Whilst I was travelling to DC for business this hotel was a great place to stay within walking distance to most things. The staff are excellent and more than happy to assist with any queries. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The attached argentine restaurant is also very good providing good quality options for lunch or dinner if you prefer to stay in the hotel complex. The hotel is very well located - a pleasant walk to the monuments. I look forward to staying here again on my next tr... Read more

Stayed here for a friends graduation. Very nice hotel. Rooms were big,but paid for a city view and didn't get it. They did move me on request. Love the bar, restaurant is anArgentinian steak house. Would recommend to anyone wanting up scale digs in DC. DO NOT get a room near the ice maker. Concierge was very helpful!

This hotel was awesome. The staff was always going above and beyond to make the stay great. If you asked for something you received it. I had a package shipped and it was brought to my room within minutes of the actual delivery. The space was clean and housekeeping did an excellent job everyday. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed 4 days at this luxurious hotel during the Convention with a mixed feeling. Service was just OK. Requested a hot water (there‚??s no coffeemaker in room), waiting for almost an hour. Asked for a hotel receipt when checked out, getting a strange look: ‚??you should have got it on internet‚??. Called taxi by ourselves, no one helping us to load our luggage, was it too early in the morning? Wireless Wi-Fi was free, worked very well, but limited to three devices (means you could not have iPhon... Read more

Just a few blocks from the whitehouse and very close to all other DC attractions and a bevy of restaurants. Very clean, nice sized rooms, friendly staff and reasonably priced. My only issue is the in room frig. Move anything in the fridge and you are charged. I just want to put my own stuff in there but can't. Very comfortable beds, pillows. Ample closet space, free wifi and other amenities. The fitness center is negligible, if you like to run, it's a 5k to Arlington. Plenty of space to ... Read more

I had a really terrible experience in the hotel. I stayed on there on a Thursday May 26th, and had to be up and out of the hotel at 9:30AM Friday. I got up to the shower not working at all. There wasn't even hot water available in the sink either and the water barely ran out of there. Called down to let the hotel know and ask if there was anything they could do as I had to leave soon. 20 minutes passes with no call back, so I had to call back down to find out that engineering had told them t... Stayed 3 nights and we were happy over all with the hotel. Close to Whitehouse and tourist sights, with metro stop quite handy. Negatives are no coffee in room and not many places to eat in walking distance, you need a taxi or metro in order to get to where locals eat out

We stayed here for 4 nights. Lovely hotel. It was very luxurious and had a very grand feel to it. We did not feel posh enough to stay there! The room was large and comfortable. My only complaint was that the hotel air conditioning unit was right outside our room and it constantly made noise. We had ear plugs with us luckily so it didn't disturb us but I would've liked to have been warned about it upon check in. We had an issue with our television signal during our stay however it was resolved ve... Read more

the location is great for roaming around DC and not far from the metro. From the minute I entered, the staff at this hotel was welcoming and competent. My room was spacious, and quiet as I requested a top floor, a request they were able to accomodate. There were ample outlets both on the desk and the night stand, and the room was comfortable to work in. The hotel has a luxury feel as there were ample oversized pillows and the sheets were soft. I would also consider this hotel for a pleasure ... Read more

The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was friendly enough but not over-the-top. We were there for business meetings and the meeting rooms were difficult to regulate the temperature. Hotel is located within walking distance of major tourist sights and shopping. Hotel is close to the Ronald Regan airport, and will cost you about $20 - $25 depending on the traffic. Decent restaurant "Lincoln" located just behind the hotel.

Look, this is a lovely hotel, BUT it has no working AC. Still. I have stayed here at least eight times and each time, I wake in the middle of the night sweating. Here's a hint: Ask for a oscillating fan and put it next to what they call the AC unit. As the AC unit dribbles out tiny bits of air, the fan will help distribute it and then, maybe, you'll be able to spell well. The front staff is great, but if you can't get a good night's sleep, the hotel fails in its responsibility.

The entire staff of this hotel is wonderful to deal with. From the the front desk, to the concierge, to the bellman, and housekeeping, everyone made us feel welcome no matter the time of day or time on their shift. This was my first Loews experience and cannot wait for the next. The rooms were very comfortable, restaurant and bar convenient right off the lobby, and the hotel is very convenient to many DC locations. It is about a four block walk from the McPherson Square Metro station. We wi... Read more

I've stayed in a lot of Loews hotels throughout the US. So far, this has been the most average one and average experience for me. The room itself was nice, the decor was classic and I actually felt like I was in DC being in the room. The front desk staff were nice. Innocence, the concierge agent was very nice and helpful. The lobby is small but cozy. There were things that were missing that I've been accustomed to having at other Loews Hotels. The bathroom amenities were limited. There was... Read more

My first time ever going to Washington D.C, I check into the Loews Madison Hotel, being that I am familiar with the Loews Hotel in Miami. I assumed it was just like its Miami location, beautiful and courtesy to its customers. Unfortunately I was wrong and mistaken. After pushing my friends to stay there with us for my husbands birthday, I had never felt so embarrased before, as I did when we checked in. I booked my reservation directly through the site. I was even offered a special rate, which w... Read more

Great place to stay. The staff was awesome! Rooms were clean. Service was exceptional. Restaurants and bars were very nice and had a very good variety. We will stay here again if we get to come back to Washington DC. The hotel is in a great location. We were within walking distance to the White House and many other attractions. The Metro is only three blocks away. Taxis are very inexpensive. Numerous restaurants, bars, and coffee shops within two to three block area.

Pretty decorations but very old. The hallways have a weird smell. Our view was the back of a building so that took away from the hotel experience a bit. This is not a cheap hotel so expect for them to have a decent view at least of the street. Again, very old so I guess they have to work with the 50+ year old architecture.

We stayed in a king deluxe suite on the 15th floor. Great, well-appointed, spacious room with a balcony. My big issue with this hotel is the service. We repeatedly asked to have our mini bar and room coffee restocked both via the front desk, housekeeping and the service line--and it was like talking to a wall. There were plenty of "yes, we'll take care of it's" but never of the course of a three night stay did they come through.

Not knowing the area, the Loews was recommended by a colleague as the best centrally located hotel. Everything was top nothc- check in was a breeze, rooms were beautiful and clean, food was outstanding, and the customer service we received from each and every employee was amazing. We would absolutely stay at this property again!

I stayed here one night with my dad after going to a concert last month. The staff was very attentive and the hotel was extremely nice. It was in a great location and The room was reasonably priced. I would give this hotel a higher rating had it been closer to the action. Our biggest issue with this hotel was the 15 minute walk to the metro (closest station is Mcpherson Square) and 20- 25 minute walk to the closest attraction which is the White House. Many people say the hotel is in a great central location but this is relative. If you live in a city where you are used to walking maybe you consider 15 minutes walk to the closest subway close. When you live in a city where you drive everywhe... Read more

3 nights with wife and two kids. Friendly staff, very clean, and close to monuments and White House. Got a pretty good rate with it being a holiday. Parking is pricey, just as it is in every big city, I expected that. Thanks to the friendly front desk staff for helping find a late, family friendly, deliver dinner option on our last night. Would definitely stay again if ever in DC!

The hotel is located just a few blocks from the White House, so it is within walking distance of most DC attractions. Superb service when I checked in at 1 am as I arrived late from D.C. It was a quick check in and off I went up to my beautiful room. I have heard a lot of famous celebrities and politicians stayed here. The hotel was very nice and the room was kept very well. I did not order breakfast. Prime location and about a 5 to 7 minute walk to The White House. I would 100 percent stay here again. Did not feel to take photos of the room. It was a standard room.

Was in room 1501 on the top floor, very nice suite, big with a king sized bed, sofa bed for the girls and a balcony!!. Whilst you could feel the springs in the sofa bed, the girls still slept 10+ hours straight on it each night after full days of DC sightseeing. The Hotel was fabulous, the rooms were clean & welcoming, the only critisism I have is that our room looked out onto a scruffy set of buildings at the back of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming, pleasant & very helpful. As this was our first time in the USA we were a bit like fish out of water but the staff & the concierge were great.
