The Embassy Suites Miramar Beach is not a beach front hotel. The website has photos of a boardwalk to the beach and sells "Water View" rooms. However, this is a hotel that is across the street from the beach and at least a four minute walk to the sand. I will give the hotel credit. When I arrived, having booked a water view room and expecting a beach front hotel, I told the front desk that this was not acceptable and not as advertised. The front desk person was very kind. She said she co... Read more

We have stayed in many Embassy Suites before, but this one stood out. Myself and my daughter accompanied my husband who was attending a conference there. The hotel has a very modern décor, bright and airy, extremely clean and superb service during the morning complimentary breakfast service as well as during the Manager's reception in the afternoon. The staff that worked the breakfast hours was extraordinary. Again, we have stayed at many Embassy Suites, but this one stood out in that partic... Read more

Quite, clean, updated and staff was excellent. Would definitely suggest staying here. Short walk across the street to beach but well worth that for a great place to stay. Breakfast was about anything you could imagine and chef was very hospitable.

Awesome hotel very close to beach. Great breakfast. Staff is usually very accomodating. Access to area entertainment is wonderful. We always stay at this hotel when visiting Destin. It is a bit pricey but location is unbeatable.

Very nice, clean, and picturesque. Front desk personnel to Food servers and Room attendants very professional. We'll be back in August 2016. Hotel is located on a very exquisite property. Surrounded by several other resorts and across the highway is a great place to shop and eat, it's called The Wharf.

This is a great location with an easy walk to the beach. The breakfast was great and offers a happy hour with snacks. A comfortable place for families to gather. My only beef would be the lack of children-appropriate TV channels and no movies to rent. Lots of families like to relax with a good movie after spending all day at the beach. Something this hotel should consider providing! Kept me from giving it a five-star rating!

The hotel is very well located and spotless. Although the hotel is vast (pls see picture below) they managed to keep the hallway/restaurant/bar/breakfast area nice and welcoming with cozy areas. The apartments are brilliant!!!! Quiet and very very spacious. ..very spacious! The staff here goes well beyond the call of duty! Honestly they couldn't be nicer, more accommodating and friendly. 2nd time staying at this hotel and it was very good both times. Conveniently located (but not in the beach), great rooms, great breakfast and happy hour, friendly helpful staff and very clean. The "water view" rooms were s bit misleading as you couldn't really view the Water except May in the distance at the right angle. But not a big issue as they have beach access right across the street.

We went so the kids could spend sometime in the ocean. Easy walking to the ocean, clean beach, and good towel service at the hotel. Negatives are that the evening snacks are very limited and not quality food. Lots of potatoe chips and pretzels but no fruit and vegetables. Other negative is that our room was above the pool and it was very noisy and we were unable to sleep til the pool closed and for some reason the fountain in the lobby was all that we could hear in our room. It was very loud and... Read more

This is an amazing resort, just beautiful. The suites were large, perfect for our family of 6. Breakfast was the best we've ever had anywhere. Only thing we didn't like was that they have a very small pool, but the private beach that's about half a block away made up for that. We would definitely be coming back.

Embassy Suites is my go-to hotel. This location delivers the experience you would expect with two exceptions - the liquor offered at the evening reception should be of higher quality and the pool for a hotel at the beach is not very big.

After searching online through several hotel options in Destin, I decided on embassy suites. When we arrived the hotel appeared to be well taken care of inside and out. It was very clean and comfortable. The "private beach access" was a little misleading. The beach access is across a road to a public beach. The beach was very nice of course and offered beauty only Destin has. The suite was very roomy and beds comfortable. We did have an issue with the air conditioning. It wasn't working prop... Nice hotel in Destin, it isn't on the water but across the street and has beach access for guests. We stayed in room 104, right off the atrium. I would not recommend the rooms on the first floor as the guests coming and going from the bar were noisy and would stop in the halls, outside of rooms, and just chat. Witnessed this happening as I was returning from the 3rd floor guest laundry, at 11:30pm, as a group of 5 individuals were within arms reach of my room, all the while my 2 toddlers were... Read more

A nice hotel that was more crowded than most Embassy Suites as this one is vacation / not as business oriented as some I stay in. Still has the normal features of receptions, food, pool, etc. located across the street from the public beach with access next to the restaurant across the street. Only negative was an odor I occasionally got from the sink. Stayed on 4th floor.

The weather, water, and beach were awesome. You do have to cross the street and climb some stairs to access the beach though. Also, if you don't rent chairs and umbrella from them, it is very hard to find a spot to set up your beach stuff... So, I love Destin and the Embassy.. However, it seems year after year the people who rent the chairs and umbrellas go out of their way to make your beach trip not so enjoyable. Just because we choose to bring our own chairs and umbrella doesn't give 'La Dolce Vita ' the right to put chairs and umbrellas within inches, in front of us blocking our access to the beach and the view. We were pinned in on all sides within our first hour this morning. We paid Embassy Suites the same amount or more to... Read more

We spent our family vacation in Destin, FL and chose to stay here based on reviews. The room was nice with a bedroom and living room space. The complimentary breakfast and evening receptions were great! There was plenty to choose from each day. The beach access was just across the street. This hotel is beautifully decorated and is a great place for families. But before I review further I want to address the beach situation. I knew the beach was across the street and most reviewers said it was no big deal, but if you are like we are and take chairs, coolers, towels, etc., it was a big deal for us. And we saw others struggling with their things, too. We are used to being a little closer to the beach, so if this is your preference, you might want to check out other hotels that have ... Read more

Great location with private beach access for guests across from hotel. Lots of shopping near by including outlet mall. Many restaurants of different types also near by. Hotel has nice staff who are very friendly. Rooms are great, they also did a great job with the recent remodel of the lobby and atrium. Very open with great furniture and decor. Coming from a Hilton Honors Silver member, i highly recommend for individual or family stay. Cant wait for the next weekend beach stay.

We stayed at this hotel on our anniversary. The hotel has a great location and we like the Hilton brand. The two issues we had were with the Internet and the shower. The Internet never did work properly, we reported it to the front desk but we were told that there was an issue with the service. Secondly, we had an issue with our shower. The shower cord fell off and almost hit my foot. We reported this issue to the staff and expected it to be resolved. We call again and the maintenance man finall... Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the suite - finally, a suite that really IS a suite! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location was spectacular! Our biggest disappointment was that given all the hype about a made-to-order breakfast led us to believe that all the breakfast items would be prepared to order. The breakfast buffet wasn't a deal breaker - just a disappointment. If we return to the Destin area, we'd definitely stay here again.

Pros-we were allowed to check in early since there was a clean room available. The staff is very friendly. There is a semi private beach across the highway. Cons- There were two dirty washcloths left in our shower. The ice machine was touch and go. We had to go to 4th floor to get ice. Breakfast ends at 930. So much for sleeping in. Stayed at Embassy Suites during Thanksgiving while visiting for the Emerald Coast Classic basketball tournament. This is an excellent location. A quick walk across the street for beach access. The rooms were great. My wife is very picky, but was extremely please when she saw our room. The staff was very nice. We will be back to stay at this location next summer. Great experience.
