The other reviews are accurate the hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and it is noisy at times. The room does buffer some of the noise and since I was out much of the day it did not bother me. My room was large, newly renovated and nicely appointed. The hot breakfast was great even though the omelet station was not available. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was with the internet which was likely due to the construction. Overall I had a great experience.

This hotel is undergoing a massive renovation in its entire lobby area. I'm sure it will be beautiful when complete but I would suggest another property in the interim! The rate does not commensurate with the current state of the property - not good for business travel for sure as is!

Room was great. Large and modern. Technology did not work and front desk attitude was, "hey, we called you two days before you trip and told you that water would be out a couple of days and that it would be noisy. What do you want?" Non-stop construction all day long, very poor food, no proactive information regarding alternative fitness center, tv/phone not working so had to come down to front desk with issues. A shame, the rooms were very nice. Had to find another hotel in the middle of my st... Read more

When I arrived late (due to a delayed flight), I was asked if I had been notified of the construction which encompassed the entire lower floor and outdoor area (the taxi couldn't even drive up to the door and their was no one to assist at the door). I had not and they said it was because my number was wrong on my reservation (I checked, it wasn't). Given the time of night, I had no choice to stay that evening. Close to the attractions as well. The hotel were under renovation that cause a lot of Internet problems. The staff were good and helpful. The breakfast was good.

The rooms are nice and the location is convenient, but at least while is under construction it's not a great experience. The promised pool at the neighboring property doesn't exist. The check-in process is surprisingly inefficient and complicated (park car, wait for elevator for 8th floor, check-in on 8th, room likely on other floor, return to car with parking pass at another hotel), as is the reception and breakfast (Breakfast on 8, but reception on 5). You end up spending lots of time waiting ... Read more

I love this hotel, however I was not expecting the $100 security deposit. The front desk clerk didn't mention it at all so when I checked my bank account I was surprised to see another $100 added to my bill. I would've given them another card to hold instead if I had known that. Other than that the room was very clean and spacious. I would stay here again

The location of this hotel is superb, very near to Dupont and Foggy Bottom-GWU stations. There's a bunch of restaurants, convenience stores (Walgreens, CVS), and even grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's) nearby. Our room was very spacious and newly renovated. Unfortunately, the hotel lobby is currently undergoing major construction. Pool is closed. I knew going in that there were some renovations underway. They didn't negatively impact my experience. Thankfully, they didn't start the work until 8a or so. There were accommodations made to continue breakfast in the morning and the manager's reception in the evenings, which are hallmarks of Embassy Suites. I have always loved Embassy stays, until this time. I was made aware of the construction ahead of time and decided to still stay. The construction didn't start until 7:30 am so that was fine. Only complaint was the construction - wish I would had know about it prior to our stay, the pictures online show the renovation which looks spectacular but when we arrived realized they were the artist rendition and renovations were not complete. We enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites. The bedroom had a door to isolate from the living room area, which had a very comfortable foldout sofa. The room served us very well during our visit to DC. Cab fare to the national mall area was about $12, and a Metro station is a short walk away. Nice hotel, but lobby area and garage are being renovated and under construction. I am surprised they let guests stay in the hotel until the lobby was completed. Nice people. There is no room service, restaurant or convenience store. Had to go to the hotel next door to get food. The free breakfast and happy hour made up for it though. The room smelled like feet but other than that it's alright. The rooms all face each which is different but not bad.

The Embassy Suited Georgetown is a great hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the remodel was fantastic. My room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was quick, had lots of coffee with an open, airy environment. I used a taxi - so I am not sure how close the hotel is to the nearest metro stop. It is a quick walk to Georgetown if you are looking for lots of action and shopping. Foodwise - you may want to consider turning left out of the hotel (opposite G-town) for more uniq... Read more

I recently spent a weekend at the Embassy Suites. I love staying at Embassy Suites, because of all the extra room, having two room suites is great to relax and spread out. Also really enjoy the extensive buffet / made to order breakfasts that are included in the room price. I was in a remodeled room, and it was very nice and well appointed. Yes, the hotel is in the middle of renovations. Yes, traveling with kids and no pool is a pain. Painful, parking at the RItz, but cheaper than Embassy Suites. However, from the bellman who greeted us in the pull out, to the last person who said good-bye as we left, was nothing but "100% How can we make our guests happy and enjoy their stay?!" I always choose Embassy Suites and have had great success/satisfaction, but was disappointed not to be notified that the restaurant, parking garage and pool were all under construction. It was a 2 block walk to the parking, which was not pleasant during the heat wave. Staff however, made it right and refunded our 2nd two prepaid nights so we could go elsewhere. I would have chosen another Embassy Suites but they were sold out by the time I checked in here to find the inconveniences.
