"This was our second time staying at mystic dunes. Our room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in a studio. The furnishings need updating. This property has been bought by diamond international. We did a timeshare tour and the updates they have planned looked great. The only thing I didn't like was that there was a small foyer outside our room. One door was to our room , the other door was to another room. On our second night someone occupied the other room. It was noisy and they left the door to the walkway open."

"We had a wonderful time in Florida and at this resort the only negatives would be that the rooms are very dated (but clean) and the beds were very uncomfortable so bad that my wife slept on the coach most of time because her back was bothering her. They did tell us they were in the process of up grading the resort and that in the future all the rooms would be updated. People were friendly the pools were great and the location was super. I hope they upgrade the rooms soon I would like to go back to this resort again."

"I really enjoy it my stay on the resort ,very clean, very nice place, but went I get there they have problem with the system they can located my reservation, I wait more than 1 hr and a half trying to get check in. Very bad I was very tired because the trip and I have to wait for so long they never found the reservation, I have to look into my email and get it for them, was NOT good the reservation number....
Another thing the bed on my room was very small.
Beside of that was good close to Disney, nice place for families.

"We stayed 7 nights. Had 1 bedroom studio and the living area was a little small for 2 adults and 1 teenager...It doesn't look like the picture. Sleeping was fine. There was a queen size bed in the bedroom and the fold out couch (also a queen). Son didn't like the fold out so we pulled the mattress off and just layed it on the floor. He was fine with that. We also didn't have a 'full-size' refrigerator...it was a mini-fridge. It worked OK for us though. Staff was very friendly and immediately took care of a couple of problems we had. Shower hose had a hole in it and it was shooting water all over the place. Also hair dryer kept coming apart. Once called, they immediately came and replaced both. Called the front desk for ice everyday and they would bring us a big bag of it. Also when we needed paper towels and soap, etc. they would send a good supply of whatever we needed. Didn't use the shuttle as we had our car. It was very convenient to get to ESPN Wide World of Sports and back. Husband used the golf course and really enjoyed it and it was reasonably priced.
Outdated a bit, but for the money, it worked for us."

"My family and I stayed July 6-8, 2012. We went to Universal Studios to celebrate my 12 year old birthday. The resort was great for the short period that we stayed there. I am very picky when it comes to choosing somewhere to stay when going out of town. The reviews scared me a little. Granted the decor is a tiny bit dated with that being said that's the only thing I found to be true from the negative reviews. The staff was great! I called for towels and they showed up in a timely manner. The $250 deposit was a bit more than anywhere else I have stayed and we travel ALL the time, unknowingly it was reduced when we checked in! All in all I enjoyed. The grounds are gorgeous! For the people that is looking for the perfect place to stay you may want to look at a nelwly renovated 5 star resort (which still comes with issues) or consider staying home."

"We arrived at Mystic Dunes On June 25 and had arranged for a 2 bedroom villa. It was a real nice end one and a bottom one. Although it was not one that wasn't updated as yet, we thought it was ample enough for us and was close to the pools. At times we could hear a lot of kids running around outside(sometimes after midnight), which I thought was ridiculous. But, all in all, I thought it was close to the parks and restaurants and places where we needed to get to."

"We arrived on Wed., July 3rd and checked into room 10-302. This building was not so clean and had issues with bugs beyond just ants. On July 4th before leaving our room, we noticed ants on the nightstand and in the bathroom, they had someone spray. On Thur., July 5th, we had more ants in the same areas, they sprayed again. On Fri., July 6th, we had ants all in the bedroom, bathroom and all over the kitchen counter. At that point, I asked to be changed to another room. They tried to give us a room on the same floor that had no window in the living area only in the bedroom. I refused to take that room and had to argue with them to be switched to a room of the same grade. Finally after midnight, they put us in a different building in room 25-302 which was an upgrade. This building was clean and bug free. At this point, we only had two nights left and one was pretty much gone since we didn't get into the new room until after midnight and by the time we went to sleep, it was well after 2 a.m.
I had my two granddaughters and they should have been in the bed before midnight. The shuttle was a joke because they only had one picked up time at 7:30 a.m. The rest of the resort was very nice and clean, the pools were wonderful and we really enjoyed the miniture golf. The rooms needed to be upgraded to more modern fixtures especially the TV's, they should have been flat screens.
The worst thing that happened was that my son left his wallet in a night stand which he discovered 2 hrs. down the road. We had to call three times to get someone to look in the room. When they called back two hrs. later, they said they did not find it but they said no one had checked into that room, therefore, the wallet should have still been in the drawer. The staff was not that friendly and now I know they are not that honest. Also, the inconvenience of moving from room to room really messed up our vacation. We were up so late, we missed the bus and had to pay for parking the next day. I am undecided if I would stay there again."

"On the positive side, the resort is well maintained and the staff was quite responsive to our needs. We reserved a 2 bedroom villa and were given a 3 bedroom villa for the same price (a plus). We enjoyed the clean pools and the miniature golf course. The resort is within 1 to 3 miles from Disney World and other attractions.
On the need improvement side, check in was approximately 30 minutes long and our room was not ready for another hour even though we showed up around 5 pm. The rooms were clean but the furniture is long overdue for replacement, especially the living room set and the mattress. The TVs are due for replacement with flat screen TVs as well especially the old projection screen TV in the living room. Most disappointing was Internet service which is only avaliable via one ethernet cable hook up in the kitchen (had to request a cable) for a daily cost of $9.95. This means you can only hook up one computer at time to access the internet. According to the staff, Wi-FI hot spots are only avaiable by the pool area or the main lobby for for the same cost. The main lobby does not have a computer room with printers to print boarding passes like other decent hotels/resorts. One lap top is available upon request at the front desk to print a boarding pass and had to wait in line for nearly 45 minutes late one night for two other guests to print theirs.
We may consider staying at the mystic diunes in future provide the above improvements are made."

"THE LOOKS ARE DECEIVING WITH THIS PROPERTY. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE AND THEN WE GOT TO OUR ROOM AND I WAS SHOCKED. THE FIRST PROBLEM WAS I HAD PURCHASED 2 QUEEN BEDS AND GOT 1 WITH A PULL OUT SOFA THAT EVEN MY KIDS WAS SAYING IT WAS HORRIBLE SLEEPING ON. THERE WAS BUGS IN THE BED ROOM AND I WOULD NOT LET ME KIDS WALK AROUND IN THE ROOM WITHOUT SHOES. OUR ROOM WAS IN THE HALLWAY WITH ANOTHER ROOM WHERE YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING GOING ON OUTSIDE YOUR ROOM. FINALLY I OPENED MY DOOR AND THE PEOPLE APOLOGIZED. THE ROOM WAS VERY OUT DATED. IT WAS SO 1980'S. I HAVE TO SAY IF IT WAS THE LAST PLACE THAT I COULD STAY THEN I WOULD CONSIDER IT BUT OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD NOT GO BACK. I GUESS THIS IS WHAT I GET WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR A BARGAIN. I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR."

"Mystic Dunes was an amazing place to spend our week in Orlando! We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and it was clean and very spacious! The kitchen had everything we needed and having the washer/dryer was a huge plus! Clean bedrooms and bathrooms and the beds were very comfortable!

"We had booked a 2 night stay in a One bedroom for $54 a night thinking it was a descent place to stay since it was a 'resort' and 'golf course' atmosphere. Check in was towards the back of the property and there was not enough staff which made it long to check in. After checking in, you had to go to another desk to hear a speech from a rep about coming back for free breakfast and having them tell you about their resort to purchase like a time share. We declined this after saying we werent interested 3 times. The one bedroom unit had an odd layout with the tub in the bedroom and not in the bathroom. There were two tv's but there were old and small. Half of the channels were just static. There was no free internet and no wi-fi. If you wanted internet access, that was an additional $9.95/per day. We opted to just use our cell phones for internet access. It had a full kitchen which we did not use. There were some ants and a few spiders found inside the unit. There was a sliding glass door at the back, but it opened to a railing that you couldnt go out of, since there was a wooded area behind it. The track of the door obviously hadnt been cleaned in a while since there were cobwebs and dirt all along it. This was also the case for the shower doors. There is also a stackable washer and dryer inside the unit. The overall cleanliness was poor, even though the strong smell of bleach was in the unit when we checked in, so they did attempt to clean. No maid service is done daily, so you have to ration your towels. There were plenty of restaurants close by, so that was a perk. Disney was not too far away either, but I would probably spend more money next time for a closer and better hotel to stay at. Live and learn, and you definitely get what you pay for."

It was nice to have room to relax instead of staying in a normal hotel-type room. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. We were late starting, it was us meeting with individual and agreed up front there would be no pressure to make a purchase. This was the last day of our vacation so we had lots of plans. We were told that it wouldn't take as long because we had already toured resort. After 3 hours I was about to lose it and told them with would give them 10 more minutes. We were not interested in their offer as it was expensive. Then he had other person to join us and meeting dragged on after me telling them about length of time it was taking. Then they offer other option at almost 50% discount rate (Buy back option). We were too frustrated at this point and just wanted out. We said NO and wanted to leave. They agreed to have another person come do survey and get us along our way. The first thing the third person starts talking about is other options!! So much for no pressure to make a purchase. Finally we got out of there but lost about 4 hours of last day in Florida. nnGreat place to stay but when approached about their 'welcome' package, RUN n"

"The staff there is very nice. We decided to go an extra day and my husband called one of the real estate places to see about getting an extra night and they did have an opening but said we would have to change to our 2 bedroom condo for the rest of the week. We took that, but once we got to Mystic Dunes for check in the clerk said there was no reason for us to have to do that. She put us in the same condo that we could have all week. All the staff was really nice. Only thing is the putt putt closes at 8:00pm which I hated b/c by the tme we would get in for the eveing it would be closed. Very close to the Disney Parks!! Condo was clean, but on our last night there we did kill a huge coch roach in the master bath. That was the only bug we saw the whole week we were there."

"On our way to the room a large rat ran across our path followed by some roaches, when we awoke in the morning my daughter in laws make up bag was coated with bugs to the point we just tossed it and put all her stuff in a plastic bag for the rest of the trip. "We were allowed to check in early, as we were from out of town. They upgraded our room for our anniversary. We stayed 4days 3nights. Room service was efficient. Driving range and clubhouse was exquisite and professional. Front desk was courteous. It is a gated community so you are a bit more protected than a regular hotel. Great prices to boot. "The first night we arrived it was late and the room was small and it was suppose to have a king size bed but they put us in a queen size. Well the next night I wanted to use the tub but there were things coming out of the jets so my husband called the front desk told them what the problem was and the next day they not only put us in a different room but they upgraded us at no extra charge. So since they took the time to fix our problem we would stay again."

"Used GPS on phone which took us to wrong side of property. Tried calling and was put on hold. The property looked awesome. The security gaurd at the gate spoke very little english, which made finding check-in difficult. Free popcorn at reception desk. The pool was incredible, had a water slide, bartender and nice clean bathrooms by the pool. The room was small, but met our needs. The shower in the spa tub was hard to use, it only reached up to my waist, so rinsing my hair was difficult. The safe directions were unclear. The room was 91 degrees when we entered, but was efficent. Bed was small, think the pull out was bigger. i would return, but would upgrade room size. "

"1st after 8hours driving, we must stay outside for cleaning of the room, which was not later clean.
2nd the pool was closed by 10pm.
3rd wireless was not there for us as promised in internet
4th the staffs were not the best, I thought the staffs are there to help customers.
5th my car was full written with lipstick from some one I do not know."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our two day and two night stay at Mystic Dunes. The spacious two bedroom, two bathroom suite was very comfortable and clean. Our purpose in staying there was to take the kids to Disney World, which was just a few minutes' drive from Mystic Dunes. Mystic Dunes offered a shuttle to Disney which did not have optimal departure times, so we just drove to Disney. We will definitely plan to stay at Mystic Dunes at our next opportunity."

"I had a wonderful stay at Mystic Dunes. The resort was fabulous and my room was very clean. The staff was great and friendly. If you're a golfer like myself and youu deicide to a golof trip I recommend this resort. The golf course is excellent with nice challenging holes. The greens has a lot of slope which make your putting a challenge as well. The resaurant gets a 4star for its food. Overall I had a great time and I'll come back.
