We come to Clearwater yearly (sometimes more) and always stay at the Holiday Inn. This unfortunately will be our last. Housekeeping does a fabulous job of keeping the rooms and building clean. However, this hotel is so old, dark and dated. You must now park your car valet. Which is such an inconvenience when you want to run a quick trip. Construction is everywhere. Which really isn't Holiday Inn's problem, but it becomes their guests problem. Hey staff members.....if you know you have gues... Read more

This used to be a great value in Clearwater. It does not have beach acess which made it afforable but still gave you a great location. The rooms are showing their age. The hotel pool area is running down as well and you have to valet your car now. There is a construction boom here and I can see this place slipping even more with more newer properties near by.

Centrally located in Clearwater Beach, this hotel provides beautiful views of the gulf and a great pool and restaurant downstairs. The food was great at the restaurant, and they have a little "party" with music every evening at sunset. We had an Oceanside room with a balcony so that was a huge plus. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because my boyfriend had to leave very early one morning so we decided to order breakfast through room service. There was a form on the desk for breakfast orders and ... Read more

Hotel is located about 500 feet from actual beach on causeway leading out to the ocean. No big deal as there awesome pool area is great place to sit &'watch the boats going in & out to the Gulf. Rooms are of good size & we had a great King room facing the water with nice patio. Two on-site places to eat with Jimmy's Fishouse great. Love the Buffalo Flatbread pizza & live music. Staff friendly & cold enjoyed flavored water in lobby. This was our second visit.

This hotel is well located, walking distance to beach and restaurants. Good restaurant on premises with live band on selected nights. Good size pool with bar and nice views, Cafe on premises for guest convinience and for a quick cup of coffee at any time. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. This hotel is in need of a face lift and the construction next door was a nuisance. Parking valet was for Hotel and restaurant guest and made it hard to walk around the front of the hotel, wall to wall ... Read more

Somewhat older hotel that has been renovated. Great restaurant on the water that celebrates sunset every evening with live music and a free rum punch shot. Rooms were clean and very quiet. No direct beach access as its on the inlet but a public beach is a 4 minute walk.

Very comfortable. In the heart of the city . Walking distance to beach. Beautiful sunsets. Nice to have the restaurant right out our door. Food was good. We were on the ground level and had a door that led out onto the pool patio. I was a little worried about noise from kids in the pool but 11 pm was pool closing time and we didn't hear anything after that time.

We stayed for 3 nights in Clearwater after a trip to Walt Disney World, it was a very relaxing hotel with a pretty ocean side view! The rooms were well kept and clean. We stayed in a suite and the two beds in the main room were comfortable with lots of pillows; the pull out sofa in tne adjoining room was very uncomfortable and matteress was thin but I guess that is expected with a pull out bed. It was two adjoining rooms with 2 bathrooms so it was a better option to accommodate five people. The ... Read more

This was out first visit here. Very good location. 10 minutes away from the beach. It is not very modern but very clean and comfortable. Hotel's restaurant has pretty good food however they should think about changing the crew because some waitresses are not very polite. the restaurant itself is located on the golf's shore which is amazing. Highly recommended.

My friend and I have stayed before and had another great time here. Check in was easy and friendly and allowed an early check in. In one of our rooms the air conditioner wasn't working when we arrived and a very hard working maintenance man had it replaced quickly which we appreciated so much along with his kindness. Each and every person on the housekeeping staff showed courtesy to us by holding elevator doors for us and always asking what they could do for us. Zeni and the front desk people ac... Read more

Have not long returned from a short visit to the Holiday Inn and can say I was very impressed indeed. I had a room on the 7th floor with a partial view of the swimming pool and bay area. The room is spacious with a standard two double beds. A nice touch was the alarm clock which has an ipod dock making listening to music possible, without speakers! Wifi from my room (703) was excellent making a facetime conversation easy and simple without delays. Made use of the pool, with plenty of sunbeds... Read more

We stayed there for six nights in May this year. The Hotel is located on S Gulfview Bvd. about ten minutes walk from the Pier 60 area. Rooms are clean, and tidy. Staff are professional but the ones we dealt with were somewhat 'flat' in their attitude. Parking is valet only at a cost of $12 per day. Our room had a Gulf view.......if you craned your neck round the balcony edge..what we looked out on was the window of the corridor opposite or the air conditioning units...talking of which, our airco... Our room was clean and did not have a smell. We had an executive suite with a beautiful gulf view and a view of the pool. The kitchen area was very clean, but did not have enough of the essentials (ie...only 3 spoons and no sink soap). The pool was lovely and clean. It had a gorgeous view of the gulf and a nice bar. The bar had walkup or waiter service. It was expensive, but understandably so...it's a tourist area. The chairs around the pool were plentiful and well maintained. I would... Read more

Hotel was nice and clean. Could use a little bit of update. Wish it would have had breakfast in the morning. Construction next door but valets were great and car in garage. Pool area very nice with nice views. Has a pool bar as well. Staff was very accommodating and if you needed assistance were more than willing to help.

Hotel was ok. Nice pool facilities. About a 10 minute walk to beach. There are two restaurants on site. We tried to eat at the seafood restaurant and could not get service so we left and ate somewhere else. Our first night there, the valet service damaged our car. Beds were comfortable, and our room (double queen) was a nice size. Getting ice was a bit of a pain; machine was out of order on our floor and the floor above ours.

This year is our 3rd time staying here. The location and views are really amazing. The pool area sits right on the main boat thoroughfare. The views of the boats heading in and out all day is truly unbeatable! However, the hotel hasn't seen much love over the last couple of years. We stayed in a 2 room oceanfront suite. While the room was clean, the walls were dirty, sides of the bathroom vanity were gross, etc. I tried to clean it myself but realized it was mainly dirty looking because o... Read more

We never heard anything from them while in our room. The hotel staff at check-in was excellent. We checked in 3.5 hours early and our room was ready when we got there! Valet parking was nice. I booked this as a backup hotel - it was cheap, on the water, and we could cancel with fairly short notice. I slacked off and did not find us a better place but this did the trick. We had a suite, with balcony with ocean view. The balcony was only good for drying wet goods and airing out shells - it was much too hot at the end of June to do anything out there and the exhaust from the AC units made it unbearable within 5 minutes. The room was clean and we had plenty of everything. You could eas... Read more

Love this hotel! Have been a few times and never disappointed. Lovely rooms, pleasant staff and good food. Love sitting looking over the bay at sunset. Unfortunately a newly built hotel adjacent has taken away the gulf view from a large number of rooms. Now we are unlikely to return as the view from the rooms was a major selling point. Building so close should just not be allowed.

I was VERY hesitant to stay due to earlier reviews. So much that I had another reservation at a different hotel while I decided. I have been here since Tuesday and will check out on Saturday. I am very pleased with the hotel. The noise is not an issue from the construction. My view from my ocean view is perfect. The food and staff at Jimmys have been spot on. I'm writing this review in comparison to my experience with the Holiday Inn in Daytona Beach last year. To begin, I booked a "Gulf View" room, which was $30 / day more than generic rooms with a King-sized bed. Last year, I'd booked an "Ocean View" room in Daytona which provided direct beach access from the pool area, so this was my expectation for the Clearwater hotel as well. In reality, there is no direct beach access and you'll need to walk 5 - 10 minutes to get to the beach. The distinctio... Read more

I'm rating the restaurant and bar, not the hotel rooms. We are locals and find this a nice place to eat. It is located on the water. You might even see the dolphins jumping and you will view a beautiful sunset if you are there at that time. They have nice music, reasonable prices, great food, drinks and atmosphere. Good service as well. We definitely recommend it.

Room and stay was nice overall. Didn't like the valet parking experience. When we arrived, there was a mess of cars in front and we quickly got what we thought we needed from the car. I asked the valet if we would have access to the car, since there were some cars parked in front, and he said yes. Later when we realized we needed something from the car, we went to get it but the car was inaccessible. The valet said he could get the car for us, or the bag we needed if we could describe it an... When you have a group of 5 it is sometimes hard to find hotels that can accommodate your group. This hotel has great suites that make 5 easy and gives you extra room when you want to hang back and relax. The resort is very nice with a large pool. No direct access to the beach, but only a 2 block walk. Sunsets are amazing and watching the activity at the inlet was always fun.

My family stayed here for one night in mid-July 2016 and found it to be wonderful! We were upgraded to a poolside room, which we are normally apprehensive about since it is normally noisy. However, the insulation must be thicker in the windows/doors and walls, because you could barely hear the noise, even on the first floor! We had access directly outside our slider to a beautiful pool and ocean view. To access the beach, you had to exit the hotel and walk around the block. We did not do th... Read more

Although there is no beach access from the hotel it's really not a problem. It's only a 2 minute walk away. Most of the hotels along the beach are across the road, this hotel is on the waters edge and has great views out to sea. Rooms are a little tired but clean and comfortable. All staff have been pleasant and helpful. We've had a nice time at this hotel.
