I had a very pleasant stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites on H St. The hotel staff was amazingly friendly, especially Drew and the people on the evening shift. The hotel is located in an area with a lot of homeless people but I never felt unsafe, even walking alone in the evening. No one bothered me. The hotel itself was CLEAN. The main reason for the 4* rating was that the rooms are small, my room faced an office building so was kind of dark, the toilet "burped" at night (and even though I aske... Read more

There is not a thing wrong with this hotel except for maybe the neighborhood. The staff is so super friendly and helpful. The concierge was wonderful and always had a beautiful smile to greet you! The hotel is conveniently located in Chinatown, however the neighborhood leaves a little to be desired. Hotel is very clean and updated just be aware of your surroundings when venturing out.

The Fairfield Inn is conveniently located near Chinatown. It is close to Metro and walking to many downtown sites is reasonable, but not trivial. The hotel has no views of the city sites. My room faces the ally that separates it from the next building. Out the window is a wall. Room is clean, but showing some wear. Examples are rotated shower rod and dangling cord in pictures. Size is comfortable and well appointed. Rooms have a microwave and fridge. Chinatown markets and even a Safeway ... Read more

Free breakfast buffet was decent: not just the usual cold cereal and coffee. The staff was very kind, even when I arrived at 1:00 am looking bedraggled and carrying Walmart shopping bags. It was a rough trip and I was very tired. In the morning I couldn't find my valet parking stub right away, and they were very helpful with that as well. If you bring a car, parking can be expensive.Valet parking is $42 per day and is charged directly to your room, which isn't that much more expensive than area ... Read more

Where do I start? The minute I walked in the hotel the staff made me feel at home. The room was very comfortable and larger than anticipated. The room service was delicious and fast. The Irish Channel Pub provides the food service, and just an all around fun pub to hit for happy hour. I was only supposed to stay for 4 days but a family emergency came up. When I talked with the front desk about needing to extend my stay, they were very sensitive to my dilemma and were able to accommodate. ... Read more

The hotel has a great location. Its not far to walk to the white house and the mall. The room is also good, bit otherwise I'm a bit dissapointed since it was quite expensive. The breakfast was bad. Like in many american hotels the breakfast is all papermuggs and paperplates which you would never find in a swedish hotel. It feels very cheep. You couldnt even cut the french toast because they were so hard. And there was a man holding a speech at the breakfast which was a bit annoying. The cleanin... Read more

If you are attending a sporting event or concert at Verizon Center, this is a good hotel choice. The hotel is a very short, easy walk to the stadium. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, especially at night, but there is a good police presence. Our room was clean. The bed was uncomfortable for me-very hard mattress, but if you like a firm mattress, you will like that. Bathroom was fine. Free breakfast was good. When I checked in, the front desk clerk was very friendly, welcomed me as a Marriott Rewards member then promptly checked me in. When I confirmed my request for a room on a high floor away from the elevator, she froze and then said it was her 1st day. This is an average three star hotel on the fringe of Chinatown in Washington, D.C. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included. It's a block away from the Chinatown metro stop and a 15-20 minute walk away from the national mall. Only complaint is that they gave us a room that was already occupied and had to switch us out to another room. They were extremely apologetic about it.

Washington DC Fairfield Inn offers a clean and safe Marriott product in a good Chinatown location. Near GULC, Metro, Chinatown restaurants and the nearby arena. I went to this hotel with my kids. The room is clean, the staffs are nice, the breakfast is good, but the parking is tricky. If u use the hotel parking, it will cost around $40 per night. So I use the public parking spot in front of the hotel. At night from 10 pm til 7 in the morning is free. And from 9.30 afterwards u can pay with meter. So basically in the morning I went to monuments and came back at 9.30 for breakfast.
