Great location for Nationals game. Some construction with buildings next door but wasn't an issue. Hotel is clean and rooms were great. We had the ballpark view room since we were there for Nationals game. Not a great view of the park but still a view. Spacious room.

Arrived at check in 3:00 pm and was told room would not be ready for 45 min at least / even though I called 4 hours earlier and they told me it would be ready at 2:00 pm. It was evident that I was not the only one because the lobby was filled with people waiting. After going to a local bar we came back 1.5 hours later and room was ready, but it was obvious that we were the lucky ones because there were still a lot of people waiting. The second problem was there was not enough food at breakfast o... Read more

Clean hotel located very close to the Marine barracks. Lots of current construction going on in the area. When the area is finished it will be less noisy. We really enjoyed the area, it's 1 block from the metro and very close to lots of fun things to do. Right across the street from the Washington National stadium. We enjoyed our stay. Our maid service slacked a bit, we didn't get service 2 out of 3 days and had to request towels. The free breakfast is near impossible to get to. There is no room... Read more

This is a probably one of the most well kept secrets in DC. This hotel has monster views from their rooftop lounge looking right into the Nationals Park. You can literally watch a game live and never leave your hotel. That said, as I was there for business, I had no time to enjoy a game and it was more of a nag than anything. I had chosen its location on having to do business with DCTC just 1.8 miles away. On my arrival, on a game day, I had parked my car with the valet. I went up to drop ... Read more

We tour national league baseball stadiums, and this was right next door to Nationals ballpark. MANY points for that. In a sketchy neighborhood, but tons of new construction all around the hotel and stadium. No place to self park so you are stuck paying $43 per night to valet park. The staff was very nice, the rooms are on the small side but very clean and nice looking. When I reserved this room the description was for a suite with seperate sitting area and fold out couch. When we arrived we were given a very small King room. When I asked the desk clerk about it , she was not sympathetic at all. She stated that the hotel was sold out and this was the room they had. There was also a large construction project in the building next door, starting work with heavy machinery around 7am and lasting all day.

This hotel is close to the Capitol and is a good price compared to most DC hotels. The room itself was very nice (more modern than I'm used to at a Hampton Inn, which was good), but there is absolutely no cell phone reception in the hotel. When I complained at the front desk, they just shrugged it off and acknowledged that their cell phones don't work in the building either. Also, the website doesn't say they have construction going on, but they are giving out earplugs at the front desk. While I... Read more

The most important part of this hotel to know is, if there is a Nationals game going on, you cannot get to the front of the hotel. Perhaps if you beg one of the policemen and say you are valet parking you can, but it will cost you. Plan accordingly!!! Otherwise the location is perfect for the game and the Metro is about a block away to get to all the sites. We stayed 2 nights. This hotel might be great if you are going to see the Nationals, but not if you plan to get to sleep before 11:30. Earplugs didn't even drown out the noise from the fans, the bands, and the rogue musicians playing in the streets. There is, however, a fantastic view of the stadium from the hotel rooftop deck!!! Don't even need tickets to watch the game. Close to metro and all the waterfront restaurants and food trucks are within a couple blocks. Breakfast was sub-par for a Hilton and it seems the... Loved this hotel- literally right next door to the Nationals stadium, we felt very safe walking back to the hotel with our kids since it was so close. The decor is beautiful- the rooms have some type of laminate/wood floor instead of typical hotel room carpet, which we loved! So clean and modern. The breakfast was decent, and an excellent price to be this close to the stadium and for the quality of the hotel. We were there on July 4th and found the breakfast area crowded with people with almost no food. There were no utensils and they even ran out of coffee. Very modern, excellent facility, room and location. Noteworthy: A/C did not de-humidify the hot summer air well. Breakfast area was overrun (height of tourist season). There is no off-street load/unload area (it's curbside) and parking is insanely expensive (we used the Metro Rail). But all in all, this is a super hotel, and a really good location, especially for tourism and proximity to DCA airport. Recommended.

Even better, you can watch the game on the jumbotron from any of the rooms facing the stadium from your very own room! The rooms are very nice and include a 180 degree television screen that you can swivel to wa... Read more

Very convenient for Nats baseball games! You can enjoy watching batting practice from the rooftop bar. You can also post-game celebrate at the rooftop bar. Be advised that there is mandatory valet parking at this hotel. We had a great stay and enjoyed the Nats game.

This survey way to long. I took it because i know that it is helpful to the hotel, but this has taken me a good 10 minutes, a survey should at 5 max. I had to switch rooms because my toilet was broken, and there was a construction worker singing out my window at 6am. I liked the gym, and the location. Wished it was closer to the mall. Oh, and its very difficult for uber drivers to find your location, maybe you should fix that with uber.

New hotel, new location, and very new staff. Great view of the ballpark with a pretty awesome rooftop bar to boot. Room was simple but nicely trimmed for a Hampton Inn, the wifi wasn't half bad, and it's a block over from the Metro and close to all the new development going on in the area. All in all, it was the better of the three different hotels I've stayed at for the last 10 days, except for the part where no one knows I stayed there. Confused? So was I. And so was the staff, who insisted t... Read more

Stayed there for a second time back in August. New property adjacent to National's stadium. Very clean. Green friendly property as key must be inserted in a wall plate in room to activate some of the electrical services. Common Hampton breakfast choices. Rooftop bar was open on each of my trips. Valet parking only. At last trip, service was rude (both those working the afternoon when I checked in and the next morning when I checked out). And expensive. The service is a private company an... This hotel is desperately needed in the SE Washington DC area. Opening in May 2016, I stayed in it when it was basically new. The location is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They've put the basics together. There are some structural issues that need attention before they get worse, however. The AC in my room was leaking into the floor. We noticed this as we walked across the floor and puddles would appear. In a couple of months, this could turn to mold. Likewise, the rust stains... Read more

In short: The standard rooms are too small The bedding is horrible (unless you like flat pillows and a rock mattress, even though the staff agrees with the bad pillows, they do not have firm ones to use) The staff is indifferent to helping you (like getting an answering machine in housekeeping with no response when you need toilet tissue) The 6AM construction daily is a nice alarm clock - But the bar on the rooftop has a great view of the stadium and an incredible staff (drink enough and you wo... I pick this hotel because it was close to the baseball stadium, come to find out it is across the street from each other. The hotel is new as of May 2016 and you could still smell the newness of it. The bar on the top floor came with a wonderful view. Only down falls I found of this hotel was they seemed under staff (front desk phone was ringing non stop and had 3 people to check in with only 1 front desk agent) and my room faced a construction project and started at 7 am. This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The thing that blew me away was how nice staff were. These days, you don't really encounter the kind of customer service that we received at the Hampton. This hotel was nice. It is surrounded by construction which made it slightly difficult for us to find at first. All in all it was a nice stay, with free breakfast and there is even a roof bar with a view of the stadium.

The hotel was very clean and very conveniently located near Nats Park, lots of restaurants, the Anacostia River Walk, the Navy Yard and Metro stops. The rooftop bar has amazing views! Be aware though that when you pay for a ballpark view room that unless you are up on the 12th or 13th floor you cannot see into the ballpark. This hotel is surrounded by new construction; to walk to the entrance, you must walk through areas which are under construction (including the sidewalks) so you walk on the street. Also, while I was there, local construction caused the water to need to be shut off - and our water was shut off without warning....for many hours. Unacceptable! Our stay to the Hampton Inn Navy Yards was met with mixed satisfaction. Upon arrival we were not aware of the construction nor the lack of free parking which caused us stress in regards to the safety of our vehicle. It's a great hotel. Very clean and elegant despite its lower prices. I got a great room with a really low budget. The only problem is that it only has one elevator and the day I was staying the power went out, and the breakfast is not the best, if you don't go down early, you would have to eat what's left - which is not good at all. But apart from that, it's an excellent place to stay, with a metro station close.
