"Hotel was much to be desired. While overall cleanliness was ok, the hotel was not as 'new' as they made it out to be. Housekeeping failed to provide enough towels and washclothes for our party of 4 without having to ask. Rooms were cleaned until very late in the day - sometimes 2 or 3 oclock. Hotel did not provide shampoo or conditioners and soap bars were tiny at best. Continental breakfast - don't let them kid ya - a few boxed breakfast bars and coffee and orange juice - and only till 9am. Pool area was probably the nicest thing about the hotel - nice pool and hot tub. Hotel was very boring - no tiki bar or restaurant- no entertainment like some of our past stays in St Pete and Myrtle Beach. Not a lot to do in the area either. Sorry but would not recommend !"

"Our recent stay at this hotel will not be our last. The rooms were clean and felt like Home away from Home, the staff very friendly and helpful and we had an exceptional view. Small continental breakfast was just enough to fuel us for our long walk on the beach. Would have liked to see Florida Natural Brand OJ in support of our Florida Citrus industry. "Our stay at Emerald Shores was very favorable. The staff was extremely helpful, our room was warm upon arrival so we called the front desk and they sent someone up immediately and was corrected immediately. Our rooms were very clean and the whole hotel was clean. Pool and hot tub was very nice. All of our request was met (we wanted adjoining rooms and we got them). We highly recommend Emerald Shores to anyone, and we will use them again."

"I have been vacationing in the Daytona Beach area for over 30 years. My family stayed 7 nights at the Emerald Shores hotel. What a pleasant surprise to be greeted by one of the best hotel managers in the Daytona area. My daughter had a birthday while we were there. No problem another staff member quickly recommended a Mexican restaurant for us. I stayed in an oceanfront room on the eighth floor. These rooms are bigger than most in other Daytona hotels. The balcony is spacious and has an excellent view of the Atlantic Ocean. This hotel is located in quite section of town perfect for families. The continental breakfast was coffee orange juice and snacks. The pool was clean and the hot tub was blazing hot. I will be back here next year."

"This was our second year at Emerald Shores it was great. It has great access to all the interesting points in Daytona Beach, easy access to Orlando and we ventured to Merritt Island this year. "The Emerald Shores Hotel experience was great for me and my wife. When we got there the receptionsist was very nice and upgraded us to an ocean view room for free. The room was well kept all 5 days we were there and clean. The pool was very nice and the few steps to the beach made it all worth it. For the price, this hotel was great. Would definately use it again for a vacation."

"When we arrived, our room was not ready. We had to wait 'drive around' for almost an hour. When we were finally able to get into our room there were no luggage carts available. We ended up taking most of our things to room in several trips. Finally, we were able to get a luggage cart for the last trip. The room was on the ninth floor with an ocean view. The room was clean and well kept. The refrigerator, stove and sink were spotless. The beds weren't the best but certainly not the worst. The view from the balcony was incredible. We asked for extra towels and received them without a problem. There was no iron or ironing board in the room but after a call to the front desk one was brought to our room. The laundry area was very adequate for washing towels and swim wear. The Internet connection was virtully non-existent. The biggest complaint we had was the lack of luggage carts. Only two for a hotel with nine floors. We weren't able to get one on the day we left and had to make numerous trips back and forth to bring our items from the room to the car. They REALLY need to invest in several more!! All in all we had a wonderful time at the beach and at the pool. Although there were some downs, I don't think they were enough to keep us from staying there again."

"Room smelly; sheets dirty/stained---asked for the bed to be remade & a maintenance man was sent up & said, 'here's your sheets.' No housekeeping staff on after 4pm. New ones stained also. Needless to say slept on my own beach towels. Disgusting. Would not EVER stay here again."

"Great location on the beach! The hotel is basic with no frills but was very clean, perfectly priced & served all purposes. The only negative I have is that the room doors slam & are VERY loud when other guests are closing them, which can be quite annoying if you are trying to sleep. Other than that, highly recommended for a weekend away & would definitely stay here again."

"We booked 2 rooms, in one of them the a/c was not working properly so we ended up unplugging it. The hotel was 'ok' for the price but would probably not stay again. It was far from the boardwalk and pier, and no places around to eat dinner. There was nothing in the room except a box of tissues, i.e. no shampoo or toiletries. It was clean and the pool was nice but for a few dollars more could do better."

"Spectacular view! Great rate! Emerald Shores had roped off parking for my motorcycle and a wash area with towels. Rooms smelled nice and looked clean. Wifi never came up on my iphone. House keeping should take a look under the beds though, saw some trash."

"MY WEEKEND IN DAYTONA BEACH FROM 3/2 - 3/4 WAS NOTHING LIKE IT WAS INTENDED TO BE. THE VIEWS OF THE PARKING LOT FROM MY 8TH FLOOR KING BEDROOM WERE JUST TERRIFIC. THE ONLY VIEW OF THE OCEAN WAS FROM THE PATIO OF THE HOTEL OVERLOOKING THE BEACH. THE WIFI WAS ALL BUT NON-EXISTENT AS IT WAS THERE BUT INTERNET WAS NOT ONLY INTERMITTENT BUT YOU COULD GET A FASTER CONNECTION ON A DIAL UP SERVICE. THEIR WIFI WAS SO SLOW THAT NOTHING COULD BE OPENED FROM THE ROOM ON MY IPAD AND USING THEIR COMPUTER IN THE LOBBY TOOK FOREVER TO GET TO ANY SIGHTS. THE PIECE DE RESISTANCE WAS THE FREE BREAKFAST....LITTLE DEBBIE 20 CENT CINNAMON ROLLS, CHEAP CAKE, WARM ORANGE JUICE AND COFFEE WITH A POWDER NON-DAIRY CREAMER. THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE IN CHEAPNESS BY A HOTEL. I HAVE STAYED AT MANY INEXPENSIVE MOTELS/HOTELS BUT NONE HAVE AS CHEAP WITH A CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST AS THIS PLACE. THIS WAS A HOTEL AT BARGAIN BASEMENT PRICES BUT IT SHOWED US THE BARGAIN BASEMENT QUALITY IN EVERY ASPECT OF OUR DEALINGS WITH THEM......THIS IS A 1 STAR RATING AND EVEN THAT IS PUSHING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Our stay was OK. The free internet service advertised is a JOKE. After five or six calls the service was connected late ar night. There were no iron/ironing board in the room. The continential breakfast was very poor. I asked for joining rooms and was given a room on one floor and another room on another floor. It is true, you get what you pay for. For a few dollars more, you can do better."

"Hotel was ok for the price. Facilities include a nice size deck on the ocean with a pool and spa, Room was clean but what I would call bare bones ammenity wise, Examples- no blanket under bedsread, no shampoo or hair conditioner, no skin conditioner, etc, Bath towels were unusually small and worn. Continental breakfast was served only until 9:00 AM as compared to a Comfort Inn we stayed at in Deland the night before where a full complimentary breakfast was served until 11:00AM. Wifi was ridiculously slow. I would only reccommend if you can get a really good deal.

"Great property- clean, nice very cheap bakery across street makes up for continental small table of wrapped breakfast items. Room was big, clean , well equipped- pots, pans, glass, refridg. and two burner stove top. very good and very quiet heat/AC.

Again- clean, no frills, very reasonable.. I have spent weeks at other properties nearby and would have preferred to stay here."

"The staff was wonderful. A beautiful location. I was a little upset with the choice of room i was put in seeing as the part i was most excited about was having a balcony on the ocean and i was put in a room on the bottom floor right outside of the pool. The beds were a little hard but overall i was please with the stay. It was worth it to stay there with the discount i received from bookit.com."

"For the most part we enjoyed staying at Emerald Shores, it was peaceful, staff was very polite and helpful, rooms were clean, very close to beach and had nice pool and hot tub. The only complaint that I would have was the bathroom floor was kind of dirty looking, I think was the tiles they had, otherwise ok. We will stay again."

"Loved Daytona! Best beach truly. Emerald shores was fantastic... its like the beach is literally in your backyard. Hotel's very clean... staff very friendly. The only thing that irked me was there was no microwave oven in the room anywhere... and i had to drink water out of the bathroom faucet [which i'm not used to yet coming from a different country where bathroom water wouldn't be drink-able]. But overall, no complaints and i think the price was reasonable... stay was fantastic... and the experience memorable. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Emerald Shores. The room was better than what we had hoped for, staff was very friendly, and hotel was clean. Just overall a very nice experience.
Location is great. It's not right in the thick of things, but just a short drive from all the touristy stuff. The beach is beautiful, family friendly, and well maintained as is the pool and spa.
The only drawbacks were 1. internet was a bit slow and when we wanted to stay an extra night, they were asking almost double what we had been paying. We just went up the street and paid what we had been paying at Emerald Shores."
