Visiting for our second time was even better than the first! Having the gulf on one side and the bay on the other is fabulous. Everyone very helpful and accommodations superior. Lovely little cottages, pool and excellent restaurants all around. The delightful trolly service for entire island us an added plus. Whether you stay a night or a week, you will have found "a little piece of paradise."

We were drawn to the Tradewinds when another pet-friendly property gave us a hard time on minimum dates. Boy, were we lucky! We booked #35, which is an amazing one bedroom cottage with a screened porch. The jasmine hanging from the trellis greeted us as we pulled up front. Our unit had a granite countertop in the kitchen, modern updated appliances and a nice step in shower in the bathroom. The bedroom had a quilt covered King size what was comfortable and nicely appointed. The unit had everyth... Read more

Fantastic stay in these quaint cottages between the gulf and the bay! Amazing heated pool near the bay and pet friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Close to restaurants and shopping -- a hidden treasure!! Special thanks to Renee in the office for making our arrangements so perfect at a busy time of year! It was a truly memorable visit!

We were in Anna Maria for a wedding. I had my misgivings at seeing Trade Winds, but was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, quiet and a good location. The beach is across the street and restaurants are walking or a short ride away. I was nervous about noise as there are several signs about who to call if there is any at night. It never happened even though there were several "young" people staying. Impressed!

Great place right next to the beach (you only need to cross the street to get to it)... You are entitled to beach chairs which is extremely convenient for family outings. The rooms are well kept with access to a kitchen and one bathroom if you stay in the suite with two rooms. The dock at the back is beautiful and the pool facility is also well kept. A little pricey but aside from that it's beautiful. If you want to get around there are free trolleys to take you around Ana Maria and if you want ... Read more

This is storybook beautiful. The accomodation location and service are outstanding. Sarasota bay with a private dock on the grounds and a beautiful beach across the road all within 1 minute walk. Easy stroll to town to eat and drink. We are returning this September and hopefully for many years to come

We live in Pensacola, Florida & decided to take a little mini vacation for the Memorial Day weekend. This was my first time to Anna Maria Island. We started looking for places to stay on Trip Advisor and ran across a listing for this resort. I contacted Linda via email and received a response within minutes. We then made phone contact and my reservation was done in a matter of minutes! Fast & efficient. We arrived earlier than planned on Saturday. They were so generous & allowed us to check-in e... We live about an hour away and we have stayed here several times over the years. This place is awesome! The staff is so nice and helpful. It truly feels like home Close to restaurants and right across the street from the beach. We park our car when we get there and don't drive the whole weekend. There's a trolley you can take around the island if needed. I can't say enough great things about these little bungalows in paradise!

Quiet, Relaxing, Perfect. Literally throw a rock toward east or west and hit the water. The perfect get away. I will be back. I just left, and miss it already. So much to see, the sunsets on the beach (which is only a few steps away) are breathtaking. The room was clean and well kept. The staff were helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Looking forward to the next long weekend.

We love Tradewinds, this is our 3rd visit and we plan to stay again in the future. There is everything we need there, the staff are superb and really helpful. The resort has dual aspect, the beach one end and a pool and pier the other. The free trolley bus stops right outside and will take you anywhere on the island

Our cottage was very neat and clean, with beach resort décor, and pet friendly. Staff were very nice and friendly. We loved our visit there and would recommend the resort to others. Tropical Storm Collin did not interfere with our vacation plans even though it was an experience being there at the time we still kept busy.

Another week at Anna Marie Island, brilliant again, and returning home at the end of May 2016. Last year we stayed at Tortuga (superb) but for this year they didnâ??t have the unit we wanted, it was already taken. We had looked around the Tradewinds, last year, just a few yards further up the road, and decided we would stay there. Boy have we been looking forward to it. We went for unit 23. Although there are only two of us, and 23 is a two bedroom 2nd floor apartment, because of itâ??s posit... Read more

This is the second time we have stayed here. It's location is excellent right across the road is an amazing beach. A few minutes walk down the road is bridge street which has nice bars and restaurants. The cottages are clean and very comfortable. The rooms are large and well equipped with very good wifi. The pool area at the rear of the property is lovely and it's right on the water. We will definitely come back

We stayed in one of the south cottages for three days in June 2016. Everything was exactly as expected based on others' reviews: staff were accommodating without be intrusive, our cottage was immaculate and well-stocked, and the overall vibe was funky and laid-back. Just what we were looking for. There is no shortage of recreational options: beach, pool, shopping and restaurants galore. As residents of Sarasota, we feel this is the kind of trip that makes you feel like you are away from home... Read more

My husband and I met my best friend and her boyfriend over here for a day at the beach and to check out their Resort. We were pleasantly surprised upon arriving on their Tradewinds Resort as it is very Key West , beach themed and peaceful. We were able to grill out in the lawn of their Resort, which faces the water and then we walked across the street to the a very beautiful beach with white sand. All in all I would say this is a beautiful place to visit whether you're on a Couple's Retrea... Read more

We stayed at Tradewinds Resort for 5-nights in July. We asked for an end unit on the north side, by the pool, with a king size bed. When I called for reservations, the girl said I couldn't reserve a given room number but when we arrived, we were put in a unit that is exactly what we requested. We had a fully kitchen with dishes, pots/pans and one 13X9 baking dish. The living room had a queen sleeper sofa and the bedroom had the requested king size bed. Our room had 2 closets so we had plent... Read more

Everything about our visit was awesome. From check in to check out great friendly service. The front desk attendants were smiling every time we asked for new beach towels. The room was clean and ready when we arrived. The beach is a walk across Gulf drive to the most beautiful sand you've ever seen. Restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. We've already made our reservations for next year. We looked at a few other places but, we can't find anything that fits our needs like Tradewind... Read more

We stayed in a North Cottage the week of September 12, 2016. We choice this hotel because it was pet friendly. The cottage had a nice small yard directly in the front. The room was exceptionally clean. The pool was very nice. The location is great, right across the street from the beach and very close to nice restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again.
