"Older motel, but price was cheap, so it was right in line with the price you pay. Easy access to everything, didn't have to walk a mile like the larger hotels. Our room needed new carpet but beds were good and it had a microwave and refrigerator, which you have to pay extra for at other hotels. If your on a budget, its a good place."

"The people were very nice at check in. We ate breakfast at the restaurant , a little high on prices but the food was good. The room was clean and satisfactory. The hot tubs are small and one ended up not heating by the second night and the other didn't have the jets working right. The pool was clean and nice and the Tiki bar was cool. the prices there were what you expect for Daytona Beach. The public bathroom was on the second floor which wasn't helpful when you have a small child. Over all we would stay there again."

"Well, we came in off season, price was great . Lobby and restaurant very nice but rooms are so outdated. Please get rid of dirty ugly bedspreads.... The 2 beds were very small doubles and the balcony is scary.........The neighbors could have just climbed over and come into our room if door wasn't locked when we went inside.........Not comfortable.....If they could just update rooms and block off neighboring balconies it would be great..."

"If you enjoy the beach, this hotel is not bad. Very old and shows it. Stains on carpet and rust in bathroom. Sheets and bedding extremely clean. Balcony is nice with two plastic chairs to sit and enjoy the ocean. We had a drink voucher but they closed the Tiki Bar and didn't open it the next day, so that was a bust. Gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and polite. Coffee maker didn't work and neither did blow drier. Pool was pleasant and clean and lots of pool chairs. Located in a great area with grocery stores and shops across the street. Would stay again if the price was below $50. Great for the beach location and ocean front room and if you want to spend the majority of your time on the beach."

"Upon reading the reviews, I was hesitant to book this mystery resort. We were only staying at the beach for 1 day before heading to our resort near Orlando. The biggest disappointment was that the reviews stated the pools and jacuzzi were being renovated and would not be available for guests. Before booking I called a representative to confirm if this was true. It was confirmed by the property that the amenities were unavailable. We decided to book any way because other than that it was beach front and had everything else we wanted including an unbelievable price totaling under $60. After booking the mystery hotel I was surprised to see the name. It was a place I was considering getting a room at before running across this deal. The down side to check in was we couldn't check in early because there were no available rooms. The good side is that once we were able to the staff were friendly and the process was quick and easy. Much to my surprise our room had a kitchen and eating area. We had a wonderful view of the city and a partial view of the ocean. The room was clean and the water was hot. The pool that was reported to be closed was actually open and my kids were able to enjoy. Our 1 day beach trip turned into 2 because I booked the room again for another night. It is not walking distance to the pier area though so, if you're looking to be closer to that and boardwalk area I would advise you to book somewhere else. I was very pleased with my decision and will book a mystery resort again on my next vacation"

"Let me start off by saying that the staff including mgmt did what they could It is a older hotel and from what I was told was just purchased in March. Our stay experience was poor because of the people they let stay at the hotel We had to call the front desk and security 7 times due to noise and fights. I was told by the Front Office Manager as well as the waitress in the resturant that they did have arrests at the hotel during our stay for drugs and a stolen car. We had people knocking on our door at night looking for other people and also fights outside our window that included cussing and screaming and yelling. I did get a free nite from the manager and as I said they did not what could. The problem was that instead of acting they waited and reacted .I hope that once hte updated are complete that it will improve"

"for the price to have an oceanfront room, it was fair enough. the hot tubs were closed, never found an indoor pool, staff was helpful most of the time. parking is a pure disgrace at night, good luck finding a spot. only one elevator working from beach to room, always crowded and slow. room was not cleaned well, and things were not supplied for the kitchenette, had to ask for everything. washer and dryer cost $2.25 a piece (little pricey) go across the street (cheaper)..all and all i paid for beachfront on a budget and that is what i got. so, on a budget and going for the beach i may stay here again other than that, i will stay somewhere else. not the worst not the best.. not sure if i would return.."

" When we arrived we were amidst other guests who were complaining about rooms that were unclean and already occupied when they entered the room. We were told there were no other options to the room we booked and that the hotel was booked to capacity. However, I observed people walk in and book rooms that had not been reserved. There are two elevators and only one worked the whole weekend which made leaving and coming back to the room a real 'chore' and I dont want to even mention the horrible times during check in/out. The internet wasnt working, the indoor pool and hot tub advertised on their site are not working and are not going to be repaired according to the front desk clerk. Our room wasnt cleaned on the second day we were there, and we waited all day to just receive clean towels. On a positive note it seems that within the last month they have added additional security staff who are checking the grounds day and night.
This hotel is deteriorating to the point that the hassle of getting to the comedy club and lounge just isnt worth the time it takes. You cant enjoy your stay. Please make some changes and make this place the enjoyable and relaxing hotel it once was. Otherwise, we wont be back!"

"This hotel is older, and it is not fancy by any stretch, but it was clean and very comfortable. We scored a great deal on the room rate, and we also were surprised to find that our room included a complete kitchen - table, chairs, stove, oven, fridge, etc. - which was a great bonus. (Not sure if all the rooms come with that, but it was a nice treat.) The pool was very nice, and there was a tiki bar that had a DJ playing music each afternoon and evening (which you could hear from the stretch of beach in front of the hotel also), so that added to the fun. Our stay was really great overall.
The staff were great - friendly and very helpful. When we arrived (late evening), the A/C in the room was not working properly. I went to the front desk the next morning and mentioned it. They were on the walkie-talkies to the maintenace staff before I was out of earshot, and when we came up from the beach for lunch, they had completely replaced the unit and the room was cold. But that was par for all of my dealings with the staff - they were very responsive and eager to help, which was huge.
My only complaint - a very minor one - is that we had some trouble with connectivity to the Wi-Fi. It connected, but it was a little spotty, and performance was kind of slow.
Again, it is not a five-star hotel, so you should not go into it with that expectation, but we absolutely had five-star service. Overall, our stay was excellent, I would recommend this hotel enthusiastically, and I would definitely consider it on return trips to Daytona Beach."

"this hotel wasnt too bad for the price,,,,,BUT Beware that when you book the room the website will say continental breakfast but unless you can show the check-in lady on paper that you HAVE the breakfast you wont get it, When we printed out itenarary off online it just had out booking Id address of hotel basics, ALSO......beware of when booking we booked for family of 5, rooms were described as sleeps 5,,,,I would assume that meant a roll-out couch or cot included since----well when you get there you will either pay extra per day because obviously this hotel expects you to sleep 3 to a bed,,,,which is completely ridiculous!!! Yeah good price if its only 2 people maybe but when i planned my family trip of 5, we only accounted for so much money per day when we get down there we automatically learn if our 18 yr old cant sleep with our 15 yr old girl or our 9 yr old in a bed they wouldnt even fit, so extra for cot in room and also extra for breakfast per day that wasnt planned. I wouldve booked elsewhere and payed 20 per day extra had I known. Just wish this website were more truthful."

"We booked our hotel through the 'mystery resort' option. When we arrived we decided we wanted to upgrade to an ocean front room instead of a view. this was easily accomplished by paying an additional fee which was minimal. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accomodating. The restuarant provided a great breakfast at less than we would have paid somewhere else off site. The hotel is located across from a shopping plaza which makes it nice for shopping or to get things left at home. We really enjoyed our stay and will book again through the mystery option."

This time the down fall we had was the inside pool and jacuzzi was closed bc they were fixing the parking area which was right near it.. Other than that our room was clean and the staff was excellent! We come here with our kids and ita great place to stay! We will do it again! we had room 813, large room bath and a full kitchen... !"

"As we only live half an hour away Daytona is our favorite quick getaway when we have a three day weekend. We had stayed here a few years ago and found it to be comparable for the price we paid. So when we found this to be the 'mystery resort' we thought we knew what to expect and were okay with the amount we paid. Upon arrival to our room we noticed that the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were in poor condition and had pieces missing and others that were about to break/tear. The balcony had pieces of concrete missing and on the balcony above us you could see the rebar. In order to work the safe we had to push in the door after we entered the code for it to make proper contact to open and close properly. We were also disappointed that both of the hot tubs were closed. I am unsure why, there were no signs just boards covering both of the hot tubs. The elevators were not an option in getting up and down from our room as they were incredibly slow and always over crowded. n I would not recommend this hotel to any of my family or friends."

"Have stayed here twice, the first time was nice.... No trouble or issues, enjoyed our trip. The second visit was a bit disapointing, had trouble at check in....took almost an hour to get checked it. Then our rooms was suppose to have kitchens in them and had to argue with desk clerk for another hour just to get what we paid for.( This was a huge problem considering we had drove over 9 hrs. and just wanted to rest up a bit.) After the first day our vacation did get better... Will stay here again and hope we dont run into anymore issues!"

"WHERE TO BEGIN, 1st of all Beware parking is $5 tax per night and Breakfast is not included. I chose this location further out where I wanted to stay because of the amenities so sad I couldn't use any. They have 2 large size pools a kiddie pool and 3 Jacuzzi's. what a shame we couldn't use them for starters the 2 Jacuzzi's out side had plywood on top covering them (not in use) that whole section was closed off so there was no where you can was your feet coming from the beach. The outdoor large pool & most importantly the kiddie pool were freezing cold unbearable. We were looking fwd to the indoor pool since it was going to be a cold and rainy weekend so we figured this hotel would be amazing cause the pool will be heated and indoors WRONG when we got there I was greeted w/a sign stating that as of March 1st they turn the water heater off due to SEASON which made no sense to provide a pool for guest that you can't even dip your feet into. The lady that checked me in was very rude to me since the moment she asked what was the name on the reservation the other younger girl Judy was very nice and pleasant. The room was what I expected only down fall is that the sliding door was broken so I couldn't go out to the balcony and the refrigerator didn't cool only the freezer which was bad for us since we had a child and needed to keep the milk cold. On a positive note: pool deck had great music all day and they are open to late so if you wanted to Dance a little you can and i also saw a comedy club as part of the hotel"

"Great experience this was an older building that was due for a remodel carpets and furniture where older. however i didn't go to daytona to sit in the room and watch tv. the staff was very helpful. the pool and surounding area was cleaned daily pool chairs and decks hosed down. close to all amenities a publixs for groceries across the street. kitchenette had fridge stove and microwave. all in good working order. The prices for drinks at the tiki bar where a little hi but i noticed they where high at most places on the strip. DID NOT see one roach or palmetto bug. I consider this a good bang for your buck. However if your looking for the big chain quality you might be a little bit disapointed. I would consider this for a repeat trip."

"The 2.5 star rating for this hotel seems appropriate. It is an older hotel, and the age shows. But our room was clean, and the hotel amenities were good. There was a shopping center directly across the street from the hotel. Our oceanview room had a shallow balcony that faced a hotel adjacent to it. To see a portion of the beach, one had to get out onto the balcony and look hard right. Check-in was extremely slow, as at the time of our check-in there was only one person handling guest check-in, current guest requests, and all phone calls. He gave priority to incoming phone calls. I later leaned that the second person working the desk had been called away on a police matter (fight) on one of the hotel floors. The desk person was courteous, and apologized for the wait. Our 2-night stay was uneventful (no other known fights). I would stay there again if the price was similar to what I paid for this mystery hotel."

"we have stayed here in Daytona many times, and enjoy it, however a couple of things bothered us this year..April 2012....the indoor pool was NOT HEATED...and last April it was....this is important since the outdoor pool is freezing.....and I have arthritis.....my daughter burned her legs in the hot tub also....trying to get warm on one of the hot jets.....soooo hot......and she was only in seconds.....we will be back...your prices are good and we love the kitchen unit we had on the 7th floor, however want to let you know our concerns...Please dont turn off the heat in your indoor pool for April We will be asking that question before we book for next April"

"We had a wonderful time in Daytona. I took my husband to 'get away 'for the nght and celebrate his birthday early. It was great. The room I originally booked, a mystery room, was a smoking room but they were happy to get me another room and upgraded us to an oceanfront room. It was incredible. The hotel is older but clean and very comfortable.The staff was friedly and helpful. There was a dream cruise convention with loud cars but they stopped making noise at a decent hour and it was great. Would stay there again."

"I found the resort to be excellent!! I've stayed many places, and for me, this was perfect. I stayed in Room 929, which was a double room efficiency. I will admit I was a bit skeptical after reaing the other reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff at the front desk were wonderful. They were very pleasant and accomodating. I have already bragged about this place to friends and family and I will return."

"At the last minute, we decided to head to Daytona for Biketoberfest. Of course, most hotels were already booked and the ones that had vacancies were charging $149 per night. We decided to try the mystery hotel with Bookit, something we'd never done before. Okay, it wasn't a four-star hotel, but it is on the beach. We had a small balcony, there are two pools and a tiki bar, the rooms were clean, and we had a fridge and microwave. GREAT experience. We'll do it again."
