40th anniversary trip and fourth time here. Had to request breakfadt upgrade as we always received it before. Doesnt really deserve to charge a resort fee there are no resorts just two pools two bars and one redtaurant. That does not make it a resort!

I took a weekend getaway to Tampa with some friends and was told to go to Clearwater beach. It was totally worth it! The prices weren't too bad and the staff with Boucher Brothers was fantastic, especially our attendant Kevin. The day was instantly better with the tiki cart serving us right at our seats as well. All in all it was a great time. Will definitely be back again!

We decided to check out this hotel for future holidays on our way to Anna Maria Island as we like the area around Clearwater and liked the look of the hotel, so book one night through TripAdvisor. When we arrived reception informed us that as I have a Hilton Honours card we had been upgraded to a better room on the ninth floor. The room overlooked the gulf beach, the hotels' lower roofs and the car park (see photos) and was in need of a little TLC, but was clean and comfortable and had a narrow... Read more

Coming from Europe, we expected somewhat better value for money. We were 2 parents + 2 kids (8+11). Main merit, is the central location to the beach. Otherwise nothing much to do in Clearwater. Almost non-existent decent dining within walking distance.

Customer service was okay, except she wrote down the wrong room number so we had to go back down to the desk to get our real room number. Rooms were dated except the bathroom. Pillows were very uncomfortable and room was pretty dirty. You expect a very nice and clean room for $400. Amenities were good, close to beach and shopping. I stay at Hiltons in many different cities around the Florida state and this one was by far the worst. Will not be coming back. Found a cheaper and way nicer hotel dow... Read more

The Hilton at Clearwater beach was beautiful. The location is prime, directly on the clean and safe beach and you are able to walk to restaurants, tourist shops and drugstores. The staff was fantastic, the room was clean and very open, the beach was not over crowded and the beach staff was great, and the overall stay was easy and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a laid back vacation. This is a clean, quiet and beautiful beach that is perfect for a relaxing getaway!

Great spot for a weekend in the sun! While the rooms are a little small for this caliber hotel the location and amenities more than make up for it. Great beach service with a rolling Tiki Bar. Two Pools plus a Hot Tub and full food and beverage service. I recommend the Gulf View rooms on the South side

You can't beat the location of this hotel but you will pay dearly for that luxury, sometimes to the detriment of your experience. First the positives. This is, in my opinion, the prime location for a Clearwater Beach vacation. You are central to everything. In addition to being on the beach, you are an easy walk to all levels of restaurants, bars, the docks where the charter boats leave on fishing excursions, Pier 60, even two pharmacies. Secondly, we found the entire staff was very friend... Read more

I had hoped when new owners bought the hotel a year or two ago that they would update the hotel but sadly that has not happened. Their selling point is they are right next to the Pier and right on the beach so I guess they see no reason to update the place. Also takes housekeeping forever to get the rooms cleaned. Found I could return at 3:00 p.m. and still have not had them show up. An enjoyable place to stay because of the location but now overpriced for what you are getting. Shepard's dow... Read more

We have stayed at the Hilton on Clearwater Beach many times. This is the first time that i have noticed such a drop in overall condition of hotel especially the rooms. The bathrooms need new plumbing - our sink, toilet and tub were all slow to drain. Our sink clogged up completely which they did send someone even though it was called in late. We went out to dinner and when we returned the whole bathroom was filthy. The guy did not bother to clean anything. Only when we complained did they send h... Read more

Overall, we had a positive experience at the Hilton Clearwater hotel, but, I recomend you read reviews before going to know of possible issues or concerns during your stay. The hotel location is excellent as it provides direct, easy access to the beach. Everyone at the hotel were friendly. Towels were available that could be used for the beach or the pool. This hotel has the best beach area, it is right next to pier 60, so much to do at night, but the pool was not as good as some other hotels. But they make up for that with the bar that is on the sand, and the awesome service. Parking is $20 bucks a night and they also charge a $20 resort fee, I'm guessing so they can wash your towels which most likely takes them 300 staff members from what I saw. So I guess I was ok with that fee.

This is a very average Hilton but with a great beachside location. We spent five nights here. The hotel lacks a decent lobby with bar instead there is a hotel restaurant a Starbucks and the check in areas. The pool areas are quite small with two pools, uncomfortable sunbeds and a distinct lack of covered space. I counted 10 umbrellas only per pool. We are diamond hilton members and usually love Hilton's but this one is definitely subpar. The room is small, as is the bathroom. The balcony is tiny. Our safe was not functioning so we had to report that. Really just an average hotel. We will not stay here again in Clearwater.

Hotel was right on the beach! Our partial beach view had great view of beach and marina! Staff was attentive and rooms were clean and comfortable. With a resort charge of $20 a day we were expecting more of a resort experience. Beach chairs and umbrellas were not provided by the hotel but from outside provider. While prices were reasonable they did not offer beach views unless you purchased cabana and chair package at $100.

This is my family's 8 year of staying at the Clearwater Beach Hilton Resort. There have been ups and downs, with more ups than downs, but the one thing the Hilton has that no place else has, is their location. They are within walking distance of most of the excellent resturaunts Clearwater Beach has to offer. The pool is perfectly located just off the sugary white sands of Clearwater Beach. You can't get lunch and drinks at the pool or at the Tiki Bar right on the beach. The pool area staff a... Read more

This hotel gets 5 stars for the location. And 1 star for the room. Know before you go, and everything will be fine. Location, Location, Location! We got up early and rented lounge chairs for the beach....and we were so glad that we did! We did not pack floats or noodles, and really wish we would have. We bought noodles for $6 each, which we were glad to have in the water. If you are really adventurous, you can pack your own beach chairs and plop down between where the shore ends and the Hilton... Two seperate rooms with interconnecting door requested (two adults travelling with two early teens). Reconfirmed room requirements from US by text & yet still not available on arrival. Spent first night in a poor room & then moved the next day, although this took until 4pm & a deal of 'pushing' to get done. Shame as I like the hotel which is in a really nice position with great, friendly staff. They appear to throw money at problems - we were given a total of $175 for the various inconvenience.

Although the Hilton is right on the beach, so has a fantastic location, we felt that the Hotel it's self needs some decorating and tidying up. It has a great Tiki bar on the beach. There also seemed to be a strange smell in the hotel...it smelt like petrol fumes! Air con was very noisy and not very efficient in our room too. If we went back to Clearwater we wouldn't stay here again as there were much nicer hotels along the beach.

Fast three-day trip to the beach with the kids. Very nice hotel. The lobby has been updated and is modern and clean. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the room we were given. We stayed on the 8th floor and the entire length of the hallway smelled like a dirty wet rag. So much so that we just avoided it altogether and took the back elevators. A pet peeve of mine, not just with this hotel, is paying for parking (self-parking for $20. - believe it's $19.99 but who's counting). I've always said just add it to the price. the perfect location, but not the perfect hotel. Definitely does not 'feel' anything like a Hilton. As a Gold HH member it fell well short of expectations. On plus point it has a very relaxed beach vibe and you can switch off very quickly. Cons: - Parking is extremely challenging on the weekend, they have valet though so on top of the $18 parking fee a day, you will need to tip the valet driver. - I had previously used toiletries in my bathroom, you heard correct, almost empty shampoos/conditioners, a used bar of soap put back in the box. ... Cons- lobby area always smells like natural gas, rooms need to be updated, as do the hallways, bathroom is very small. We had booked 2 joining rooms, 1 room was ready before check in, the other one was not ready until after check in. Housekeeping come early one day and very late another. Overall a good trip, but updates are certainly needed.
