I have stayed at Club Quarters in Chicago and Houston and the DC location so this was a return visit. The CQ are consistently clean, with nice amenities but nothing fancy. The rooms are small but have everything you need, a good quality bed, Keurig, nice TV, etc. unless you plan to spend a lot of time in it, which I don't! This particular location is right next door to a metro stop and is walking distance to the mall and monument area. Added bonus.... the Renwick Gallery is one block away and sh... Read more

The location is excellent right next to the White House. The public transport is plenty and very close. The room was confortable and clean. Overall a very good stay. The only part I did not like was the attitude of the person at reception that charged me a USD50,00 for me to have access to the room at 10:00 am, instead of 1 pm.

The location of the hotel is great - in the heart of the capitol. We enjoyed our stay, albeit a very short stay. The next time we stay in DC we'll be back here and check out the restaurant, as well. The room was on the smaller side, but very comfortable and had every amenity that we needed - including a "K-cup" coffee maker! (One note: if both of us had wanted tea, we would have been out of luck since only one tea bag was in the bundle. That's probably solvable by a call to the front desk.) We ... Read more

Very good location. Centrally located to a lot. Ubers are easily accessible, as are taxis. Located right next to the metro station which was very convenient for our trip to Nationals Stadium and Arlington National Cemetery. We booked a room with a queen bed (which we have a home). This was NOT a queen bed, it was a full. I e-mailed the hotel and the front desk called me and said that corporate called them about my email. Great location, plenty to do. Smallish rooms but I guess that's standard in DC. Well maintained, older property but everything worked fine. Go for a coffee and paper on the second floor, neat machine to brew your own. No complaints, so we were pleased with our overall with our 3 nights.

This is a great place to stay just for the location alone. It is a older hotel, rooms are small. Everything seemed to work fine, however, the layout at least of my room and the rooms of my colleagues was a little odd. There were some things which were looking slightly worn, but I would definitely stay here again. The staff seemed very helpful and attentive.

The room I stayed in was the smallest room I've ever paid money to stay in. Queen bed. Desk. Chair and barely room to walk between the two and out the door. The really bad parts: - The mattress was lopsided and all positions eventually dumped you into the sink hole. - The only window looked out into a 6 x 6 foot area in between buildings with no obvious means of escape if there was a fire. Felt very claustraphobic. - The bathroom was moldy - The carpet was old and very dirty - Wifi is slowe... Read more

I booked online and had never seen the property. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the hotel early and was told I was in a "suite" and it wasn't available yet ... and then I actually got to the room. This is an average hotel room at best with a queen bed and a very uncomfortable sofa pullout. That being said, everything else about this hotel, including the staff and the espresso/coffee machine in the second floor lounge are excellent. The hotel's location is perfect, it is round the corner from the White House and a 15 minute walk to the Lincoln Memorial and the Mall. There are 2 metro stations nearby to take you all over DC, the bust stop is also useful especially to get to Georgetown. The Wi-Fi is free and very good. During the week there is free tea and coffee and M&Ms. There is also free purified water bottles and you can turn off and on the A/C (it is not centrally controlled as in other places).

Dirty towels were taken away and not replaced until we called housekeeping each day, The room wasn't clean when we arrived - dusty and not vacuumed well. We very much enjoyed this hotel. The only minor improvement I would suggest is that there could be tea making facilities as well as coffee, although the coffee was very nice. The hotel is very central to all the 'sights' but you need to travel out a way to find shopping. However, it was disappointing one day to find the housekeeper had not closed the door properly after cleaning the room.

Good atention, room silent, clean and confortable. Every as good as the expected before the arrival. Nothing bad to remark. The only thing to say as a "point to improve" is that the hotel should inform about the deposit od 50 USD per night. We stayed at the CQ for three nights. The staff were very friendly and responded to every request we made. The room was a Queen bed, it was "compact", not much hanging or draw space. The biggest problem was the lack of day light, we were facing into the middle of the building on the 6th floor, it was a strain to look up and even see the sky. On the plus side this made the room cooler, it was very hot outside, and it was quiet, no street noise. Just five minutes walk from the White House and... Read more

During a recent business trip to Washington DC I had to stay at the Club Quarters Hotel. The room we had was smaller than any place I ever stayed in. My family and I stayed here on a Friday night in September 2016. There is a rooftop club on the same block as this hotel. You will hear loud music and booming bass until after 3 AM in the morning. The club has a permit to do so so there is nothing you can do about it. So, unless you mind going to bed after 3 AM then don't stay here.

Unbeatable location, comfortable and some nice details (the cold water bottle dispenser, really appreciated given the summer heat !). One important downside is the absence of sound insulation, from the room you really hear cars, sounds and even distinctively people's conversation on the streets.

Perfect place to stay for business or exploring Washington DC. Close enough to explore walking all the major attractions or there is a train station 2mins walk. Plenty of choice for restaurants and bars nearby or the hotel's own bar and brasserie is excellent too. By far the stand-out was the helpfulness and charm of CQ staff. Including reception, house-keeping and restaurant. Fantastic!

Basic, clean hotel. Staff was friendly but only minimally. Booked and prepaid through a third party site and the original front desk member tried to charge me the cost of the room again but double checked with prompting and apologized for the mistake. Would have been nice if he checked that first rather that going through the motions and scaring us. The room was clean but very basic, nothing personalized and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Small stand up short and very little counter spac... Read more

Spent 4 wonderful days in Washington and was really pleased with my choice of hotel. I had stayed at Club Quarters in Chicago earlier in the year and enjoyed the stay. They are not a luxury hotel chain but are clean, comfortable, well located and good value which I place more emphasis on. Club Quarters Washington was ideally located for my visit - walking distance to the White House and National Mall and in a nice area. It was muggy weather however so I used the metro most days and again, this ... Read more

Very good location for visiting the sites and experiencing Washington. On the second floor there's a lounge, convenient for hot drinks and breakfast bars and fruit. With free wifi and printing facilities we could print our boarding passes for free.

If you're staying at this hotel- you're using it for it's central location to everything DC has to offer.. you wouldn't come here for the luxury or elegance of a hotel. It reminds me of a European hotel.. small rooms, smaller bathrooms, no views, older furnishings, small narrow hallways, and just two (slow) elevators. But if you're not going be spending much time in the room- this hotel works for you. Close to the White House and National Mall with the Metro station right next door. I will say t... Read more

Very good location for visiting the sites, White house is around the corner and after it the National Mall... 2 metro lines are right by the hotel giving you flexible transportation in the city... Only missing point for me is lack of breakfast within the price! Rooms are well maintained and equipped.

This is as close you can get to all sightseeing places. From the moment I arrived I was greeted, the staff helped with directions to and from the parking of the hotel. I came back to the hotel I was able to check in early. My room was facing the park, I can see all the food trucks and people hanging out. They have a vip room on the 2nd floor with coffee and teas.. I truly enjoyed this hotel as the staff made me feel very welcomed. They are pleasant and warm.

This is the third stay I've had here. Rooms are clean and minimally furnished. The location is fantastic. While staff and service is minimal, they are easy find and helpful. The Club Room on the 2nd floor is spacious with snacks, coffee and other comfort items. The gym is a major fail and (extremely cramped and not useable). For a few days of business, I've always been happy here

Was in DC to visit schools in the area (Howard, George Washington, U. Maryland). Hotel was centrally located for these visits and sight seeing, Got a suite. No division/door between living area/sofa bed and sleeping area as most hotels have. Otherwise no complaints. Room was small but comfortable. Luggage check service available before check in which was great. Two blocks from White House. Couple blocks from National Mall. Parking garage attached to hotel (pricey). Lots of food options ... Right next to the metro. Within walking distance to Foggy Bottom, the Mall, Starbucks, restaurants, and other popular areas. Small rooms, but they are clean and comfortable. Has a fountain to fill/refill water bottles with chilled, filtered water for free. Friendly, helpful staff.
