks are a little expensive, but there are some options a few feet away.
I was surprised that there were no Spanish TV Channels. Also, if you like soccer, you may have to do some traveling to watch your favorite games. Not a good thing.
Overall, however, we had a pleasant time."

"My stay at the B was ok. I didn't like the fact that we checked in early and got a room where the toilet was stopped up. The shower glass door was a half door. I didn't like that, because the water was splashing all over the place. Maintainence guy came to my room (3) times within the (3) days i stayed there. They finally offered me to have the room right next door. That room was so much better. The worker's was very pleasant, they greet you at the front door as you walk in and out of the hotel. I like the fact that the beach was right across the street. To pay for parking was out of control for me $25 per day. I found a parking lot right around the corner from the B Ocean and they charged $10 per night. That's where i parked. The hotel was a nice hotel. I was somewhat satisfied. It could have been a lil better without having the stopped up toilet and the half glass shower door."

"Visually amazing hotel that follows everything is says in it's description. The pictures are very accurate. I had to take a couple of my own just to remember what it looks like out of the 9th floor facing the ocean. We even got to see some lightening storms off in the distance in the ocean while we were in the hotel.
The only two things I would mention are the pool is just another pool and the walls are paper thin. This is a recently renovated hotel and they put in the best of everything but they obviously couldn't improve the walls between the rooms. I could hear alarms, tvs, conversations and what not. Didn't care for it at all but the rest of the hotel is worth it.
The breakfast buffet was awesome which we had when we came in as well as when we left. The staff out front was prompt and great to work with. You have to try the Italian restaurant right around the corner. Great family restaurant that had some great food. Also try the water taxi's that go out of a nearby pick up location. Great way to relax and take in some AMAZING homes and yachts.
Again, visually this hotel was amazing. All the features of the hotel we're beyond my expectations which are high. I would return in a heart beat. "

"Average hotel. I have stayed at others along the strip and would not return here. A week prior to check-in I phoned and asked to have a fridge in my room as my daughter has serious dietary issues and we needed to keep things in a fridge. Upon check-in I was advised very rudely that it was not an amenity and that I would get one if it became available. I explained that I had called earlier and was assured that I would receive one. After 5 days never did come. I would not recommend this hotel. I have stayed at others along the same strip and would go back to the others!"

"The hotel was very clean and the ocean view was great. However, we were disappointed with the hotel amenities.
The beach is public property and you have to cross the street to get to it. This is not really a problem, but it does prevent the resort from having chairs and umbrellas set up for guest use. Therefore you have to rent these from the city, which is fairly expensive. I would recommend that the hotel at least offer folding chairs that could be checked out by guests and carried to the beach.
Also, cabs can be a little expensive if you don't have your own car or a rental. There are a few things within walking distance, but a curteousy shuttle to airport and local stops would really help."

"The B Ocean Hotel was nice and sleek and all of that, but their staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful. Especially when it came to navigating the town. We enjoyed walking while we were there, but there were only a few shops right around the corner from out hotel. The others were approx 1.5 miles from our hotel, which was fine, but we weren't aware of this until our 3rd day there. Everything about the hotel was fine except for the Bistro in the lobby. We ate breakfast buffet there one day and one day only. For the two of us is cost over $30 for some fresh fruit and scrambled eggs that had been sitting in a steamer for about 2 hours. If the food had been better then I wouldn't have minded paying for it. Overall the stay was fine and was still a good weekend getaway, but i'll definitely be going somewhere better for my next vacation."

"I just came back and I have to say that I was highly impressed with the hotel and the service. The price that I booked the hotel with did not do it justice whatsoever. The room I ordered was even better than I anticipated. Top floor, amazing ocean view, ready and super clean before the check-in time. The staff was super friendly. The valet parking was expensive but well worth it. The valet knew me by name and always had my car ready within 5 minutes. When I called for a cab, they had the cab ready for me within 3 minutes. The restaurant Saia was really good and had a great view of the beach. The sushi was amazing. If you eat there, order the scallops and lamp lollipops. I am a classically trained chef and let me tell you that the food was done right. They have a drink called the Scorpion bowl. It is served up with a flaming orange cup floating in the middle and it was really strong but good. The wait staff really knew the food there and knew what to recommend, which is what we went with. It can be a little expensive but for one of the best Sushi restaurant in Southern Florida, it is well worth it. The only complaint that I do have of the hotel is that the pool area is very small and gets filled up very fast. So if you plan on spending time on the pool, arrive early because the chairs get taken up early. Other than that, do yourself a favor and book at least 1 month early to get the best prices."

"Our family decided to take a last minute trip to Florida over the Easter holiday and stayed in Ft. Lauderdale. Beautiful hotel and great location. The views from the rooms are in credible. Loved the modern, clean decor. My only complaint was the pool. The pool is really too small for a hotel of this size. It was very crowded and difficult to find a seat. Luckily, the beach is right across the street, so we made due. I would recommend staying here, just don't go to hang at the pool, especially on a holiday weekend."

"The rooms are very modern and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and all rooms overlook the ocean. However, the noise from the hallway was very noticeable from inside the room, as was noise in adjoining rooms. Fortunately, things quieted down at night, but during the day, it would be difficult to take a nap. The pool area, which I chose not to use, was in the back of the hotel and was very noisy and crowded. I was surprised that there wasn't a bar area or patio that overlooked the ocean, which would certainly be very popular."

"My first time in Fort Lauderdale. B Ocean made my experience memorable. We were able to check in b 4 check in time, that was nice. The room had the most breathtaking view of the ocean. The staff was nice, accomodating, professional and friendly. I like B Ocean, I will visit Fort Lauderdale again, and B Ocean will be my choice for lodging. "Absolutely beautiful view of the ocean from every room in the hotel. Was wonderful to wake up to the sun shining off the beautiful blue water. The beach waters were super calm and shallow enough to walk out for quite a long distance.
Hotel staff was extremely courteous and friendly. They were quite eager to assist with all of our needs/questions.
Hotel room was smaller than expect. Found the double to be a little cramped for a family. Also, no refrigerator, microwave or coffee machine, which are really important items to have when traveling with a family. Helps cut down on spending when you have a fridge to store food, and a microwave to reheat.
Still, had a wonderful time and found the experience to be totally worth, especially the view and the beach."

"I was not impressed at all.. Room was not ready to after check-in time, they forgot to clean one of the rooms we were in and the front desk was snotty about it and electronic door keys did not work for 24 hours. I would say it is a nice hotel but they really have to work on there people skills. Would not stay there again."

"Hands down, the cleanest, the best ocean views, the convenient location, 5$ cab rides to las olas, and main mall areas. Clean beach, clear water, friendly, non pushy staff, warm pool, perfect for the beach 10am-3 and then sun at pool area in afternoon. Sitting outside late at night, comfortable outdoor furniture to relax and end the days. Cool lobby unless you have vertigo, with the waves and changing colors in all, 3 fast elevators, extremely friendly and fast valet service. Its worth the 25 bucks, plus tips here and there. Wish I had my convertible mustang and not conversion van, with all the fancy rides there, but oh well, it's south Florida. We loved it from the flat screen tv mounted away from desk for room, and the big views were breathtaking. This is the nicest place we ever stayed it by far.

"We stayed at the B Ocean for 2 nights at the weekend. We absolutely loved it!! On entrance the decor is just great, very modern. I was so thrilled with the lady that took care of us checking in. She upgraded us to a king room with a FANTASTIC Ocean view. What service...Thank You!! Room gorgeous...just the right size, and I thought the soft Turtle on the bed was a truly lovely added gesture. I have stayed in all the Hotels on the Beach, but I like the B the best. There is only one thing I would have liked, and that is a coffe/tea making machine. Then we could have sat in our room, and REALLY enjoyed the view!! Would not have minded paying for it , if it was available.

"New, stylish place. Nice design. Friendly staff. Two big problems. The air conditioner, when it turns itself on in the room, makes an enormous noise and that is in what's called 'B enhanced' room, stated to be the best in the hotel. The pool is quite cold making you swim for a minute and getting out of it. It is small to the size of the hotel. is that the way to keep it empty and clean? I don't know. The gem is the staff - smiling and helpful."

Big mall withing walking distance. In my opinion, great location for area without too many people crowding you. Hotel personel were pro. Rooms were clean. Windows are big.

"Our stay at the B Ocean Fort Lauderdale was very pleasant. The room was small but comfortable for two people. Excellent sushi on site was a plus. Pool was lovely but didn't use it since the beach is so close. Restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance as well as car/scooter rentals. Off the beaten path so not as congested which was just what we were looking for. I would definately go back for a long weekend with my husband. The only negative I had was the cleanliness of the tile in shower. Staff was friendly and helpful as well."

"Rooms looked the same as the photos, very modern and the view was spectacular. Close to beach. Dined at the Bistro for lunch and breakfast, food was vey good, but found a small pizza shop around the corner for reasonable meals. Took the bus which was close to shopping areas. Staff were nice. Rooms very clean. Only complaint was the gym was hot and universal machine was not in working order. Would stay again, good value for a very nice hotel."

"B Ocean was more than I expected. The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous at all times. The pool area was very clean and relaxing especially at night. I loved the ocean view from the room. The rooms were clean and spotless including the bathroom. The beds were vey comfortable.
This hotel is conviently located on the main strip of the beach within walking distance to restaurants and shops. There are two restaurants in the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very good at $15/person all you can eat. That was the only meal we ate at the hotel. There is the Galleria Mall on Surnrise Blvd which is walking distance from the hotel. They have a very good food court with several choices of foods, and other upscale restaurants such as PF Changs.
If you want to branch out further for shopping you can ride the city bus which comes in front of the hotel at the bus stop for $2 per person each way to Sawgrass Mill Outlet Mall which is about 1hour 15 min bus ride to the City of Sunrise. This is a huge mall.
Overall, I have no complaints.
I would most definelty return again and highly recommend to others.

"Our stay at the B Ocean was great. The beds were phenominal. Everytime we were in and out of our hotel everyone we passed acknowledged our presence. That was refeshing. We had a car for a part of our trip but it wasn't needed the hotel sat among some really tasty options. Very affordable options. We had an issue with our tv but they quickly relocated us to another room. Truly a vacation I could relax on."

The only thing I would say is if you are traveling with children this is not the place to stay there is nothing child friendly about this hotel. "I was very impressed with the hotel, when we checked in I had mentioned I was happy to be at the beach because I had not seen the ocean in 23 years. It was also our anniversary of 8 years. They upgraded us to a Jr Suite. I was amazed, the bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the hotel. The bathroom was small but that didn't bother me. I enjoyed the pool area, even if it was a little smaller. Besides I figured I didn't go there to swim in the pool, I went there for the ocean! I loved it! The staff was helpful and very courteous. Be careful of some of the shops surrounding the hotel, I got ripped off by the one on the corner same side as the blue fish restaurant. There is a wonderful italian place called Franco and Vinny's just 1 block from the hotel across from Fire station on Sunrise. EXCELLENT! I thought the drinks and food at the hotel were a little pricey....but there were many choices within walking distance. I will absolutely be back and stay at the B Ocean! Thank you guys for everything!"

"I stayed one day - but have traveled before all over the world - this hotel is all it has promised to be and more. The location is great - next to nice bars and shops and on the beach. It is quite, all the room have see view. The decor is modern and clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the bed covers are a treat. The free wi-fi, the iphone docking station make it current and very efficient. The lobby is nice and good place for a meeting. Very nice bistro - good food and very nice setup - I also used it for meetings - very comfortable, full of light.
Staff were very nice, friendly and efficient - very welcoming.
I definitely recommend !!!"

"Stayed at the hotel from August 15th-17th. What a beautiful place! We stayed on the 12th floor, thanks to one of the wonderful staff who moved us there, and the view was INCREDIBLE!!! Worth the money! Rooms are comfortable and clean! (I wish there were refrigerators in the room!)
A great place to stay...no need for a car...most places are in walking distance from the hotel!
The beach is directly across from the hotel! Beautiful beach!
West of the hotel, about 2 blocks, is the convenience store 7/11. If you continue past the 7/11, about 1/4-1/2 mile you will find a Starbucks, CVS, Publix(grocery store), and a mall!
South of the hotel, one block, you will find a laundrymat and an EXCELLENT ice cream shop called, 'Yo Mamma's'. The woman that helped us out was awesome! She was definitely a people person! Next time we are in FL, we will be stopping again! :)
Close to the ice cream shop is an EXCELLENT restaurant called, 'Primanti Brothers Pizza Grill'. Excellent service, friendly staff, and great food!

"Very nice hotel! Perfect location if you love the beach area. The room had a spectacular view facing the Atlantic. We loved to watch the sunrise every morning.
