Wrote a very positive review same time last year with more details. Our second annual father/son three day golf weekend at Turnberry. Will make this short - two great courses impeccably maintained. Soffer the signature course is an excellent layout and particularly well landscaped. Miller course is fun - 6 par 3s and 4 par 5s. Everything about the property is first rate. Both restaurants are excellent - and very different from each other. Quality of service from all staff was terrific. And a s... Read more

I went there for a ballroom dance competition. What a beautiful place to stay. There have everything you could possibly imagine. Lovely pools, lazy river tubing, delicious food in their restaurants, golf, and shopping. The rooms are superb. Comfy beds, large clean rooms, and marble bathrooms with waterfall showers make you want to extend your stay. The staff made us feel right at home. Eddie was a wonderful help with our luggage, helping us check in, and showing us everything in our rooms.... Read more

We were met by Turnberry Isle employee, Ian at the Hotel's front entrance, he did an outstanding job overseeing our luggage and was very informative about all amenities at the hotel. The best treatment we have ever had at any hotel! The next day, we met him on the grounds and he remembered our names and personally escorted us to an area on the grounds we were trying to locate. He has a good sense of humor and takes pride in his work. A great asset to the hotel!

My toilet wouldn't stop flushing. My toiletries were almost empty. For a place like this, the place should be a bit better for the rating it gets - the little things. The staff is nice super nice - but why is housekeeping doing my room at 630pm? The valet was wonderful - the front desk was incredible - the food? Just okay. The pools, beautiful, the staff at the pool amazing... The people with the towels were in a heated discussion about something and I had t ask for a towel - weird. Anyway it's... Read more

Turnberry is a beautfiul property. I was impressed with the golf facilities, restaurants, and rooms. The infrastructure provided a good experience throughout. I was a bit disappointed by the staff. From the check-in to check-out it was subpar with what I have come to expect from a Marriott Autograph Collection. The two bright spots were our staff at the Bourbon Room for dinner. The bartender, server, and bar backs were all pleasant to deal with and went above and beyond to make sure we were comf... Read more

This Memorial Day weekend we had a wonderful time making family memories at Turnberry Isle Miami. Even got a complimentary photo keepsake from Christie's Photographic Studios. Gorgeous golf view room, two beautiful pools, a lazy river and access to a lovely beach at Sole. First thing that was really off-putting was that such a lovely resort allowed on-site smoking. At doors, on patios, at the pool areas (even the kids pool). It was disgusting. Second: very few rooms are actual peaceful to do the noise from the laundry room, facility trucks, and etc that you hear from the balcony. At night we heard staff fighting, using obscene language, oh and the smoking. While rooms look "peaceful" overlooking the golf course, think again. We stayed in two rooms, each was lou... Read more

In the three years since we last stayed here the pool area and rooms had a complete refresh! The lazy river is simply wonderful as is the food and service from all staff. Nice room, stain on the carpet, not expected at a 4-5 star property. Linens and room were clean and crisp. Views of the golf course and coastal high rises, very nice. Food and drink - go elsewhere - priced way above the normal for any GREAT property - more like NYC prices than south Florida OFF SEASON. Plus valet, at almost $40 a NIGHT was more like NYC, too! Food was better than most hotels. Golfers will LOVE this place, but families, and beach-goers look elsewhere.

Have been vacationing at this resort for the last 10 years and always enjoyed our stay! We spend around 2 weeks every year and can truly say we enjoy our stay! Definitely preferred it before when the resort had private beach club, but every year when booking our 2 weeks in florida we reconsider but ultimately return to Turnberry, feels like family, especially Jose at the lobby bar that will do the utmost to please his guests and this is consisted with most of the guest i spoke to!

I visited Turnberry for 3 days in August 2016. The staff there were friendly and accommodating from the moment I set foot on the resort. When I approached the front desk, Adriana greeted me warmly and offered to hold my bags while I walked off property to the mall. The mall is very nice, by the way, offering both high end boutiques and retail shops. Room: My room was available hours before the designated check-in time, which is always a plus. I stayed in a room on the ground floor of the Hibi... Read more

I stayed there with my family. Everything is amazing. Of course you have to pay it for. Staff at the pool was super polite. We got a room at Magnolia Building. Enormous and with a golf view balcony. Expensive parking and the time you have to wait to get your car is not short.

Usually it is always my first option when im thinking on going to Miami but this time i was dissapointed the service wasnt very good, i order a pair of sleepers more than 3 times and they came till i went to the front desk to tell them whats going on, room was never cleaned properly and i also told to the manager and it never changed, my room wasnt so good and the worst is that one night we came to our room and outside of it was some cups broken that was left in the morning on the room next to u... We were contemplating where to stay for the weekend, so that the kids could enjoy just one more weekend before school starts. Turnberry Isle worked!!! The pool/recreation facilities, and food and beverage team did a great job making sure we all had the necessary, specifically the 3 little ones. Out of the many people who assisted us and made our stay extra special we remembered: Tamzyn - who greeted us at the pool and welcomed us while we awaited for our room. Dimy & Paola who kept us hydra... Read more

We stayed at the Turnberry for two nights in May, and we requested a quiet room away from the pool for our stay. We were allocated a room with a patio door that led directly out to the pool. Disappointing, but not a huge issue. While the room was large and well-appointed, it was incredibly dusty and a lot of items needed maintenance. For example, in the bathroom, the light fixture was broken, a plug was broken, and the caulk on the tub was non-existent (so we were reluctant to use the tub). Al... Read more

We have been at the resort for the past 4 days and have three more to go. The resort is fantastic. I fail to understand how anybody could complain about it. The staff does not know about the word 'no'. They consistently meet every request promptly and with a smile. My three young boys love the place and do not want to leave. The kids club is great; especially Daniella the main teacher. The rooms are huge, clean, and luxurious. The grounds are immaculate and every staff member says hello with a s... Read more

Stayed here for three nights. Top class hotel but as the title suggests, you sure pay for it. Pros: Very close to Aventura Mall and free shuttle service from hotel. Pool area very large with lazy river and slide. Pool food pretty good also. Driving range and short game areas excellent. Thank you to Michael on Saturday for being so helpful and keeping me in bottles of water. Super service. Basic wifi excellent. Cons: Valet parking only - $32 + tax. Cannot self park. I know that the hot... Read more

Went to Turnberry this weekend with some friends on the back of a recommendation. Let's start with the good. Old courses are good, rooms are nice and staff are friendly. That's where it ends. Facilities, pool, bars etc are average and food and drinks are massively overpriced for what they are. Through in the fact that the golf course end is a construction site that is very noisy especially in the AM I would suggest giving this place a swerve.

Although they are undergoing a mini renovation, the resort can certainly use refreshing. At the entry door, lazy doormen were lounging against the door, and couldn't be bothered to open it. The hotel staff stare at your or slightly nod their heads as you walk by, but they are certainly not welcoming, and the housekeepers were standing around chatting to themselves and didn't even have the common sense to scatter and look busy when you pass them. The restaurants are still great and the staff at... Read more

In the heart of aventura. This amazing hotel has the best setup in aventura. A great golf course and amazing set of restaurants ti endulge your palate. The best pool and club for kids. The most spectacular tennis facility and probably the best golf course in Miami. This is a must if you have to visit people in aventura.

Yes, i wrote it in all caps because this was my experience. I was there this Labor Day weekend and it was pure luxury. The resort is beautifully maintained and the service is top tier. I feel compelled to share my experience of this weekend. I had flowers ordered to be delivered from an outside vendor, as a surprise for my girlfriend. The vendor dropped the ball and did not deliver. I spoke to Frederic, the concierge and the staff at Turnberry Isle accepted the challenge. Under the direction ... Read more

This was my first stay at this Country Club and Resort. If I was looking to join a club this is the model of what I would want! I stayed here for the Labor Day weekend as a local getaway since I live about 40 minutes away. I chose this property for its amenities like the golf course and the lazy river at the pool. I was not disappointed in either of those but really found the entire property to my liking. We arrived and they were quick to grab our bags and direct us to registration which ... Read more

My experience is that service is generally very poor in Miami. This is not the case at Turnberry. Every one on staff is fantastic. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The resort itself is a pet friendly oasis in the heart of busy Aventura. Two downsides. The fitness center is under renovation which was very annoying and there is no self park, only valet. I prefer to park my own car. That said, I highly recommend this resort.

My husband and I visited the Turnberry Island Golf Resort Hotel, in Aventura /Miami, this summer. The hotel is situated along a plush golf course, offering spectacular views of the course. The architecture of the hotel is " Mediterranean " style creating a warm atmosphere. It offers 2 pools . One of them has a water slide making it a favorite for families while the other one is mostly frequented by adults. The pool dining is very limited by its setting as well as its menu. The grounds are well ma... Read more

I've been to Turnberry three times this year alone. My first experience wasn't the best as I was treated poorly by the pool manager when I was upset about my food taking 40 mins to get to my family and I. The second experience was a lot better, but not the best, My pool Server was Lola she was a New York native like my family and I. She was very helpful in what to do around Miami (without the kids) and in helping us to order drinks and food. (She can make a great margarita!) The pool was not s... Read more

I stayed at the resort only one evening for work but everyone bent over backwards to help me. First I arrived early at 9am and was allowed to check in. After being sent to a room that was not clean (and I was actually escorted there by an employee after I got lost) I returned to the front desk. The staff was so apologetic and upgraded my room and provided a $50 room credit. Room was beautiful. On day of checkout I needed my bag stored securely for many hours and Lesly Pierre went to great effort... Read more
