Upon our arrival we were warmly created by a young man by the name of Dakota. Becuase of his warm and friendly greeting I asked Dakota to take my bags to my room and told him that during my stay I would call on him specifically when I needed valet services. All the valet personell were also very polite, friendly and professional. At ck. in I was also warmly created by Tracey. Nicole handled my reservation over the phone and truly listened to what I wanted, she was sweet, professional, and patient. And upon check-in I learned she really listened, and delivered on everything I wanted. The room was perfect! All staff, from Dakota (the valet), Ara at the front desk, the restaurant (Chef Kelly makes the most delicious Eggs Benedict), to staff members around the resort - every single one went out of their way to make me feel like I was the most important guest on the premi... We had a ocean view that overlooked the parking garage. The garage didn't ruin the view and we really enjoyed the patio. There was a latin weekend event at the bandshell down the street. Great music and delicious authentic food. Bought a bunch of the food and took it back to the room for dinner. The kitchenette came in handy along with the plates, fridge and cutlery. The staff were fantastic! Front desk was very efficient and friendly. Although we had a complicated booking the staff were ... Read more

Starting 12 weeks prior to my stay when I tried to book my reservation I spoke to Kirsten or Kristy, she was extremely rude. Upon checking in she had an angry look on her face from the beginning, interrupted the person checking me in then argued with me when I questioned her later about something. Its really too bad you have someone like her giving first impressions of the hotel. Maybe after she has her baby, she will stay home and away from your customers. The property itself, though an older property, is beautiful! The location is convenient to area restaurants, the boardwalk, pharmacies and grocery stores. Plenty available parking and walking distance to entertainment. The beach is just outside your balcony. Whether you walk, run or simply stand in the sand you'll leave feeling new again.

Wonderful all around! Beautiful hotel, clean spacious rooms, great staff, and beautiful views! The service was great, all staff members were efficient and friendly. I would definitely come back to stay. Great location walking distance to fun attractions and restaurants. Restaurant on site is excellent and spa was also nice. This place is a definite hotel I would recommend.

My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations or the staff. The ocean-view room was spectacular, and the staff was probably the most friendly and helpful we've ever encountered. The overall value couldn't be beat, and we look forward to a return visit.

Friendly staff, great location (one of the best locations on Daytona Beach), very nice rooms and amenities all at a reasonable price. The hotel has an enormous amount of conference and banquet space - we had a small conference room for a day-long business meeting and everything was perfect including the catered lunch.

Sight unseen this hotel was surprisingly nice! We were promptly welcomed by Leah at the front desk and she gave us the rundown of amenities and even some fun stuff for us to do as a family. The room was nicely set up with comfortable beds and nice granite throughout with a great ocean view balcony! The restaurant is called 1888 and I was not impressed with the dinner we had! It was expensive and tasted awful! My wife had salmon and it wasn??t fresh and she did not like it! I had a pasta dish that had no flavor and was equally awful! They even tried to charge me for the side vegetable (awful asparagus) even though it was suppose to be included. Breakfast was better!... I can't say enough great things! Location: We visited in December/January for our honeymoon. As Florida natives, we were familiar with Daytona, but really preferred to stay in a location a little quieter than the main drag, especially since we were there over the New Year's holiday. This location is wonderful, as we were able to stay on the secluded beach during the day, but walk to restaurants and activity by the pier in the evenings. Also, the fire pits on site were nice after a walk on the b... Read more

We enjoyed our first visit to Daytona with our stay at the Plaza. For this time of year our expectation was for a busy beach as most are, but it was quiet here. Even with the youth groups that came in, the beach was not crowded at all. The room was comfortable. You are given the complimentary water and drinks at the bar as described. We toured the meeting space and found it to be a grand environment with huge marble columns and gracious old-style sitting areas. Some people waited up to 30 min to fit in an elevator), rooms are pretty small and not the quality of a 4 star hotel, fridge took about 8 hours to cool, people were smoking Marijuana in a room on our floor (nothing was done until I complained), parking is pretty small, hotel needs repairs on tile, roaches on stairs, no towels beside the pool. There was mold in the bathroom and there was no bathroom counter whatsoever. We had to use the stairs to go up and down 7 flights of stairs EVERY TIME! The parking is not adequate for the amount of traffic. They were drilling and hammering before 8 am on several mornings of our stay. Calling the Plaza a Resort Spa is a true stretch of the imagination.
