This place is disgusting! I have stayed at motel 6's that were fact there is one across the street that you should try instead. Our room was a harbor view, pet friendly room for $259 total including tax. It is DISGUSTING! I forgot a bowl to feed my dogs and I wouldn't dare but the food on the floor. I fed them out of my hand. Please see the picture I am attaching. I believe this place was built in 1974 according the sign outside and not only does it not look renovated since then, it... Read more

This was a clean hotel with beautiful harbor views and friendly staff. The continental breakfast was decent and the beds were comfortable. It has a small pool very appropriate sized for the hotel. There were a lot of loud children playing in the pool from early morning til late night and adults having parties so it was loud at the pool but if you wish to avoid the noise ask for a room on the left end of the hotel. This avoids the pool view and if your balcony door is closed you can't hear any no... Read more

This place is literally situated in a harbor of heaven. I chose a room overlooking the harbor, and I must say that was the best choice. The view was everything. Upon checking in, I was informed of renovations being performed but that still didn't affect my stay. The hotel was yet and still very nice. The hotel staff were exceptional. The bed was a DREAM. Very cozy!! It was very nice to have breakfast (which is included/ continental that is) over looking the harbor, seeing the boats, and other s... Read more

This was suppose to be a romantic get a way I even had flowers Champagne and sweets delivered to our room before we checked in. Only one issue, we woke up on the second night at 2;00 am scratching, I looked and found 3 bed bugs on the bed. There were probably more but I scooped up one of them and went down stairs to show the night clerk, I wasn't really sure what a bed bug even looked like, as soon as she saw it she knew exactly what it was, I had about 15 - 20 bites on my back, legs and feet a... The staff was so great and funny. The rooms were updated, but the hotel is so old that there is only so much that paint can do. The shower tilted and towel rack was falling off the wall. The pool was cute, but to access it you have to walk through a shady looking area and there is a dumpster somewhere around b/c man can you smell it! They do have breakfast which was carbs, carbs, and hard boiled eggs. The coffee was pretty good though! This stay was good for the 2 nights we had to be there for ... Read more

The view was amazing. It's an older hotel, but convenient to all Destin attractions. Bathroom was tiny. That view though! Right on the water. Within walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Includes Wi-Fi in the room.

This is the first time I've been this disturbed that I felt the need to write a review. Let's get to it.......The hallways: Hot, Hot, Hot. Housekeeping: Rude and when I asked for 2 extra towels was told nope you can get 1. Our First Room : We walked into a stale smelling, warm room with a broken sliding door that leads to the balcony. I walked over to the A/C unit to turn it down to the lowest setting , but found it was already on its lowest temp setting and highest fan speed. I picked the phon... Read more

Pros: The room was clean. The staff was also very nice and friendly. Cons: VERY small water access, looked like more on the website. Half the sandy area is just sand on a bulkhead. And the little bit of sandy "beach" with water access requires you to walk through a dog potty area. Also, not really thrilled with the room. It was old and the bathroom was tiny. It was hot, and as it turned out, the exterior sliding glass door was the problem. It was so old! It didn't close properly and there was ... Read more

When I made the online reservation, I was drawn to this place because of the central location in Destin. We enjoyed the close proximity to everything we needed or wanted to see during our stay in the area. Unfortunately, this property has not aged well. The bathroom area is cramped, and the fixtures have seen better days. The furniture within the room needed to be replaced due to excessive wear. Also, the beds were not the most comfortable. My compliments to the staff. They were very courteous... Read more

I stayed here for a few days over Memorial Day weekend. We had to wait over an hour because our room wasn't ready at check-in. We were told it was because party goers were in full force that weekend. With a child, a baby, and being pregnant, that news didn't exactly thrill me, as it shouldn't matter, the room should be ready. My room was so extremely outdated. We could barley open the slider door to the harbor view it was so old. The view is gorgeous tho, we were right over the pool and saw all ... Read more

Doors had nasty gaps on the bottom. Bathroom had mold growing everywhere. Beds were over 10 years old with stains everywhere. Sheets had dog hair all over them. Under air conditioner in our room had spiders. Yuck. Don't stay here.

Just overnight was too long a stay. It was hideously overpriced for the quality of hotel it is. Just because a hotel is old doesn't mean it should be decrepit. There was a nice view from the balcony, marred only by the hot air from the AC unit. But don't go out there tipsy, there railings don't meet Code, meaning they are very low. We couldn't lock the sliding glass door. The rooms had laminated flooring in lieu of carpeting, a good idea considering the condition of the carpeting in the halls.... Read more
