The hotel is clean and centrally located to most of the sights. The staff was friendly and professional and very helpful. The only thing that kept this hotel from a five is the rooms are on the small side and my bathroom door was broken. Otherwise a good stay and I would stay here again.

This was my second time staying at the hotel. The hotel has great rates, its close to the metro, and it has parking if you are renting a car. The staff is pleasant and the rooms are clean. We stayed in the family room which has bunk beds, two tvs, and a microwave/fridge combo. The master bed was ok to sleep on. Beyond that it is scarce on other amenities but our primary objective was to sleep and go so it worked well.

After staying in this hotel for a week, I would rate this hotel 2.5 stars if possible. The Pros: Good location with quick access to the metro. Lower price than many of the nearby hotels. Spacious room which included refrigerator and microwave. Clean room and bathroom. Great bakery right next to the hotel. Friend staff at entrance. The Cons: The room initially had a bad order (maybe wet carpet) the first few days. WiFi connection was awful. I couldn't get a connection in my room on the Iphon... Read more

Once we found the 3 roaches staying in our room with us. We promptly left the hotel. In general, the hotel is run down, but seemed clean until we found the roaches... We were in DC over memorial day weekend, so we thought we would save $100/ night by staying there, since it is such an expensive hotel price weekend. We left and went to the Marriot. There was NO comparison. At our request, the manager agreed to refund our money and was very understanding.

The rooms are dated. The carpeting in the hallways were filthy. The towels were very hard. The management company needs to invest in some much needed renovations. The location of the hotel is in a very nice neighborhood and the hotel accommodations should be reflective of that. The hotel staff at the registration counter were very professional and accommodating.

The location was convenient, but there was no breakfast, spring was broke in my bed so it was uncomfortable. Parking was 23.40 per night which wasn't disclosed before I booked. I actually changed from a less expensive, higher rate in stars, free breakfast and free encloses parking, because this one was closer - had I gotten all of their accurate information- this absolutely would have altered my decision to stay here.

I stayed at Days Inn for 5 nights on a recent visit to Washington DC. The hotel is located just two blocks away from the Van Ness - UDC metro station which is a great plus because you can take a 15 min train ride (Red line) to downtown Metro Centre. It's got own car park at a price. However, getting to the hotel from either IAD or National airports is not easy if you want a cheaper option. I took a shared ride on super shuttle for $35 (one way) but it nearly took one hour to reach the hotel duri... Read more

This hotel is great for what we needed it for. It was between downtown and the Strathmmore Music Center where we spent a good deal of our time. It is only 0.2 of a mile from the Van Ness red line metro station. There is a grocery store, CVS, restaurants and a Golds Gym all within that same distance. We had the family fun room which consisted of a King size bed and a set of bunk beds which was great for 4 friends traveling together. The bathroom is small, there is not much of a closet but it... Your staff was great kind and always helpful. The hotel needs some up keep work. The carpet needs to be replaced or a least cleaned throughout the hotel. Even in the room I stayed in the bed and bathroom was nice and cleanbut the carpet was dirty.I enjoyed the gift shop as well.I continued my stay due it was convent because my young son was at a leadership conference and it allow me to be close to him. We booked this hotel because of its location. The reception area and check-in were ok. The whole hotel is very worn. The hallway outside our room smelled horribly. The room was clean but in need of updating. We had a large refrigerator and microwave which was convenient. Our stay lasted 5 nights. On the last night it was so loud we didnt sleep at all.

Great if all you need is a place to sleep. Safe neighbourhood, nice local restaurants next door and across the street. Two blocks from a metro station. My best move was to buy a metro pass on the first day. One gets a better feel for the local culture than in a taxi. Staff was polite. Rooms were bare minimum. No refrigerator or microwave. I slept well on the 6th (top) floor facing the back of the building where there was less noise than in front facing the street. I would go back because of the ... Read more

Stayed 3 nights in July 2016. Place is VERY close to a Metro station that takes you downtown in 12 minutes, but less expensive because it's not located in the city center... also restaurants and pharmacy and supermarket close by. They somehow managed to not clean my room one day, but other than that I'd totally recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The king room was very spacious. We need a roll away bed and it was easily accommodated with still plenty of room l. Overall, better than we expected and no complaints.

The only reason my rating is ‚??Poor‚?? instead of ‚??Terrible‚?? is because the lobby was decent. I thought staying in a hotel on a major strip in D.C. would be a good bet; well, not in this case! This place is in need of a major overhaul. The carpets were filthy throughout the hotel and the ceilings were even dirty. The next day we asked a different member of staff who told us we would have to pay for half a day or Coke back at 3pm and move our car (2 subways from center). We paid the $11.80 purely for the convinence. We were not given another tag and therefore probably did not even need to pay. Very disappointed that we have to pay for extra 'half day'... Read more

The location of this hotel is excellent - short walk to Van Ness metro station (red line) and close to a number of good restaurants. It's also a reasonable walk to the zoo.
