Just back from spending 10 days in DC at this hotel on holiday. As for location it is excellent about 5 to 6 minutes from The White House, about 15 minute from the National Mall and the Metro entrance is at the end of the block. There are plenty of restaurants around there area but the hotel also has a very nice restaurant and a Starbucks in the hotel. Regarding the staff from reception to housekeeping are very friendly and helpful but if I had too single out one member it would be Kirstin on t... Read more

I could hear my neighbors at night. They weren't very loud just thin walls. Evening Concierge offers were not the normal Marriott quality. They cpuld have not offered anythong and it would have fared the hotel better. It definitely need an upgrade. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff was most helpful. Doorman was great. Ideal location for downtown but homeless just a few steps away from front door didn't make me feel safe. This doesn't compare to the JW Marriott. If you can get reservations there t... Read more

Stayed in this hotel for three nights (work and leisure travel combined). Loved the location - short walk to the conference center where I spend day one, and very short walks to a number of attractions. Three blocks away from the White House, maybe a 10 minute walk to the National Mall. We were originally planning on doing a trolley or a bus tour but ended up walking everywhere and loved it. The room was above my expectations: comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, plenty of storage and extra towel... Read more

The staff was helpful and courteous, the restaurant was easy to use and there was a Starbucks in the lobby. As Marriott rewards members, we had free wifi and several other perks. We noticed that the doormen had cabs available each time we went out to visit the museums. With the restaurants in the a... Read more

We just spent four nights on the twelfth floor of the Marriott Metro Center. Checking in and out was easy and the room was clean and pleasant. Because we're Marriott 'members' we received free WiFi and a discounted room rate. The WiFi was strong and constant; we had no buffering problems (hear that Charter?). We bought the breakfast package. The food was good, with weekend buffets; during weekdays, we were allowed to select up to $28 each from the breakfast menu. The service was fair. Fri... Read more
