My wife and I were in DC for a wedding and to visit our adult daughter who's office is near here and who lives not far away. We have lived in and worked in the northern VA, D.C. area before but had never been to this hotel. What a great place. It is conveniently located, the hotel is very up-to-date and comfortable, the staff is excellent and it is within easy distance of everything. We recommend it highly and look forward to our next stay soon. One super nice part is that there is a Star Bucks ... Read more

Didn't get a great feeling when bellman took my tip after grabbing my bag from me and just took it into to reception and disappeared while waiting for late room and I had to bring it up myself. Got to room and there is a leak in the toilet leaving a pool around the bowl. The A/C needed adjusting by the engineer as it was blowing in hot air with it nearly 80 degrees outdoors. Doors sound very noisy in the halls. Not exactly my idea of a great place to be.

My family and I stayed here last week, and I was so pleased with the choice. The hotel is scaled perfectly for us ‚?? not cavernous and crowded, but rather cozy, well-lit and very clean. I would TOTALLY stay here again. It was a short walk from here to the action, with lots of big city stuff in between. Super easy to find on the way back, too, because we could just remember it was across from the park. Great location. We stayed in room 1232, almost the top floor, in two doubles. The beds wer... I have stayed at this hotel several times, and have always liked it. However this time, my room was next to the elevator (despite my preference profile asking for a room far from the elevator). Every time the elevator passed by, it sounded like a car speeding over speedbumps - very detrimental to good sleep! It woke me up several times. Otherwise, given the hotel's location and supportive staff, it would have been a good stay!

Stayed here for four nights as my husband is IHG platinum elite on the 12th floor. We had a corner room which was light and had lovely decor. The mattresses, as in other Crowne Plazas are the best. The lobby was freezing every time we entered. We dined at the restaurant which was nice but could do with some specials for some variety. Five minute walk to McPherson Metro and 10 minute to the White House. Not sure about the two interruptions during the evenings asking if we wanted ice or chocolates... Read more

I will start by saying that we stayed at this hotel because of a deal on Hotwire.com - because of that, we were given the worst room in the hotel to start with. After asking for a better view, we got a beautiful room with a view. The employees at the front desk and the housekeeping staff were wonderful. The doormen were helpful and friendly. The hotel is only a short walk to all the main sights, in a lovely part of town. The room we stayed in was a 'queen' and so had a lovely large and comfortable bed, but no minibar and very average quality TV reception. (Lots of interference). The room was very well presented though and very clean / well decorated. Whilst we knew the hotel would be expensive, given the location and quality, we weren't expecting it to cost $53 per day to park the car. We were on the second floor, but had no issu... Read more

When I made the reservation it was for a lower floor. I then received an email from IHG or the hotel to upgrade to a higher floor with a view for only $8 more per day. When I arrived I was told that they never received the request and stated it would be $20 per night. I will say the room was a nice view of the Washington Monument and I did tell them I found the confirmation email, but that did not reduce it to $8 per night. Good hotel let down by lack of maid service hence my 3 star rating instead of four. Reception staff were welcoming on arrival and we were allocated a queen room on the 2nd floor which was clean and tidy and a reasonable size. No view out of the window as it looked inwards onto a pebbled area and then the other rooms. Good choice at breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, cake, toast, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes etc, you could also have an omelette made or ask for poached/boiled egg. Wa... Read more

Situated very nicely for all areas around Washington DC the Crowne Plaza ticks most of the boxes. Our room for two nights was well presented, being clean & tidy. Free WiFi is the norm. Our room had coffee making facilities, fridge & microwave, as well as flat screen TV. Stayed 5 nights in Sept 2016. Had a room on the 11th floor, nice and quiet With 4 available elevators we very rarely had to wait long for a ride. A very busy hotel but there were no queues for the bar or restaurants. Very attentive and friendly staff. The room was kept spotless. Perfect spot for sightseeing whether walking or using the Metro. On leaving, the the car was returned to the Hotel front exactly on time. Would certainly return to this Hotel.
