Great place to stay. Beds are really comfortable, has two bedrooms, kitchen, living room with sleeper sofa, staff was very friendly and helpful. Common areas were well maintained, great swimming pool, they have bbq grills for guest use, washers and dryers as well! Close to beach, close to allot of restaurants and shops, highly recommended!!

The hotel is an older property but clean and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful. Having grills throughout garden area is a plus. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is tight at night. The walk to ocean is a little far due to layout of property but goes through gardens so enjoyable walk. Beds were very comfortable.

We were on a holiday to Orlando to visit the Disney Parks, so we decided to take a trip to the coast for a little break. We chose Wakulla Suites because of its proximity to the beach and the cost. We were very happy there. The main building is not on the beach but just a few minutes walk away, they also have another block which is beach side. Our accommodation was in the main block area. Our suite consisted of two bedrooms, a lounge, bathroom, dining area and small kitchen, perfect for us. T... Read more

We stayed in one of the two bedroom suites. They are very spacious for a hotel, with full kitchen, and large fridge. The hotel is older in style, staff were courteous and room was clean. Hotel is walking distance to beach. Beds are firm, but comfortable. We would stay again, it would great for families.

We just arrived back from a 3 night stay at Wakulla Suites. We live only an hour away, but we love beach getaways. We've stayed in several properties in the Cocoa area, and this was by far the best. Our party had 15 people total, and 3 units was all we needed. Each unit sleeps 5, has a spacious living area, and a full kitchen with a full-sized fridge and all the dishes, pots, etc. that you need for staying in for meals. My family stayed in one of the rooms facing the pool on the ground level, m... Read more

We have going to Wakulla Suites for 4 generations of our family. The units are spacious with 2 good sized bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a spacious, L shaped living room with a dining room and a small kitchen. The suites have changed over the years with new furniture and paint. The landscaping has changed immensely since the first years and now boast a gorgeous garden between the buildings. The childs pool is a good size and the adult pool is a very good size. There are BBQ .s on the grounds with some... Read more

Check-in was friendly and quick. Room was dated but clean and comfortable. Two bedrooms, living room with sleeper sofa, two baths, and a full kitchen. Great rate for a large suite and family. Nice pool and pool area. Family friendly resort with outdoor grills and seating in pool courtyard. Short walk to beach.

We stayed for 5 nights in early June. We had a 2 bedroom apartment in the annex which is across the street from the main building right next to the beach. The location was perfect but the apartment is in desperate need of renovations and updating. Everything was just a little dirty and tired. The grounds are a little overgrown and in need of care as well. Having said that the staff were all helpful and excellent to deal with and the pool area was terrific.

Found a great online deal for this resort. After staying in a standard motel room with two beds for the first half of our trip, this was exactly what we needed. Our suite was at the pool area. There is an adult pool and kiddie pool. In the court yard, there is a wonderful variety of trees and plants with seating, gas grills for your use, and shuffleboard. Our room was tile floor except for the two bedrooms. The master had a king bed, walk in closet, and dresser. The second bedroom had two tw... Read more

The price for a 2 bedroom suite a stone throw from the beach is the catch. Pool was nice. Walking distance to most anything you want or need. The rooms and hotel has been purchased by a large company. I hope they re do the condition of the rooms. Holes in ceilings and a few bugs to deal with.

This establishment looks nothing like the website! Peeling paint, cracked tiles, overall smell of cigarette smoke. Although advertised as a non-smoking hotel, most guests smoke - by the pool, outside their rooms...everywhere! Weak wifi. Cabinet doors falling off their hinges. Very disappointed! Will never return!

We recently stopped for an overnight stay at the Wakulla on our way to Key West. We arrived at 8am and much to our surprise, we were able to check in early. The Wakulla isn't fancy, but the staff is wonderful and you can't beat the pool. The beach is right there too. Our suite was huge and met all of our family of five's needs. Again, it wasn't fancy and could use a little updating - but it was clean. We would definitely stay again.

Paper thin walls (can hear normal conversations clearly through ceiling, so imagine the drunks and parties). Cheap furnishings (beds so noisy, you wake up with any motion). Poor maintenance (Separated drain fixture in tub, perfect for black mold). Management fails to enforce both hotel rules and city ordinances (i.e., excessive noise between 11pm and 6am {Ref. Sec. 15-22.(d) - Noisesâ??Purposes of restrictions}). This place may have been purchased by Westgate (a timeshare company), but there hav... Read more

I've been going there for 40+ years. Now there is no way to afford the price. It's so sad. I haven't seen any specials. We've had many birthday parties for family and friends there, So sad! Bye, bye, Wakulla!

My family and I have been staying at The Wakulla for years. It was a special place we went to for my brother's birthday parties growing up through the years. All of the suites are furnished with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and a bathroom. They are comfortable and clean. The pool is nice with tropical landscape. Just a short walk down to the ocean or if you stay in one of the ocean side rooms the ocean is just a few steps away. We will continue to stay at The Wakulla for years to come.

Well it is so sad to say that after going to Wakulla for over 20 years our trip in October will be our last. The new owners, Westgate Resorts, have jacked up the prices already and the only way to make a reservation is thru their out-of-country customer service. We are from Orlando and the Walkulla owners had always been pleasant and made us feel like family, now it is the typical comglomerate non-caring responses. The front desk cannot tell you anything, dont bother to call them. I am sure we w... Read more

We recently went to Wakulla Suites for a family reunion. The place was packed as it was a holiday weekend. When we made our original reservations, it was still family owned. West Gate has it now. (The man at the front desk said that in the next 2 years the rooms were going to become time shares). The rooms were nice, and not far from the ocean . There is Alvin;s Island across the street for souvenirs. The property was nice, and we loved our room. The kitchen was small, and the dining area was a... Read more

My family and I booked a week long stay at this hotel through a vacation club. When we arrived, the room was over 80 degrees. We called the front desk and that was fixed fairly quickly and was cooling well by the next day. During the night, I discovered we were sharing a room with cockroaches! All sizes!! The next afternoon, I called the front desk to let them know about the bugs and also that the hot water has stopped during my shower. Maintenance came up quickly. He said no problem: it... Read more

Please do not believe the pictures you see. We walked in the lobby and it smelled of cigars and old after shave. We had to wait for the room and while we were waiting, we walked the premises. People smoking everywhere, 4 cement picnic tables but only 1 umbrella, grills were dirty and disgusting. The entire place is run down. We went back and asked for a refund. The manager on duty granted the refund and told us that the place was just bought by new owners. She told us to come back in a year, and... Read more

Fantastic! Of course I start with the beds: can you sleep here? We had a suite with two rooms: Master bedroom: kingsize bed: ~1.95(lenght)mx1.95m (width) Kids bedroom: 2 single beds: ~1.90mx1m and 1.90x1.2m So this is perpect for 4 people or a family of 5 with still very small kids. The beds are of good quality (though the boxsprings are sqeaky and noisy which makes me wonder: why are such beds still sold, there are much better alternatives on the market) The airco is good and not too noisy a... We walked into the lobby and were knocked back by the smell, very musty/moldy smelling. I asked the clerk how the rooms were and she replied, well, they're kind of dated and we've been bought out and they plan on remodeling/updating the rooms. THEY'VE WAITED TOO LONG TO REMODEL! we walked into the room and walked right back out and got another room down the street
