"Okay, this was my first time staying at the 4 star Mystery Hotel. It didn't give me a name, only an address, so I was a little nervous. When we pulled up, I was relieved. Hotel Check-in was simple, very friendly staff. Our room was on the fourth floor, a King Suite. Wow. A full kitchen, stocked with dishes and cookware, coffee and popcorn! Ice maker in the room was a great PLUS. The room had a sectional, nice flat screen TV, desk, bar with two chairs and king bed, big closet, and roomy bathroom counter and plenty of HOT water in the shower. The hotel was still under construction, they were working on the bottom floor, but there wasn't any noise or anything to bother us about the construction. The breakfast was free, a GREAT plus, very good, with great service and PLENTY of seating. They had a fire going in the lobby with lots of seating around it, very pleasant. Even better was location. Since it was cold, the beach wasn't my main interest, restuarants and shopping were. We walked from our hotel, to PF Chang's, (one of our favorites) in less than 10 minutes. The walk back was in the dark, but had plenty of light and side walks all the way. They also offered grocery delivery right up to your room. We were probably a 10 - 15 minute drive to the beach, but perfect for what we wanted. Great outside seating, grills and firepits, great pool area. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. They were budget friendly without compromising quality. ( it was pet friendly, but that didn't bother us at all)"

"The hotel was under construction. We had hoped since there was no mention of that, we would be able to grab a nightcap at the lounge listed, but apparently that was being renovated. Hotel check in and market was crammed into one area although staff was very polite and helpful otherwise. This would be a nice hotel to visit once renovation is complete."

"I had a great experience with this mystery hotel. Booked at the last minute so I was afraid how it might turn out. I expected it to be a 4 stars for the price I paid, but it was probably only a 3 or 3.5 stars. Nice friendly staff. Clean facilities. No complaints at all. Less than 5 minutes from the nearest beach access. Next to variety of restaurants including an Applebee literally in front of it. Would return."

"It was very nice, but not quit like the pictures show. We did not have a deck, balcony, or terrace nor did we have a microwave or a refrigertor as the pictures show. The b'fast was very good, but not worth $11.95 even with 20% off. Although the place is very nice it is by no means a 4-STAR more like a 3-STAR."

"Our weekend in Destin/Sandestin exceeded all of our expectations. The hotel was everything we could have hoped for, nice room, friendly staff and great location. We could not have found a better nightly rate anywhere. Everyone visit Village of Baytowne Wharf area for a complete Sandestin experience. The beach was just a short drive away and none of the noise and sand of being directly on the beach. At this hotel, you can be an upscale tourist and really enjoy a quiet and relaxing stay."

"The hotel was very nice. But it was falsely advertised. Other guests I spoke with said the same thing. It was advertised as being 'across the street from the beach.' This hotel is no where near the beach. You can't even see the beach, walk to the beach, or directly access it in any way. It is MILES from the beach."

"I was satisfied with my both of my stays overall. However, neither hotel was a 4-star rating. They are actually 3-3.5 stars.

The hotel in Destin tried to move me to their sister property which is pet friendly and was full of pet owners with their dogs. My reservations clearly stated to go to the first hotel and that I had reserved a King tradtional room. There was no mention that my room was a suite with kitchens. They insisted so much I almost went for it until another person stopped by and said not to buy into it that the same thing happened to him."

"Booking a 'mystery' hotel is taking a big risk but we were very happy with the results. Everything about the hotel was perfect. Immaculately clean, updated and the room itself was absolutely wonderful. The pool was nice and the guest laundry was easy to use and efficient. We booked for 3 nights and added two more nights!

We knew when we booked that the hotel was not near the beach, and would require a drive. I would recommend the public beach rather than the 'private' beach access offered by the hotel, which we found to be small and overcrowded. The public beach was about the same distance, and much nicer with easier parking."

"Hotel in San Destin is just simply awful!!! We paid almost $200 for something I would have barely paid $50 for. It was dirty, rundown. There was a dirty towel in one of the drawers-plus the couch and chair had an awful stinch coming from them! One of the elevators was completely messed up!"

"Our risk on booking a 'mystery hotel' paid off. Although not 4 Stars as stated (it's 3), for the price we paid, it was excellent. Beautiful, clean and spacious lobby, great front-desk people, and great gym for that kind of hotel. Fabulous access to Sandestin Beach and golf resort activities: wharf and marina a mile walk (or bike ride), and great bike trails everywhere. Easy to get to beach on bike (great ride) or car (free parking).
Only negative were the pool towels! They really need to upgrade!"

"We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott. We liked almost everything about it, being close to beaches, Villages at Baytowne (restaurants, activities) and outlet stores. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly BUT there is no fridge in the room, just a chiller. The only complaint I have is that our rate included free breakfast for kids 5 and under (clearly stated in bold print) but the manager said it was not THEIR policy and we had to pay for our 5 year old's breakfast. At their onsite restaurant, you will pay $11.95 for an adult breakfast & $8.95 for a kid's breakfast minus the hotel's 20% off coupon. Much too expensive so we ate out all mornings except that one morning when the 'free' breakfast was rejected.......Not sure we will go back."

"This residence inn was perfect in every way. They have discontinued shuttle service around the property to the beach and other areas of this golf resort which would have been nice. However, access to the beach was very easy and beach was lovely. Loved the nearby shopping areas and easy access to great restaurants. morning breakfast was better than most residence inns and good variety. There was a new girl checking us in and she was not well informed on the resort and where things were at. everyone else was very helpful. we would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was in a great location, with nice beach access. On a prior stay, we were able to take a shuttle to the beach area as well as nearby shopping areas. They have discontinued the shuttle and that was a little disappointing. In our room the sink in the bathroom was stopped up. We requested a repair but that never happened. We stopped by the bar and asked for 2 different drinks but the bartender didn't know how to make them. Not sure why she was in that position?? For the price it's a good, clean place to spend the night."

"Hotel accomodations were excellent except for location of our room. It was adjacent to Hwy 98 and the traffic noise made sleeping very difficult. The only problem we encountered was following check in we went to our room and found that we were short of bath towels. We called house keeping and they sent some immediately. The hotel location is excellent if you like to play golf or eat out at the many restaurants nearby. The complimentary breakfasts at the hotel were excellent."

"We really enjoyed this hotel! The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. The free breakfast was also nice, lots of choices! There was everything from fresh fruit, cold cereal, oatmeal, and a variety of hot items like scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, etc. Our kids loved the pool and hot tub! The day before our last night we bought my daughter goggles and a snorkel and her and my husband were using them in the pool and they noticed the pool was very unclean. Other then that, no complaints! The hotel staff was very friendly and the property was very accesible to different shops and restaurants. While we were at the hotel they had different themed nights for the guests, we were always out and missed them, but one night they had a big BBQ and the next night they had comfort food night. We were very pleased with this hotel!"
