I think I've found my favorite hotel! The location was perfect. I was able to walk to the Dupont Metro station and the metro station on U Street. There was lots of shopping close by, the Zoo was about a mile away, the embassies were near, there was every kind of restaurant you can think of in walking distance. The staff was friendly and inviting. There was a nice lounge where I had breakfast in the morning and drinks at night. I had a beautiful view from my room of the national Monument and the ... If you are attending an event at the Washington Hilton, consider staying at the Courtyard. The rooms are just as nice. Good food and seating areas. (I had a breakfast one morning and it was excellent.) Nice and capable staff. It is a quieter hotel. Best of all, the hallways aren't a "mile" long. The cost of the Courtyard is also more reasonable. This hotel is within walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants and about four blocks from the DuPont Circle Metro Station. If you like... Read more

I was in DC for a Realtor Conference where the attendees were spread out in many different hotels. I was placed here and it was wonderful. I was away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were fabulous. All were willing to help. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. And I could see the Washington Monument from my window. I took a wonderful walk around my hotel and realized I was near embassy row. The only complaint I had was the limited menu at the bar.

Arrived in the evening hours to a friendly front desk gentleman. He was very helpful with giving parking option suggestions. Very respectful and informative about renovation information and times. Room was clean, fast WiFi, and excellent housekeeping service. Bistro menu was great and delicious. Thanks Darrell Trice.

Loved this hotel. Looks updated/new. Small, but comfortable, clean rooms; very nice bed. We had a terrific view from the 8th floor facing the Washington Monument. Super staff; especially the front desk/check-in. In a really nice area of Dupont Circle; quiet, but close to the shops, restaurants, and transportation - just what we were looking for. Would return here in a heartbeat.

Great staff, rooms that are more compact than I have experienced at other Courtyards, but comfortable nonetheless. My room had a king size bed, and a club chair flanking it. The desk and chair at the end of the desk were tight - if you pushed back in the desk chair you'd hit the end of the bed. Floor to ceiling windows looking south were a great touch providing nice views of the Washington Monument and other DC landmarks. Floors higher up take advantage of being up on a hill - and odd numbere... Read more

This hotel is just a short cab ride from all the monuments/Arlington Cemetery areas. Since it was a little further out, the room rates were lower and even though we had to take cabs, we still saved money. The area was beautiful with Washington architecture and numerous restaurants within walking distance. Had a neighborhood feeling with locals out and about walking their dogs and taking walks. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly and professional. Never a problem getting a cab. Breakfa... Read more

We spent 3 nights at the Courtyard and found it to be an excellent hotel. We always use Marriott hotels when possible because they are predictable in what they deliver -- high standards. PROS: great staff at front desk (pleasant, helpful, happy attitude); good breakfast sandwich from Bistro; water available in lobby and cookies late afternoon. Clean, pleasant room with good wi-fi. Bus to downtown is almost in front hotel --- very convenient once we learned the route. CONS: This is not a c... Read more

We stayed here due to the close proximity to our daughter's apartment. This is a 5 block walk downhill to the DuPont Metro/Red Line. We purchased the non refundable rate through Expedia to save $$, I would do this again. I was impressed with the proximity to restaurants in Adams/Morgan, DuPont, and the Woodley Park Areas. Lots of ethnic fare, standard Starbucks, bagels shops, pizza joints, a Buca and Chipotle. We love walking so we tended to walk to the Capitol Mall, 20-30 minute walk for us... Read more

The whole staff went above and beyond for me while I was staying there on a business trip. From getting me checked in early to helping me find amazing places to eat. I would stay here again in a heart beat! I have never been so pleased with a hotel I stayed at.

I stayed at the Courtyard Washington during recent business trip. It is clean, secure, and affordable. Most importantly, it is located at DuPont Circle near a multitude of restaurants and shopping options.

What hotel in DC has pricing at the national average? None. Taking the outrageous price aside, I recommend to anyone. Places to walk in evening. Right across from BATF national HQ. I would expect to be safe. Some distance from points of business. Staff were friendly and helpful.

If you have luggage and are coming from the Metro stop, look for the exit at the front of the train (coming from south/downtown), much shorter walk. It's uphill though, be aware. This is a newer, modern hotel. The room was very comfy with a flat screen TV. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but being so close to the metro, it's very convenient to everything. It's another 10/15 min walk to the Addams Morgan neihghborhood where there are great pubs and restaurants. We'll likely be going bac... Read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our staycation here, and it has quickly become our favorite Courtyard property. My husband and I work in the hotel industry and we're delighted to have our first 7/4 off in recent memory. Modern, spotless rooms, friendly staff, great water pressure, and our room had a great view of the fireworks. We will be back!

Stayed here for 1 night. The staff was very nice, the lobby was clean and modern. I liked the cookies and water out for people to take. The room was average. Just what you would expect from a courtyard property. The location is also perfect if you are looking to walk around by the monuments.

Nice 2nd floor patio area and very close to dining / drinking options. Located between the Metro Red Line Dupont Circle and Woodley Park stations. The room was small but clean and there was a fridge. Plenty of electrical outlets too. The lobby area is also very nice.

Rather a typical Courtyard hotel, just up the hill from Dupont Circle. Rooms are reasonably modern and well appointed. Free wifi, nice but small lobby. Nice little amenities like cookies and fresh water with fruit slices in the lobby. If possible, avoid inside rooms on 3rd floor, since that's the pool level and can't keep curtains open.

Had a meeting and this was the closest Marriott brand to it. Everything was great. Front desk staff was friendly. Room was one of the smallest Courtyard rooms I've ever had. Door opened into the closet and you could conveniently reach the bathroom from the bed. But, it's not atypical for a city room, and it had adequate space for anything one might need to do. Room was well appointed. Good bed. Good shower. Lots of good pillows. Good towels. Two dings: paper coffee cups (seriously fol... Read more

This was our first stay at this hotel. We have stayed in many Marriott hotels in DC and all of them have been great. We picked this one for the location to Dupont Circle. It is so convenient to the Metro and Dupont Circle in general. We walked everywhere from here. The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful. Every time we came back to the hotel the valet greeted us and offered us cold water (it was the hottest weekend of the year, of course). There was always flavored water in the lobby ... Read more

Spent two nights here with the family upon arrival from an intercontinental flight. The hotel has a good location, it is within walking distance to the main attractions of Washington DC (for those who consider walking 20 minutes oneway "walking distance") and it's also close to public transportation. Staff was friendly throughout our stay and clearly wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time. Parking can be troublesome if you don't do valet parking. The rooms certainly are the newes... Pros: 1) Check-in and check-out were both extremely easy. 2) The rooms are nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and seemed to be relatively new. I also liked that you can watch Netflix and Hulu (logging into my own account) easily through the Internet TV option. 3) The staff were all very friendly, no matter the hour. Cons: 1) There was a wet spot on the carpet in my room, but since I didn't spend that much time there, it wasn't a huge problem. 2) Part of the non-slip pad in the bathtub no... Read more

If you are visiting Washington DC, whether for business or on a vacation with family, this hotel is an ideal location. With many local restaurants within walking distance, good access to the Metro and reasonable fares from Uber to most points of interest, you would be hard pressed to find a better spot. I have meetings several times a year at the Washington Hilton and never noticed this Courtyard literally across the street. I'm glad I did. Very friendly staff (valet, check in and at The Bistro). Bed was a little softer than other Courtyards but still got a good nights sleep. Entrance for parking is very tricky. Be sure to call for exact directions on the entrance or you'll be circling the block like I did. Valet has in and out privileges. Lots of restaurants in walking distance.

Would stay here again. Hotel is about 5 blocks north of DuPont Circle Metro which is not a big deal, but we were there during the heatwave this week. Just took it slow and it was fine. This neighborhood was delightful and friendly. Absolutely loved Maddy's for dinner about 2 blocks south. Hotel staff was friendly and we loved having the cafe serving Starbucks in the lobby. Our room was comfortable and clean. With the metro nearby, it's an easy location to get around the city.

I stayed for four nights at this Marriott. The staff were wonderful, the accommodations were good. However, the restaurant was a Bistro, which I found out meant an extremely limited menu. There was only one item on the menu for dinner, which was quite good, but, again, was only one item. This is an older hotel, with smaller rooms. Still love Marriott tho!

Thank you so much for your support and the support of your wonderful staff during our stay at your hotel last week. First and foremost, I am aware that we planned our meetings and accompanying accommodations with extremely short notice. I recently stayed at the Marriott Courtyard at Dupont Circle. The hotel was conveniently located and was stylishly decorated. It was very quiet and clean. The room was very small, but was sufficient for two. It would be interesting if 4 people were in the room and all needed to use the small bathroom. The bed was ultra comfortable and was a welcome sight after a long day of sightseeing. It is close to the Metro Station, but make sure you exit the Metro station at the Q Street end. A bit of... Usually we stay at the Marriott Maquis (which is a 10/10) but this time around we thought we would try something new, which I quickly regretted. This hotel was fine, there wasn't anything too special about it. The entrance is a pain, it's a one way in and if you miss the entrance be prepared to take a five to ten minute drive around DuPont Circle until you make it in a circle back to the entrance. We stayed here on a quick overnight to DC. We arrived very late so we literally slept and left early the next morning. The bed was comfortable and the room we had was quite large and clean. The reception staff was very quick and efficient and had us ready to go when we arrived at 11:45pm.
