I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. The best service is in checking-in. There is a guy who is really nice,I think he is Thai and always has a smile on his face and tries to be accommodating. I always seem though to get the rooms that face the freeway. The dark shades are not sufficient to block the light and the lower the floor the more you are likely to hear a bit of the noise from the traffic which starts early. Best to ask not to stay on that side of the hotel. On the plus si... Read more

We found this new Hyatt to be excellent on all scores. The hotel is about three blocks from the Capitol end of the mall. It was pristine from the reception ares to the elevators through the breakfast buffet to the guest rooms. The staff was professional and worked diligently to make us feel welcome and comfortable. On the first night we asked for pretzels or other bar snack with our drinks ( they have a snack menu but we were going to a dinner engagement). Vada, the food and beverage mana... Read more

I booked this hotel on last minute and we had a delayed flight coming from rhode island due to the weather. Once we arrived at the hotel around 10pm the family were very tired but Paul and his team made sure we were assisted right away. They do extra mile to delight guests. Since it was late I had to look for a convenience store to find some toilettries and on top of that left my keys in the room he made sure I get a new copy and helped me getting shapoos, toothpaste and toothbrush. The staff of this property was incredible. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and even remembered my name and room number by sight. This was a new experience for me since I'm front a very small country town and I've never been to the city but they were very helpful in making sure that all my questions were answered and needs were met. I wound recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed at the new Hyatt Place June 4~7, 2016. We chose the hotel based on price, amenities and reviews. The Hyatt was perfect for our needs in a hotel . The breakfast was great and fresh. There was ample seating and a lovely outdoor deck for dining. We ordered from the happy hour menu of the Galley one evening before a tour. All hotel personnel were professional and helpful. Lance at the Galley and Clyde the concierge were especially helpful. The only drawback of this location is lack of... Read more

The location is just ok. You can take subway to L'Enfant Plaza and walk around 7min to the hotel. Some of the front desk employees are not very nice. No matter I ask for what, they always ask me to go down stairs to get what I need in front desk They told me they don't have such service to bring things to your room, such as toothbrush, toothpaste and comb. Great location. The check in staff (Jamil I believe) was an absolute gem. The concierge was extremely helpful in recommending a place for lunch as well. The location was central to everything. Great location. The staff was great - Jazz, Paul, Robert and Jonah were all very helpful during our stay. The concierge, Sophia, was very helpful with suggestions and tickets. There was a 20-minute line to get food; you felt like you were in a free hand-out line at some free jubilee. certainly don't like feeling that way in a luxury hotel at almost $300 per night. We arrived during a heatwave - but a more accurate term would be microwave, because we felt like we were being cooked every time we went outside. Upon arrival in DC, we got a cab from DCA, which was about a ten minute ride, and not expensive. As we entered th... Read more

Place is amazing to say the least. It is on the higher end price range but when staying mid week in DC, it was a bargain. They have a saltwater pool that the kids loved. The housekeeping was great and the service at the front desk was awesome. Also, the breakfast was extremely well done and lots of choices and food is so good. The Park Hyatt is a good value in a good location. This is a relatively new hotel. Staff is well trained and very friendly. Breakfast buffet not stellar and crowded. Roof top bar is a nice place to enjoy DC at night. Fire station on ground level does not cause any real noise problems with sirens etc and brings an element of additional safety to the hotel. The attendant was welcoming to our entire family, including our 2 little girls by offering them a balloon pet :). Took a peek into the gym: it has free weights and cardio machines. Beds were big enough so that everyone had enough room. There is also a corner sofa which is also convenient and comfortable. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for 5 days and had an amazing room with terrific staff and a great breakfast included every morning. We will stay here again if we get the chance to come back to DC. The location of the hotel is only 4 blocks away from the National Mall. Hotel is very clean and we felt very secure. There is a working fire department on the bottom part of the hotel that was really unique. Never heard the sirens once! Be sure to check out the cool roof top bar where you can see the Capital and... The hotel is located south of the National Mall, but don't be put off by the location. It is convenient to public transportation, a tour bus stop and you can easily walk to the National Mall. Rooms are very well appointed, comfortable and clean. The staff at the hotel was top-notch, check in/out was easy and they graciously give you anything you might need during your stay. While this is not a high-end luxury hotel, the entire staff treats guests as though it were. This makes the stay worthw... Read more

We stayed at the Hyatt during Labor Day weekend with our two children 8 & 12. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and clean. The food at the restaurant was really good. The kids loved the variety that was offered at breakfast. There's a great patio area outside with table and chairs. There's a small pool and large gym. The hotel is a block or so away from the air and space museum. It was super easy to get a taxi and about a 10 minute car ride to all the main attractions. Check in process was e... Read more

Very nice property and great location. Close to the metro. The staff was very helpful and did seem to care for us and our comfort. Was somewhat surprised at the clutter of paper and other items at the front desk. Did not speak well to the Hyatt image.

We arrived for a for a four day exploration of DC. Very professional and helpful staff and new facility - comfortable and friendly. About three blocks from the Mall, so very convenient. The only problem with that side of the mall is that the other side offers more nightlife. However, when the wharf area is completed, it will be great!

The hotel staff and rooms were remarkable but it was soured by the loud environment. Between the highway outside my window and the nearby airport, I heard traffic and takeoffs/landings throughout the day and night. I used a white noise app to mask it, but could still hear much of it.

The neighborhood the hotel is nice and quiet even though you are next to a firehouse. This hotel would better for business people due to there are not a lot restaurants in the immediate area. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay! The location was very close to the Mall, which was perfect for the activities I wanted to do. I do have a couple of issues but nothing major: - Breakfast was fantastic. The other meal options weren't so good. My club sandwich was dry and thin. The salad looked somethings from a convenience store. I was surprised that the Hyatt offered food like this. - I was a bit miffed by the cabs available outside the hotel; my driver purposely took a long route which doub... Read more

The hotel and hotel staff are great. Overnight parking is $40 per night. There was an incident with my car that could have been prevented if the valet only parking garage was truly secured and I would have felt a little better about paying $40 per night for valet only parking. The incident makes me very unsatisfied with the valet only parking at the hotel. The hotel must do a better job of securing their valet only parking garage.

They do not offer an airport shuttle, but it is a short cab ride from Reagan. You enter on the ground level and the main floor is considered the 3rd level.
