Boca Raton Resort a Waldorf Astoria Resort
501 East Camino Real, Boca Raton, FL US 33432

A splendid building in the gracious Mediterranean style, the Cloister Inn acted as a residence for Mizner and his beloved pet monkey Johnnie Brown, as well as a haven for its illustrious roster of guests. Over decades, the Cloister Inn evolved into the Boca Raton Resort, a quintessential Florida retreat that has played host to countless celebrities and public figures seeking a private enclave of luxury. At Boca Raton Resort there are active pursuits for any interest. The Resort offers two challenging golf courses in a glorious, mature natural setting. There are thirty immaculate clay tennis courts. Spa Palazzo is one of the largest most comprehensive spas in the world with forty-four treatment rooms, a comprehensive salon and its own adult swimming pool. At the sparkling new Beach, the sister hotel which debuted in 2009, guests bask in the sun poolside or play in the gentle surf of the Atlantic Ocean where the sea temperature ranges from 88 degrees in August to 68 in February. The Resort also offers a croquet lawn, giant chess set, bicycles and a premier marina for deep-sea fishing and sailing charters.Dining at the Resort encompasses an extraordinary range from the cool sophistication of Cielo by Angela Hartnett perched 27 floors above the sea, to rustic Tuscan dishes at Lucca. The latest additions include the popular Serendipity, Morimoto Sushi, and oceanfront dining at SeaGrille. Boca Raton Resort offers elegant lodgings in a collection of five distinct buildings, each with its own decor and architectural style. Built in 1926, the historic Cloister exemplifies classic Mediterranean charm. The Cloister includes a combination of rooms and unique suites with views of the gardens and courtyards. The 27-story Tower offers oversized guestrooms with inspiring views of the Atlantic Ocean. On the corners of the Tower are spacious Junior Suites, perfect for families. A selection of enormous sky residences are situated on the higher floors of the Tower, and the dramatic Cielo by Angela Hartnett is the crown jewel on the top floor. At the Boca Bungalows, guests enjoy second-home conveniences such as gated self-parking, full kitchens and dining rooms, spacious family rooms with balconies, and plenty of storage. The Yacht Club, inspired by a grand Venetian palace, presides over the Intracoastal Waterway and offers truly luxurious accommodations with attentive personal service. The most formal guestroom choice, the Yacht Club rooms feature separate sitting area and waterfront balconies as well as luxurious marble baths. At the new Beach Club at Boca Raton, sleek airy guestrooms sit on the white sandy beach. Honored with Meetings and Conventions' "Gold Key Award" for 23 consecutive years, Boca Raton Resort is one of the most capable and complete business resorts in the nation. An elegant 128,000 square foot meeting venue, the Mizner Center offers five flexible ballrooms, supported by a team of expert conference associates and the latest business technology. The Great Lawn and Spanish Terrace provide year round use of outdoor spaces. Situated on the intracoastal, a second convention center named The Great Hall offers twelve more versatile function rooms designed to allow flexibility in scale, seating and configuration. The facility is quite stunning, right on the water and with a variety of facilities and amenities, but my room was quite dated, and the service throughout my stay was completely unacceptable. I visited the hotel for a conference, and immediately upon check-in, the desk agent tried to up-sell me on a premium room in a different part of the hotel that would have been much less convenient to my conference sessions. If he wanted to offer me an upgrade, that's great, but the last thing I want upon ch... Read more

We have stayed several times over the years, its always great. The decor inside and out is marvelous, the landscaping is Florida. This is such a well maintained property, they use all the green methods, they recycle. The staff is professional and friendly. The rooms have all the amenities, are large and comfortable. They have great bars, restaurants, pools, the Waldorf Astoria Spa, golf, and tennis. Now they have an inclusive package: Breakfast, parking, late checkout, all free; golf, tennis and... Read more

This resort is a wonderful place. Its old architectural charm and grace are evident everywhere. The service is first class, as are the rooms, the grounds immaculate. Was here for a surprise Birthday celebration and all went off without a hitch. The spa was incredible, I see why it voted a top spa in Conde Nast. The resort golf course is being renovated, so you have to go off site to play right now. Was busy with the celebration so I didn't get to enjoy the property as I normally would. If I retu... It was very special seeing Boca from 333 ft above sea level. The service and food at the Blue Restaurant were great. I also enjoyed using the main gym and going to the beach. However, I was disappointed the ferry boat was out of service for the day and no one explained this to me.

We visited Boca Resort for a Yoga Convention, because of this we had a fantastic group rate for what would've have been a room we might not afford. We did no know exactly what to expect but the staff was superb, room was incredibly comfortable and the resort beautiful. The staff really was top notch. I'm allergic to down and within 30 minutes of arriving our bed had been redone with appropriate bedding. Any other need or question we had, they were there. It *is* expensive. It is incredibly eas... For the price, the service was unsatisfactory. The food on site was over priced and the quality of food and service poor. The Serendipity coffee shop was unequiped to handle a large crowd and the coffee was bad.

It is a very good hotel. The weather is too hot and humid in Boca Raton. However the air conditioning makes it perfect for a business trip, especially if there is a conference in the hotel. The in-room wifi is very good. The rooms have much space and the bathroom is very big. The rooms are quiet and the room-service is very good. There are many restaurants in the hotel.

This resort is exactly what a vacation should be! It has it all. The Resort is old Florida plantation with the Beach side is sleek and modern completely complimenting each other. Then there is the spa which is visually beautiful and wonderfully relaxing.

Great getaway. It was our anniversary and bottle of complimentary champagne was in our room. We had dinner the first night and it was absolutely magnificent. The dessert was on the hotel and the entire staff including the people around the pool area could not have been better. I would recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back

We had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful resort. The grounds are spectacular! We stayed in the Yacht Club rooms (in the main part of the resort) which were lovely and spacious and have a gorgeous view of Lake Boca and of all of the yachts. There is an amazing spa, golf course and tennis courts. We took the hotel's boat to the beach club every morning which my kids loved. Definitely get to the pools and beach early, as they get very crowded.

This resort blew every expectation we had out of the water!!!! True opulence and top notch customer service! We will absolutely return to this resort and recommend it highly. We took our daughter there for her 17th birthday and planned to do the yacht cruise. We were rained out. The resort was so stunning that we were t even disappointed we were stuck inside!!! It was kind of an unexpected treat!

The hotel felt like a disney hotel. It offered plenty of options for restaurants and things to do but was very crowded. Nice room with a water view- it was great to wake up with that view. Overall the hotel was fine but too large for my taste.

Best time, lots to do and excellent service. It is walking distance to at least 70 restaurants and lots of shopping. The beach is a few blocks away and there is much to entertain you. We have stayed there many times and never had a problem and nothing is a problem to the staff.

Our stay was fantastic from the very moment we arrived. There is so much to do at this hotel as well as some of the nicest most accommodating individuals I have ever encountered while traveling. You must stop by and see Gabor at Serendipity, he makes your whole experience worthwhile and the kids love him. This man really loves his job and is certainly great at it! So much to do, so many great people, what more could you want. Thank you Boca Resort!

We were sent here by several friends and assured it was a first class property. Read a lot of writeup's here on Trip Advisor about how great it is for families. Nothing could be further from the truth. Still here for another 7 days and regretting every minute that we ever booked this place. Went here for a weekend getaway, kids had a blast in the kids club and watching a movie by the pool at night. Spa was wonderful, nice relaxing afternoon for parents. Came for a yoga convention at the end of May- Memorial Day weekend. Facility is large, and though my reservation was for a water view Jr suite, we were given a room w 2 double beds room overlooking the courtyard. Given that we didn't spend much time in the room, and it was at a lower rate, I did not complain. We especially enjoyed the restaurants on property and our convention. We recently got back from a short stay at this resort. I really wanted to love it. Like other reviews have mentioned, the public areas and grounds are beautiful. The staff members we encountered were also amazing. Our room however, was a different story. It wasn't awful or dirty. Just extremely bland. Great Architecture. Rooms were dated and bland. Rooms would of fit in at any hotel along I-95. Staff was amazing, not sure how they put up with the guests. Most members & guests seemed to be entitled snobs. Not much else to say, the entitled & rude guests made the visit less then enjoyable.

The Boca Resort has been a staple in the east Boca Community for years. We live in Fort Lauderdale and decided to take a short "staycation" for the weekend. While you can tell that the hotel can use some paint in many places, the elegance of the spa, the geographical location right on the Intracoastal waterway, and the sunny South Florida tropical environment more than make up for the smaller cosmetic blemishes. We stayed at the Boca Beach Club for 2 nights in a 2nd floor balcony room. The rooms are small with only full size beds, but the beds are very comfortable. The room is far from luxurious, more of a very nice hotel room. The room was showing its age with some rust in the shower and the bathroom door was not closing properly. I do not want to slam this resort but for the money, they should be more buttoned up. The good: Beautiful Grounds, Friendly Staff, Good health club, and great view from the room. The Bad: NO HOT WATER one morning in the shower, Quirky WiFi, beds are not the most comfortable, and the catered food is not the best. They should not put their towels above the toilet either. Twice, my towels fell in when reaching for them.
