Daytona Beach is a year-round family-oriented resort area which presents large groups of out-of-towners that swoop upon the city for differing events, most noticeably Speedweeks in early February when over 200,000 NASCAR fans come to sit in on the season-opening Daytona 500. Other events involve the NASCAR Coke Zero 400 race in July, Bike Week in early March, Biketoberfest in late October, and the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona endurance race in January.

Perry`s Ocean Edge Resort is situated on A1A right on the beach. Racing fans can dash off to the Daytona International Speedway for a complete admission tour (a 15-minute drive). Guests can saunter along the walkway of "the World`s Most Famous Beach," two miles away. Golfers can take a stroke on either of two 18-hole championship courses at the LPGA International (a 25-minute drive). The hotel is six miles from Daytona Beach International Airport.

Perry`s Ocean Edge offers air-conditioning in public areas, elevator, facilities for the disabled, fitness and health center, ice maker, high-speed Internet access, Jacuzzi, swimming pool-indoor and outdoor, and laundry facilities. They also take pride in a 10,000 square foot atrium. A light breakfast with fresh coffee and doughnuts is included which is served in the breakfast area in the lobby between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. If you want to hang out on the beach, they have beach/pool umbrellas. There is a restaurant on the grounds and a bar/lounge when you`re hungry or just want a drink and appetizer. Barbecue grills are offered for grilling out. This is a smoke-free facility.

There are wonderful breakfast type items on their menu. They offer American cuisine at reasonable rates. You won`t be disappointed.
