"This is a great facility and a great location. Our family returned for our third Thanksgiving in a row and we enjoyed the in room Thanksgiving Meal for the third year in a row as well. The food and the food service was excellent. It is also a beautiful facility with a superb location. We all love the place.
However, the rooms are getting tired. The maintenance staff could have been better and the housekeeping staff could have certainly been better. It is sad to see such a great place fall. More attention needs to be paid to decor and housekeeping service."

"when i booked our trip in april 2012, i ask for a room on a lower floor with an ocean view close to the elevator because my husband is handicapped and i knew he would be spending alot of time in the room.. When we checked in they put us in a room on a low floor close to the elevator but it was in the west tower facing the bridge and McQuire resturant and lounge. I immediately went to the front desk to ask for another room stateing this was not what i had. The staff checked told me that they did not have any more rooms that they were completely booked for the week. The staff around the pool in conversation said that they were 60 to 70 % BOOKED. Band stopped playing 2:13am each night. we didn,t get much sleep and the car noises over the bridge was very loud. Not a good mixture for a restful vacation."

"The fact that I can park my truck and not get back in it until I have to go is great....so much to do right @ Harbor Walk. I asked for a premium view and was not happy they put me in the west tower over looking crab island, that was until I got in my room...there isn't a bad view, I had sunset's on my balcony every evening. I will be back next year for sure......"

"The staff was, in general, too young to be working at such a nice place so it brought the value of the place down. We arrived at 1pm, they brought us to a room that smelled of cigareete smoke then didnt have our new room cleaned until after 4pm. The luggage didnt arrive until 6pm - we had to call several times checking on it. It was an all day process. Then, we asked for a late check-out (after 10am) and they said we couldn't check out later than 10am and were unfriendly about it. Nice rooms and fabulous location but the overall experience wasn't great."

"This trip to Destin was my babymoon.. before our little bundle of joy arrives in October. my family and I had a blast. We never had to leave the resort. The rooms were spectacular, very clean, and roomy. My husband and I brought both of our families, and not one person had a bad time. I even stayed in my bikini (even though Im sure I looked like a whale, lol) the entire time. No way was I passing up the Destin sunshine ;) I will def. be going back to this resort... OH and I had a prenatal massage at the Spa!!! Pure Bliss!"

"The hotel was outstanding! Clean and spacious and enjoyed by my whole family! I would definitely return! The restaurant in the hotel was surprisingly delicious...even the poolside food was great. No need to bring towels for the pool or the beach. Both were provided. The water taxi to the private beach was a cinch and always available. Rooms were equipped with everything you could need. The fully-stocked kitchen was amazing!"

"Staff was super, room clean and large, we stayed in East Wing, view not so great but 2 balconies in room made it nice for privacy from our grandkids. The only blot on our stay was Thursday night, Karaoke night at the Irish Pub. We got NO sleep at all and checked out Friday morning. We were in 1102, if you were at the other end of the east wing, it may have been better."

"My fiance and I decided to take a 3 night & 4 day trip to this resort. I love it! Everything is brand new and the rooms are so roomy! There is a $30.00 a day fee which isn't bad at all. This place is for romantic couples & families. There is so much to do and call for the free shuttle service to take you to the place and back to the airport a week before arriving out there. Food is all around you and a 24hr. super wall-mart is down the street. You can save on food by cooking it yourself! There are a lot of places to eat at too! There is a place to eat inside the resort and they serve great food too. Check out the official website to learn about where to eat & shop at. I'm very blessed from the man upstairs for a excellent deal. Check it out!"

"Our stay at the Emerald Grande in Destin was great. We enjoyed the condo and the entire area. Our main complaint was we were hit with an additional fee of $135.00 for incidentals when we checked in that we were not aware of when booking the condo. It would have been ice to be told of this in advance. Otherwise, our stay in Destin was delightful and hopefully we will return in the future."

"Overall this was a fun trip and the location is super right on the Harborwalk, but there were some surprises that we had which need to be considered if you're looking at this place. We had a 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo in the west tower with water view. Water view is not the same as beach view and you're on the busy street side so it's so loud that we spent no time out on the patio unfortunately. Second, you only are allowed one time during the week to get your sheets changed and if you request any more times they'll charge you $50. Third, our place was close to the irish pub across the street and on the weekends they do live music from 9pm - 12am. It was super loud in the condo and hard to go to sleep. There also is a $30 per day extra resort fee that will be charged to your credit card at checkout too. You are on the marina so in order to go to the beach you have to take their water taxi that runs every 30 minutes. If you're looking for a real beach vacation this is not the place to stay, but if you're looking for a place that is right next to restaurants and entertainment it's location is great."

"We decided to stay here at this resort for our 2nd vacation here at Emerald Grande. . The 3rd day we realized the microwave wasnt working. So we called to the front desk to report it. They sent their maintence guy up to check it out. He said it hadnt been working way before we arrived there and was very glad someone reported it. They came back the next day and replaced it . When we got ready to leave 5 days later, we realized they charged us the $900.00 on our bill for that microwave we hadnt even used cause someone else had damaged it way before we had even arrived there. As well we tried to tell them that and they wouldnt even listen to us. Go figure, we were a great customer. 2 years in a row having a 7 day Vacation there at their resort and they wouldnt even listen to us!!!!"

"I must say at first we were a bit skeptical of the beautiful pictures but when we got to our room our expectations were exceeded! It's SUCH a beautiful resort. The room was super clean and our view breath-taking. With that being said there are a few things that soured the experience a bit: The free fishing and golf trips fill up quickly and quite a few people WILL be left with nothing so be early here. The hallways were SO hot. I don't know if they are air conditioned and turned off or broken. Our toilet got clogged one evening and maintenance wanted us to try to fix it before sending someone up. Although you're supposed to sign in and out for towels, many times there was no one there monitoring! And then there was my biggest qualm: concierge. There was RARELY anyone there and when there was the lady seemed very busy, uninterested in me and short with answers boardering on rude. I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Other than those things the stay was quite pleasant and beautiful. I would definitely recommend it. We had a great time."

"I booked through Book It due to the low price for this beautiful property. I should have known it was too good to be true. I specifically asked for the 10th floor and was told that they would try to get it for me. I ended up on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. What a disappointment. The Emerald Grande stated that they are 'always cleaning up Book It's mess.' They were not surprised to hear I was promised something that Book It could not deliver and that the Emerald Grande was not informed about. The Emerald Grande was not able to accommodate a move to another floor. I would definitely stay at the Emerald Grande again, but I would never book through Book It. Also, Book it could not get my address correct and had a completely different address that I do not know where they got the address."

"Pretty much as advertised. There is a $25 PER DAY 'service charge' that was not well advertised on the website. Rooms are beautiful and staff friendly. Our washer drain was not connected and it poured water all over the floor. The maintenance crew was there pretty fast to fix it. Restaurants, shopping, clubs all very close by. The pool was warm so maybe it was heated. We got golf or fishing included every day but on one day the course had a tournament and the boat had mechanical problems so we were left to find fishing on our own. The concierge is only there from about 9am to 4-5 pm. Overall, very happy and would highly recommend it."

"What a great place! Staff is very helpful. The place is beautiful. It has all the benefits of staying in a condo along with all the perks of a hotel. They make your bed, change out your towels, and bring fresh coffee everyday. Plus, you can order room service if you don't feel like cooking. The room service and restaurant are very reasonably priced! And when it is time to leave, there is no worrying about washing the linens and towels. The best of both worlds. But, beware...many of the restaurants I thought were in walking distance in Harborwalk Village have closed down (no Commander's Palace or Camillia Grill), but still plenty of good stuff left. Babysitting service is also very nice."

"This resort was very nice but there were a few problems with the cleaning service.They didn't come and clean our room for two days ( after calling 5-6 times and being told that they would be there by 5:00). Beach access is only available through the boat that takes you to the small strip of sand. The operators were very nice but it is not like being on the beach at all. One more issue that we had was that the restaurant across the street, Mc Guyers, has very good food, but the music was BLARING until after 1:00 AM. It was very disturbing especially if you have young children. "

" The Emerald Grande has very nice accommodations, the food is good in their restaurant, friendly staff. We flew there but were unaware of the free shuttle service. We used another service and had to pay $55. That service wasn't advertised well on the website. The other downside is you have to take a boat shuttle to the beach. It's a short walk to the harbor and the ride was pleasant, but again it wasn't clear on the website that you couldn't walk to the beach. Also, I read in their info that at capacity there would be 1000 in the bldg. There is only one pool, not nearly enough for capacity crowd, in my opinion. However, we were there off-season and experienced no crowds, plenty of room."

"Guests need to know there is a $25 daily ammenity charge. Also we were under the assumption that daily breakfast was included. That is not correct. We did not find either of these facts out until we checked out. The room was not vaccumed or particularly cleaned. The beds were not made nor did we get soap.Noisy at night with music from Harborwalk nightclubs. Beautiful location. "

"This place was great. We never left the condo. Eatting, bars and shopping were all walking distance. The pool was freezing and the place could use some renovations, but they are slowly renovating so everything was still nice. We had room 1209. Beautiful view and very updated bathrooms. You have to take a private boat to the beach but that was fun its only about a 10min trip and you can't order drinks on the way. LOVED IT here will be back! "
