This was a great Hotel. I think I got special treatment because it was my birthday, but it was worth it! This hotel is pricey. It is also near all of the DC sights. If you are willing to park your car and walk, you can see all the DC monuments, museums, and everything else that DC has to offer. We were able to explore, and just have a great time, always coming back to the warm staff at the hotel, great service and just a pleasant atmosphere. Thanks so much for helping me celebrate a great 35!

We stayed in this only one night so we haven't used all the hotel's facilities. However, I can confirm that the room was very spacious and beds were cosy (well, they were supposed to be cosy as the hotel is not the cheapest alternative in Washington!). The staff was also extremely helpful and nice. That's all I remember.

First time I finally found a decent business hotel in DC ! Got a room on floor 6, facing the street. Beware ongoing roadworks (for which they equipped rooms with ear plugs). Room was big, spacious, clean and furniture was nice. Bathroom equally clean, roomy and relatively new. Decent choice of body products (shampoo, body lotion and shower gel from Neutrogena). Check-in/out quite swift. Empty frigo-bar (but was given free bottled water at reception). Pretty basic breakfast, with limited health... Read more

This hotel is in the downtown area of DC. If you want to be able to walk and do all the sight seeing in the area it is perfect. Government workers would have a great time here as well. Walking is awesome and uber is available so getting around isn't an issue. The breakfast cost is VERY high but there are other places very close to the hotel that offer a better deal. Security is outstanding here. I highly recommend it!

The only reason I have not given this hotel a 'poor' rating is that our room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. This is a very basic hotel, not the standard which you expect of a Hilton. The staff seemed very poorly trained - the woman on reception could not even find the hotel location on the map. We had to work at getting a smile out of the staff in the restaurant. Shouldn't they be smiling and welcoming? The restaurant itself is not great and the food was standard. After day... Read more

Service was good. The street noise is loud in the lower floors so ask for a room higher up. Bring your own pillow because the ones provided were way too soft. The restaurant was ok if you're too tired to walk around. Overall, a good value for DC.

We were in town for Memorial Day weekend and this hotel was a very good choice. It's a short walk to some great restaurants, the White House, the Mall, some of the major monuments and the Smithsonian. It's also right next to a Metro station for travel to anywhere beyond your walking range. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, as you would expect from the Hilton brand, and all service was very good. We would happily stay here again.

From the first day to the last, the staff -- front desk clerks, room cleaning staff, dining room waitstaff, everyone -- were SO personable and friendly, I almost couldn't believe it! The hotel was very clean, safe, and easily accessible to everything we had planned. I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else, if we ever return to Washington DC. Do not know why, I had to change door/elevator card for 4 times! Hotel provides coffee, tea, cold drink and cookie for free. Do not park in the expensive hotel parking lot. This is a typical Hilton Garden Inn. Nothing too fancy, average - but that's what you expect and you don't get any surprises. The best thing about this hotel is the location, 14th and Eye St, next to Franklin Sq., you're right downtown. The McPherson Sq. Metro station is across the street so it's easy to get where ever you need to. If the weather's nice it's a 20 minute walk up 14th St. to all the bars and restaurants.

My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn near 14th and I Street, is always a very pleasant experience. I have stayed at this hotel almost exclusively on my trips to WDC over the past nine years. The staff is always friendly, professional and they always make me feel welcomed from the minute I walk through the door.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while on some business in DC, and were pleasantly surprised with the level of service. With the exception of the young lady at the front desk (i won't use her name here, as i don't want her to be fired) not knowing where the "Smithsonian Museum" was located? Really? and you work where? Pretty pathetic, indeed!

I was here on business for 2 nights. It was a convenient walking distance to the Convention Center. Staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. The gym was small. Parking is expensive (probably in D.C. in general). I would consider staying here again.

Although we generally love our stays at Hilton, this hotel was not good. Be prepared for a hard an uncomfortable bed and couch, non-views from the window, and lackluster bathroom. The staff was wonderful, but that was mitigated by the fact you practically need to take out a loan to park there AFTER you have already paid for your hotel stay. Location was good for seeing tourist attractions, but not worth the lack of sleep due to discomfort and the expense of having to park your car.

Located in the heart of the city, this hotel has quick access to sights, monuments, shops and the best restaurants ! Service is good, staff is friendly and rooms are very clean. They have a tiny store which takes care of your immediate food and medical needs. Also, next to the hotel is a Pret a Manger and diagonally opposite is a Starbucks! Overall, the location of the hotel is most convenient when in Washington DC !!

This hotel is right across the street from a metro stop and close enough to all the major attractions. The beds are memory foam (which I didn't find very comfortable). The hotel staff were efficient and professional.

Receptionists are friendly and room is clean. I like the dining area and work out facility is good. The reason why I cannot give 4 or 5 stars is because of the noise. We are staying in a room facing the front street where car noises as well as bells from church or school continuously ring at night. My wife and I are having a difficult time sleeping. Kids are fine though.

Great location near white house, 14th street for a great price relative to other hotels in this area. Very attractive lobby and friendly staff. Rooms facing 14th st can definitely hear the traffic. I was on the 10th floor and it was still noticeable.

Recently stayed 4 nights in a two room suite. Very friendly and helpful staff. Especially James helped with our reservations and the concierge, Kevin, was very helpful with sightseeing activities. Especially for our 8 year old grandson. Very well located for all the monuments and downtown sites. Room service was a little pricey but good and the indoor pool was a nice perk. And the weather was perfect for the middle of November in the 70's.

I recommend this location to anywhere that's visiting the Washington DC area. You wont be disappointed. The pool was my son favorite part. His birthday falls in November so thank you guys for making his pool party such a blast. See you next time.

Was in a good location, walking distance to a lot of places. Clean room, friendly staff, breakfast was just ok and pricey. Our room was not ready at check in time after the long ride to DC that was very disappointing. It also had no view for the price of a suite $$ would should have seen something more than a brick wall.....most time wait for car was much more than the state 10-15 minutes.........

Beautiful hotel conveniently located directly across street from Metro train station. My daughter and I came for a 3-day stay using the BigBus Hop-on-Hop-off for our local transportation. We were so relieved when we exited the Metro station and found our hotel was right in front of us! Definitely no need for a car for us..friendly and helpful staff, really nice clean rooms. Would definitely stay again here!

Can be used as a stay over hotel, lobby is not suitable for business meetings as there are too many tourists and noise in the small area which is directly linked to the bar and "restaurant". Hotel is well located for tourist experiences in walking distance.

The courtesy of the workers was extremely professional and courteous, the location was great for ease of getting to attractions however there was a place across the street where the homeless too refuge at night it was very saddening to see this and didn't expect it . Then the second night at the hotel we did not get much rest because we were on the sixth floor and there was a homeless man in the bus stop all night hollering and bugging out. Also I noticed the sound proofing in the hotel could u... Read more

I have stayed at other Hilton Garden inns and they have really hit the mark for excellency in a mid-priced offering. This one in Washington DC was no exception. They have a modest restaurant, a mini-store for buying snacks and things, and their rooms are spacious, and spotless. Overall, you can't go wrong with staying here or at other Hilton Garden Inns.
