"On our recent visit to Florida from the U.K.,our visit to Daytona for the Nascar Races was greatly enhanced by our overnight stay at this excellent hotel.We stayed in a standard 2 double bedded room overlooking the ocean and the Halifax River area..The room had the benefit of a coffee maker, microwave, small fridge, soap, soap shampoo, hairdryer, T.V., the whole of the room was very clean and very well furnished.The beds were very comfortable, very clean bedding and we all slept very well. The continental breakfast was just as we have come to expect in Florida.We had contact with many members of the staff, And from the Manager & all of the staff we could not of received any better attention.

"My stay at the Oceanside Inn in Daytona Beach was un-eventfull as far as the hotel was concerned. The hotel location was ideal and right on the beach which it itself was more than the rate charged. The Ritz it's not but for location it is hare to beat. The hotel is probally of 70's vintage and can stand some renovation but then their rates would be much hire. I had no major complaints except my room was not cleaned until very late in the afternoon almost every day and the Air Conditioner was little noisy whenever it kicked in but a small price to pay for being right on the beach. I would definitely stay there again."

"I was pleased with the hotel and service they provided. The AC unit was a little noisy, but kept the room cool. I was able to do DVD rentals, get a towel for the pool, eat breakfast in the Cricket restaurant and enjoy a drink at the Tiki bar. All in all it was a very nice stay especially with the rate I received for a 3-night stay. Parking was not an issue. Good location and I would stay there again in the future."

"It's not the Riz Carlton. It's an older condo on the beach with very friendly staff. We stayed on the 5th floor with a very noisey air conditioner and very loud traffic. But, this is what we expected and made due. We had a great weekend with great weather"

"Don't be fooled by the pictures, this is an OLD condo that needs lots renovations. My wife was worried as soon as she seen it. If it wasn't for me convincing her that all we needed is somewhere to sleep and shower for few nights, we would have looked for something else. First room had a water leak from the a/c unit above us. Second room was smelled, and later on we figured out that we were put in a smoking room and I requested a non-smoking. The furniture we didn't want to even touch, they had so many stains on them. The wifi signal comes and goes. The continental breakfast isn't worth the walk/ride down to. At check out for three nights I was still charged $20.10 for resort amenities. If your going there for a family vacation DON'T STAY HERE! I book-it for $89/night and that was too much for somewhere like this, just to sleep and wash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually thought I was getting a nice place to stay, WRONG!!!!!!!!"

"WHEN
WE GOT TO THE HOTEL I HAD ASK FOR A ROOM WITH DOUBLE BEDS
BECAUSE WE ARE JUST FRIENDS AND DID NOT WANT TO SLEEP TOGETHER.
WE WERE BOOKED FOR A KING SIZE BED SO WE HAD TO TAKE IT.
THE ROOM WAS GREAT WITH GREAT VIEWS. THE STAFF WAS GREAT
EVERYTHING WAS VERY CLEAN. I DON'T KNOW WHY PEOPLE ARE
COMPLAINING SO BAD ABOUT THE HOTEL. THEY SHOULD GO TO THE
RITZ CARLTON AND PAY MORE MONEY. I HAD
TO PAY A $50. DEPOSIT AT THE HOTEL WHEN WE ARRIVED AND ANOTHER
$46.00 WHEN WE LEFT THE HOTEL FOR FEES. ALL THESE EXTRA FEES
WERE NOT IN THE BUDGET FOR OUR TRIP."

"When we first opened the door to the room, it smelled like mold & mildew from the bathroom. The air conditioner blows right into your face while you are trying to sleep. As a result of the mold combined with the air conditioner being old, I ended up getting a sinus infection. The swimming pool is very nice, but I will never stay in an older hotel again."

"When I was booking a room the things that made my choice easy was the fact that there was free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast and no smoking. I even up graded to what I thought was a room facing the beach with a balcony because it said 'Ocean view' None of this is true. The only wi-fi I could get was in the lobby, the room and all of the fifth floor smelled like and ash tray. For the continental breakfast there was danish and orange juice or coffee and cereal. My room did not face the beach and it had no balcony. When I ask about this I was told that I should have ask for Ocean front room but I still would not have a balcony. Why go to the beach and sit in a room that looks out over the street? I will never go back there and I hope everyone who reads this will stay away unless you like this stuff."

"Although the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, I was told that there would be free internet. But what I found was free wifi only in the lobby areas and not accessible from my room. Upon check-out, I paid a 13.95 resort fee (probably for the WIFI that I couldn't access) and movies that I never rented and facilities that I never used. The continental breakfast was less quality than other continental breakfasts I have had in other hotels. I will not be returning to this hotel."

"Stayed one night on the windiest weekend of my life so it never was warm enough to enjoy the pool or beach, but my family and I still had a nice time. The hotel makes obvious that it wants to provide a nice stay for its guests by saving money everywhere they can. This is not to say that they are cheap. The place is large and nice and really our only compaint is that the elevators are super slow even though the hotel did not appear to be that crowded this particular weekend. I recommend this hotel with much patience or else be willing to stay gone or stay in your room a lot."
