We come to Clearwater yearly (sometimes more) and always stay at the Holiday Inn. This unfortunately will be our last. Housekeeping does a fabulous job of keeping the rooms and building clean. However, this hotel is so old, dark and dated. You must now park your car valet. Which is such an inconvenience when you want to run a quick trip. Construction is everywhere. Which really isn't Holiday Inn's problem, but it becomes their guests problem. Hey staff members.....if you know you have gues... Read more

This used to be a great value in Clearwater. It does not have beach acess which made it afforable but still gave you a great location. The rooms are showing their age. The hotel pool area is running down as well and you have to valet your car now. There is a construction boom here and I can see this place slipping even more with more newer properties near by.

Centrally located in Clearwater Beach, this hotel provides beautiful views of the gulf and a great pool and restaurant downstairs. The food was great at the restaurant, and they have a little "party" with music every evening at sunset. We had an Oceanside room with a balcony so that was a huge plus. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because my boyfriend had to leave very early one morning so we decided to order breakfast through room service. There was a form on the desk for breakfast orders and ... Read more

Hotel is located about 500 feet from actual beach on causeway leading out to the ocean. No big deal as there awesome pool area is great place to sit &'watch the boats going in & out to the Gulf. Rooms are of good size & we had a great King room facing the water with nice patio. Two on-site places to eat with Jimmy's Fishouse great. Love the Buffalo Flatbread pizza & live music. Staff friendly & cold enjoyed flavored water in lobby. This was our second visit.

Good size pool with bar and nice views, Cafe on premises for guest convinience and for a quick cup of coffee at any time. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Very comfortable. In the heart of the city . Walking distance to beach. Beautiful sunsets. Nice to have the restaurant right out our door. Food was good. We were on the ground level and had a door that led out onto the pool patio. I was a little worried about noise from kids in the pool but 11 pm was pool closing time and we didn't hear anything after that time.

We stayed for 3 nights in Clearwater after a trip to Walt Disney World, it was a very relaxing hotel with a pretty ocean side view! The rooms were well kept and clean. We stayed in a suite and the two beds in the main room were comfortable with lots of pillows; the pull out sofa in tne adjoining room was very uncomfortable and matteress was thin but I guess that is expected with a pull out bed. This was out first visit here. Very good location. 10 minutes away from the beach. It is not very modern but very clean and comfortable. Hotel's restaurant has pretty good food however they should think about changing the crew because some waitresses are not very polite. the restaurant itself is located on the golf's shore which is amazing. Highly recommended.

My friend and I have stayed before and had another great time here. Check in was easy and friendly and allowed an early check in. In one of our rooms the air conditioner wasn't working when we arrived and a very hard working maintenance man had it replaced quickly which we appreciated so much along with his kindness. Have not long returned from a short visit to the Holiday Inn and can say I was very impressed indeed. I had a room on the 7th floor with a partial view of the swimming pool and bay area. The room is spacious with a standard two double beds. A nice touch was the alarm clock which has an ipod dock making listening to music possible, without speakers! Hotel was ok. Nice pool facilities. About a 10 minute walk to beach. There are two restaurants on site. We tried to eat at the seafood restaurant and could not get service so we left and ate somewhere else. Our first night there, the valet service damaged our car. Beds were comfortable, and our room (double queen) was a nice size. Getting ice was a bit of a pain; machine was out of order on our floor and the floor above ours.

This year is our 3rd time staying here. The location and views are really amazing. The pool area sits right on the main boat thoroughfare. The views of the boats heading in and out all day is truly unbeatable! However, the hotel hasn't seen much love over the last couple of years. We stayed in a 2 room oceanfront suite. I booked this as a backup hotel - it was cheap, on the water, and we could cancel with fairly short notice. I slacked off and did not find us a better place but this did the trick. We had a suite, with balcony with ocean view. Love this hotel! Have been a few times and never disappointed. Lovely rooms, pleasant staff and good food. Love sitting looking over the bay at sunset. Unfortunately a newly built hotel adjacent has taken away the gulf view from a large number of rooms. Now we are unlikely to return as the view from the rooms was a major selling point. I'm writing this review in comparison to my experience with the Holiday Inn in Daytona Beach last year. To begin, I booked a "Gulf View" room, which was $30 / day more than generic rooms with a King-sized bed. Last year, I'd booked an "Ocean View" room in Daytona which provided direct beach access from the pool area, so this was my expectation for the Clearwater hotel as well. We checked in but had second thoughts, the hotel was scruffy, dirty and rooms smelt. Building work next door, no safe in rooms. we decided not to stay, in fairness the hotel they wanted us to be happy and refunded our money. We drove to a hotel we stayed before.

Me, My Wife, and 5 year old Son stayed at this hotel in a 2 queen bed room. The hotel and our room smelled good. We didn't have any bed bugs and the room was clean. The location of the hotel was pretty good. U can walk to Pier 60 and Clearwater Beach from the hotel pretty easy. The pool lights up different colors at night and it has a good view of the Sea. The staff were friendly including the valet parkers. The only things I didn't like was the fact that late at night sometimes there is no one ... Read more

Stayed 2 nights in July 2016. The location of this hotel is very good. It's on the waterfront with spectacular views of the sunset and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. On arrival our daughter was given a soft toy which was a nice touch. The suite we choose was large. It was in fact two adjoining rooms with one converted into a studio kitchen, living, dining room. We had two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other shower over bath. A big complaint would have to be the lack of... Read more

We spent two nights Labour day weekend at Holiday Inn and really enjoyed our stay. It was not the biggest or smartest hotel by the shore but our stay in the two-bedroom suite was very comfortable. Barring two minor repair issue, the rooms were spotless, well-planned with comfortable beds and plenty of space to spread out. The location is pretty great. The back of the hotel backs is right by the water with views out to the water. Apparently you could spot dolphins but it was Hurricane Hermine ... Read more

August 18-24. $12 per parking fee. All parking is valet due to hotel construction. Tipping of attendant increases parking fee. Great view of sunset from swimming area. Nice room. Most games in game room inoperative. No beach access from hotel property.

The price is not that good for the type of hotel, i mean not even free breakfast, the parking is not for free and the service is a ghost, the hotel is very clear and the rooms are really nice, the restaurant and the pool area nice, my biggest regret here is the parking, is a vallet parking system, they keep your car key until you stay in the hotel what I find unsafe., and the hall ways are really small, this is a 7 of 10 hotel, so is good.
