My husband and I have visited this hotel several times. From the time you walk in the door, you immediately feel like you are on vacation. The view is amazing, the front desk staff is wonderful, and the lobby seating area is beautiful. The rooms are nice, but the best part of the hotel is the amazing beach and pool area. White sand and beautiful blue water and not close to the busy public beach so not crowded at all. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located to restaurants and shops an... Read more

Stayed at the Sandpearl from 5/16-5/20. The hotel is beautiful with a beautiful beach. Accommodations were perfect with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in - almost as good as home. Great view of the beach and sunset (when the clouds cooperated). Staff was very friendly and helpful - especially Steve and Andrew with the beach umbrellas. Beach was one of the best I've been to. A couple of minor quibbles: 1. Requested early arrival but our room was not ready when we arrived. However, ... Read more

Stayed at the Sandpearl a week ago. This place is excellent especially if you have children. It offers everything you want in vacation. Situated on the beach, near a lot of restaurants within walking distance, rooms were clean and spacious. The views were spectacular. You get what you pay for! Definitely, would go back. My only gripes would be the cost of valet for overnights - $25 is a little steep, but the valet service was good. Also, the beach umbrellas should be included in the daily... Read more

My husband and I have stayed at the sandpearl at least 20+ times. We stayed one night this past weekend as it was the first time we left our 8 month old daughter overnight. So this was a special occasion for us as new parents. I have to say this weekend was by far our worst experience. First and foremost their front desk personnel could use a brush up on their service and overall hotel knowledge. It was the first time we weren't greeted with the sandpearl "experience" no champagne or beverage ... Read more

Returned to The Sandpearl after staying for two weeks last June. The hotel is lovely, nice bars and restaurants. Especially like the chilled out atmosphere on the beach at the sandpit just before sunset. One problem we do have is The Sandpearl charging for umbrellas on the beach, it's not the cheapest of hotels so to charge $25 (this is not included in the $29 hotel tax) for a beach umbrella is disgraceful, please scrap this charge!! We requested Early Check In which was not much earlier than standard but we were able to have them hold our bags, head down to the pool, and start our vacation immediately. Fantastic hotel, great pool, great service, good location the food and drink was a little pricey but overall great experience. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant with great gulf views and staff were really pleasant. We had a side gulf view room would have been better if we had a room facing the swimming pool instead of the car park.

It all started with the most magical sunset during conference three years ago. After one night at the Sandpearl, my faith was restored in Florida beaches and I was determined to return. The resort is elegant without being stuffy. Last year my husband and I flew in for a long weekend of doing nothing but reading, exercising, ordering room service, and taking long walks on the beach. This hotel is On the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Staff were great. Lovely glass of fizz on check-in. The room although didn't have a direct sea view, was airy and spotlessly clean. The only thing stopping giving this full marks was the restaurant. We had breakfast two mornings. Not being a fan of the Buffett we had a la carte. This hotel overlooks a beautiful area of Clearwater Beach. We were comfortable there, but I felt the price was too high for what this hotel had to offer. Check in was a complete madhouse. I had to wait about 30 minutes to get checked in. Another thing that I felt was sub-par are the beach umbrellas and chairs. You have to pay for these and they are about 30 feet from the beach. We have wanted to visit the Sandpearl since it opened and finally had the opportunity over the Fourth of July weekend. It was well worth the wait! The hotel is quite expensive but it is worth the price, especially if you have a Gulf-front room. I'm leaving a detailed review, as I always appreciate others' details. For those who want short and sweet, know that all the rooms face the pool except for the most expensive suites (even if you're "gulf front"), and you can not hear the waves from the hotel. Resort food is not good for vegetarians. Now into the long of it: The room: We specifically requested a high floor before getting there, and booked the gulf front view. Our original room was on the lowest floor possible, on the corner, an... Read more

The SandPearl is a pretty resort. There are a few things that bothered me while we were there. The smell at the pool beside the pool restaurant (is really bad)!!!! I tried to avoid it but I smelled it every time we had to use the restroom at the pool. I have no idea how people sit in the chairs right there. I'm surprised they don't do something about this (I mentioned it to a friend who has been several times and she has noticed it too) so it wasn't a random thing. The restroom at the pool i... This is a nice hotel but I do have a few issues. We originally had a harbour view without a balcony, so we upgraded before our departure to have a balcony with a coastal view. We were not informed that our room would be directly above the kitchen fans with views of the ocean plus garbage! The noise was incredible and the smell was not nice at all. We had to pay extra again to move to the other side of the corridor with a view of the pool. Many other guests were also trying to move away from ... Read more

We arrived on a Saturday to celebrate our son in law's birthday. His family and ours had a wonderful time. At check in, we were greeted with a choice of a Mimosa or Champagne. Never encountered that before! Since our rooms weren't ready, we changed into swimsuits and enjoyed the beautiful white sand beach and lovely pool. Our grandkids had a blast in the easy entry pool, and so did we. There was a balloon man making hats in all kinds of shapes for the kids, a lady dressed as a mermaid who... Read more

My husband and I spent a long weekend here and had an amazing time. The resort itself was wonderful and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. We were greeted and offered mimosas before going to our room. Our room was great-everything you could want. The pool and beach were fantastic. Although we didn't have children, there were many activities for children. We got there and never had to get in our car until we checked out. This is one place I would highly recommend.

Beautiful resort bang in the middle of Clearwater beach. Modern and clean, superb staff and resort. It's not the cheapest in Clearwater but not over expensive however you do pay for what you get. I would definitely recommend this place to others after orlando craziness and wish we had come before after a previous orlando visit!!!!

We have been staying at Sandpearl and whilst the hotel lobby etx is lovely there are certainly a few things not going for it. There is a horrible smell still by the resultant and I mean HORRIBLE clear the bins every 15 mins and bleach the area it's horrible and put us off eating in the bar area If I am paying over $600 a night I don't expect to pay $23 extra for turndown service especially when they don't put the kids bed down and back up daily As above how can you also charge for umbrellas... We stayed in the hotel for 12 nights in July. We had a room on the 6th floor with a side balcony with sea view and also partial harbour/Mandalay Ave view. The room was large, modern, well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The hotel pool was busy but well organised and the staff pleasant and security aware. My only complaint would be that the pool staff allowed large inflatable beds etc to be used, this did reduce enjoyment of the facility, however this is only a minor point. You pay for ca... Read more

We've just concluded a weeks family (two adults and two boys of 16 & 13) holiday here. We travelled from UK and booked via Virgin. Hotel is certainly impressive and first appearances were good. Great lobby and welcome was good. Our room wasn't ready as we were early but it was soon turned around. The room was good - two queen sized beds and comfortable. I stayed at the Sandpearl for a conference held on the premises. While the hotel was certainly nice with a prime location on beautiful Clearwater Beach, I did not feel it was as luxurious as others describe it. The furnishings seemed kitschy to me and the room was very standard. I found my dealings with the staff to be mixed -- some were very helpful and friendly and others seemed like they were being bothered. Spent 2 nights with my teenage boys after a few days at Universal Studios. Location was excellent, beds very comfortable, and even though it's a huge resort we were able to wind down from our hectic trip to the parks. Had a beautiful gulf view, but we couldn't see the sunset from our room due to the side building blocking our view. Since we only stayed for 2 nights the price was manageable, but I couldn't imagine staying for a week or more due to the expensive price, but if you're going for a... Read more

I give the Sandpearl high marks for its beach location and the level of comfort. The room was nicely appointed, clean, and functioned well. However, the Sandpearl earned mediocre marks on food/beverage and value. We ate at Carettaā??s a couple times, and the food preparation wasn't on par with other AAA Four-Diamond restaurants I've eaten at. The menu feels uninspired. My wife and I recently visited the Sandpearl for a business meeting earlier this summer. The location was ideal. The beach was pure "sugar sand," perhaps 50 yards wide and several miles long. Perfect for a morning or sunset walk. Not overly touristy. Plenty of amenities. Great beach or poolside dining. Fabulous sunsets. We'd definitely go back next time we're in the area.

Hotel over all is nice but there are a lot of hidden costs added to your bill that might not be so comparable to other resorts...like you will see 54$ of parking and amenity fees off the bat???? Do just add that to your bill. Not to mention their billing is all jacked up. Kind of a headache. Resort is nice but they charge you for just about everything they can...like a chair or umbrella!?!
