The first room they gave us wasn't very clean, if u turned the water on in the sink u couldn't get it off. TV terrible reception. Switch rooms had a better view of the harbor but that was it. The interior had cracks and and chips everywhere. TV still not the best had to get a new remote not much better. The beds were the absolute worst, you would sink and every time u moved it made loud squeaking noises. Our backs were killing us by the am. Suppose to stay two days but checked out in the morning... The old adage you get what you pay for applies here. Could be much better with some updating of carpet, beds and rooms overall. They do have really good views here though. Would try it again based on price if they update.

Not quite poor, but definitely not average. You do get what you pay for, but, wow what a difference a day makes. Yesterday at the Royal Sonesta, in New Orleans which is billed as a 4 star, to this, which is billed as 3 star. There's a heck of a lot more difference than one star. We paid $15 more for the Royal Sonesta on Saturday and Sunday night. Soooo..... This place is ragged around the edges and does not feel clean. At all.

I love Destin for the pristine waters but also the restaurants and bars. This hotel is easily walkable to all of the fun, AJs, tailfins, maguires pub, and all the little seafood houses on the harbor. It isn't walking distance to the beach though, we just drove 15 minutes down the road to a part of the beach that we liked, across from the shopping outlets. There is the huge state park beach that is less than a 5 min drive from the hotel with affordable parking also (we just choose to drive furthe... Read more

This hotel is family run and provides great customer service. Our dogs really like staying here as well. The hotel is older but the staff's hospitality makes up for that:-) We've stayed her multiple times and enjoyed every time. Our dogs like to play in the harbor water which is right by the doggy area.
