Booked this Hotel off of the Southwest Airline site. Booked it for the location mainly. From the time we arrived and were met by Manny, we knew this was going to be a good selection. Our room was large and well kept. We were well within walking distance to the Smithsonian and only 2 blocks from the Metro stop, Overall the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The bedding and towels were first rate! A great weekend stay for us!

Walking distance to George Washington University. Building is showing its age, but scheduled for remodeling. It's clean and the bedding is great. Needs separate vanity from bathroom. The night stands are downright dangerous. They are tiered, and it would be very easy to trip over the bottom tier in the middle of the night. Lots of things are in walking distance. Georgetown nearby. We "Ubered" it, but if you're ambitious you could probably walk it. Lots of places to eat. Safe, clean part of the c... Read more

We loved our stay! The hotel is far enough out that the price is reasonable. There are metro stations close by so getting around is easy (once you learn the metro). Staff is friendly and very helpful. Tyler always had a smile on her face and was very helpful with restaurant choices! The only reason I didn't rate 5 of 5 is due to the AC. They were not able to switch the system over during our stay and our room got really hot if closed up at night, which it needs to be since the street traffic is ... Read more

Very well located near The National Mall and within 40 min of the farthest museum I visited. It's clean and well kept but could use a good updating to modern codes, but for me the bottom line is a clean bed, linens, and carpets. And it didn't disappoint. The Lobby and some areas are in the process of getting updated and there is some construction remodeling noise during day time hours till its done. First let me say the staff is great but totally powerless to make room changes. The back of the hotel backs up to what can best be described as a dumpster farm. Starting at 3AM all the way to 7AM, you will hear nonstop backup alarms and dumpsters dropped out of the sky off trucks. These are not your typical backup this am sounded like a European police siren. Management describes this as typical city's not..I've traveled to large cities all over the world. This is a ... The hotel is physically nice, in a good location, and well managed. My only complaint was the daily 5am dumpster clear at the back of the building. Woke me up every day. The back rooms face this space so if you're sensitive to noise you may want to rethink this hotel. When I spoke to reception they said the front is worse because of street noise and fire engines. Could use some noise proofing.

I had a road trip with my family to Washington DC, New York, Niagara Fall, Toronto. The location of the hotel is excellent. It's very closed to the Metro station. Coffee shop and restaurants were nearby. The room seems OK. The bed is good. There is a desk power outlets and the room is BIG! The negative is the bathroom which was clean but not in a very good shape. It REALLY needs some updates. There was water pipe line stuck out on the ceiling in the bathroom and some peeling paint on the wa... Read more

This is an older property but fairly well maintained regarding furnishings. While it was convenient to the location of my meeting, the downsides outweighed the convenience. First, it is the noisiest hotel in DC at which I've ever stayed. Sirens, honking horns, early morning garbage truck pickups and construction activity made it very difficult to get a decent night's rest. And I can sleep through a lot! Also, the heat did not work in my room and I had to have a space heater brought up to th... Read more

Receptionist Brenyea answered questions and gave helpful parking advice. At the end of her shift, she walked my Maryland-based friend and me to a locked garage on the next block and offered advice in retrieving my friend's car. Throughout the three-nights my husband and I stayed there, other RL staff were friendly and helpful as well. We hope to return to RL on our next DC trip. The location, helpful staff, and room accommodations fit our needs.

My husband and I stayed overnight while in town for an event. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. When we checked in, they did tell us that since we were only staying one night we were in a room that may potentially have noise from the street. Room 201 is right off the elevator, above the lobby, and sits on the street side of the hotel. Despite all that, and even though their warning was a little off-putting, we didn't have any trouble sleeping at all and heard very little noise.... Read more

Hotel RL is right around the corner from my workplace (I work remotely from another state), so I stayed there to get to an early-morning meeting. Honestly, I liked everything about my stay. First, I had to get used to the people checking me in without a regular desk or whatever separating us - I could just walk up to a person with their computer on a very small desk at standing height. The lobby is small, so this opened up space for a coffee bar and relaxing sofas. The check-in space also had a ... Read more

As you come through the front door you're greeted warmly by a receptionist who's equipped with a tablet that s/he uses to register you. All of the receptionists were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious and had most of the necessary amenities but, bizarrely, lacked a glass or anything that could serve as a tooth brush holder. The decor is getting a little tired, although the room had been painted recently. We were there in November when it wasn't cold enough outside for the he... Read more

We were trying this hotel for the first time and chose it because of its proximity to our daughter's office. It was an absolutely wonderful stay. Everyone was welcoming and extremely helpful. The new decor (while not finished) was relaxing and attractive. Our room was amazingly spacious and comfortable. The only down side was the street noise but RL thoughtfully supplies ear plugs. The bed was very comfortable and their pillows are the first ones we have EVER liked in a hotel !! And we travel a... Read more

Stayed here from Tuesday thru Friday last week and stayed in room 207. The room was big with a microwave and a refrigerator. Came with Wifi as well. Only issue I would say is the drain in the shower did not drain the first day and someone had to come out to fix it. Other than that no issues with hotel and would stay here again.

This was our first trip to Washington DC but wont be the last. The Hotel was in a great location in Downtown close to everything within walking distance. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and obliging when checking in and especially Andre in the Business Centre who helped me out when I had to book the shuttle to Baltimore Airport for our flight to California, thank you so much Andre. They have PC's for your use on the lower level and free Wi-Fi in your room. The hotel has wonderful lar... Read more

This hotel is a cute boutique hotel with amazing personal service and help! The location can't be beat! The rooms are large with microwave and fridge, although the coffee pot didn't work. Hopefully, the espresso bar will be ready to open soon!

It's been a rough stay this far. As you enter the hotel it's hard to decipher where the front desk is. You are checked in by someone sitting at a wooden desk just inside the front door with a laptop. People were packed in either trying to check in or check out. Coffee bar was closed. Got to my room. Not a bad looking room but the HVAC does not work. Room was warm and when I called the "front desk" I was told that the hotel was changing systems and that I was welcome to open a window. I request... Read more
