The Williard is a pleasant surprise in the heart of DC. Beautiful, relaxing, and will all the proper amenities. Excellent soaking bathtubs. Although the rooms are small, they are well decorated, comfortable, clean, with luxury bath amenities. Nice on-site spa with massage therapy. Food is great in keeping with what one expects in Washington. Staff are capable and service oriented. Fantastic location, walking distance to the Mall. Good price for value received at this property. A beautiful hotel. Gorgeous lobby and beautiful, comfortable rooms. Request an upper floor with a view of Pennsylvania Avenue--it's well worth the extra expense. We even saw a presidential motorcade from our room. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The Round Robin bar is filled with DC elite at all hours. Our only complaint was the unresponsive a/c in our room. Their maintenance man tried to adjust it but the temp only went down a few degrees. He said it was old. We defintiely would go... Read more

Expensive but worth it We'd previously stayed at the Intercontinental Ho Chi Minh which was also great. Join their Ambassador programme and have upgrades and free wifi

Stayed here one week attending opera. Close to all sights. Beautiful lobby, excellent attentive staff. Rooms comfortable , nothing exciting. Nice bathroom. Bar always so,packed it is hard to drop in. Breakfast room way too small. Had to wait to,be seated most mornings. Seems to be a place where businessmen meet for breakfast, causing hotel guests to have to wait. Rooms fairly reasonably priced for a historic hotel. Breakfast buffet overpriced,as we ate only one or two things & $32 seemed high... Read more

Stayed for three nights in this lovely heritage hotel with great sense of history. Had a particularly good meal in the Cafe du Parc which was bustling with a nice ambience. I remember it well as it was a warm evening with a massive lightning storm raging outside which we watched from our table underneath the large windows.

We stayed here for 3 nights on the Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed the hotel and its facilities.... After a bit of faffing about changing rooms to what we ordered we were allocated a good size King room.... Hotel service was efficient which is good given we had a couple of tiny niggles which were resolved speedily.. The hotel is in an excellent location within easy walking distance of ... Read more

Generally, I try to write less of my opinions of a hotel/resort and more of those details that I search for in other reviews. That said, my opinion of the Willard is a very high one. For a nice, historic, comfortable hotel in a great location - the Willard lives up to its billing. First, if you can the Washington Monument view rooms afford a view that is very rare in DC. Second, the common areas of the hotel retain all their historic grandeur and are a step back in time to a more ele... Read more

My wife and her best friend stayed at the Willard InterContinental this weekend and were absolutely blown away. When first entering the hotel we were astounded at size and beauty of the lobby. This hotel is a real treasure. Saved from the wrecking ball some years back this has all the style and grandeur of European hotels. The hotel has a rich political history being very closely located to all the National Mall has to offer. We stayed for a wedding which was taking place in the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfortable. We would stay here again.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite for a short visit to DC. The hotel location is superb and the history as well as common spaces are simply beautiful, however, there are some aspects which do not make sense to me. When staying in a suite this size one would think that someone would show us around, it was not the case and we had to call the front desk a few times to get the information (none of which was available in the suite). I think that management tend to forget that small things make a wo... Read more
