We stayed here during a week in DC right around Christmas time, so the city and the hotel were overall pretty quiet, and the rate was very low (so I was unsure what to expect). The room we had was recently updated and was quite comfortable. The Bathroom is a touch small, but nowhere near a deal breaker. The hotel associates we dealt with were great. The hotel is located very close to the Woodley Park / Adam Morgan Metro station and is just a few blocks away from the national zoo. Near the hotel ... Read more

Very nice, big conference hotel with multiple towers and dining facility. comfortably located in a nice area of the city next to the zoo. Very close metro station and lots of restaurants on Connecticut Ave. Staff is very friendly. Nice rooms but showers do need some refurbishments.

We are currently staying at at the Marriott here in DC for two nights. For the past 7 years we've stayed here a few times a year for business events. This is the first time we've been displeased with our room/stay. The room smelled like smoke right as we walked in to start off. I thought, ok it'll dissipate, no need to make a fuss. Proceeded to run the shower and couldn't get the tub to drain well. The lever seemed to be a bit broken that drains the tub. Not to mention the bathroom is out date... Read more

I attended this hotel for a conference and the facility seems to be designed mostly for big meetings and conferences. The room are good and what you'd expect for a Marriott. The area is attractive, although not walking distance to tourist attractions. A metro station is adjacent to the property, though. Dining opportunities in the area are rather sparse. The hotel itself has a couple of decent restaurants and a big lobby bar that also serves food. I was impressed by the prompt housekeeping... Read more

Have stayed here before. Felt this time they were lacking. The staff was great, and rooms were clean. But... 1. Stayed in Park Tower - had to run shower for five minutes to get hot water in sink. 2. The Pantry in the lobby was not prepared for the large group and on Saturday at 4 PM was already running out of food. When it is very cold outside, folks don't want to walk to other restaurants! But, I would not hesitate to stay here again!

This is by third or fourth stay at this hotel. Each experience has been great. The rooms are not the best in DC but comfortable. It is a very large hotel with a convention hall so can be a bit overwhelming and confusing to meet colleagues in DC. The restaurants are great through and so is room service. Great location with many restaurants a stone throw away. I may stay here again over the next 4 years. But this is recommended for large business meetings and exhibitions for sure!

The red brick with cream trim towers hovering over the tree line you see on the website are impressive, but that's not where you will stay. Apparently, they are being converted into private residences. The hotel where you will stay is a sprawling, 1970's-modern low-rise steel and glass complex which combines a mind-boggling amount of hotel rooms with a convention center. The lobby is impressive, as is the semi-circular bank of elevators. Otherwise, the hotel feels like a convention hotel, wit... Read more

Marriott's are pretty consistent year round. Based on that, I would not stay at this Marriott again because of the poor service/communication. It may have been attributable to it being New Year's Eve, but they were hurting. Made the reservation for 5 through Marriott. Not all Marriotts can accommodate 5 in a room, but this one specifically could. At check in, they asked if two double beds would work for us. I asked if there was a pull out couch since I had made the reservation for 5 people. They... Read more

Visiting DC for a conference. I stay at many Marriott properties, but what makes this one special is a lady named Flora who with her colleagues run the Concierge Lounge. I've never met a person so committed to making the guest experience so positive. Flora is friendly, warm, funny and deeply caring about you having a great guest experience. She possesses an owners mentality and is passionate about her customers. Marriott should clone her. This is a really good hotel, but Flora will be the r... Read more

This is a typical convention hotel with over 1000 rooms and many meeting spaces. We were not staying for a convention, rather we have family in the area. We stayed for 9 days and thought it was very good and would stay here again. The staff is wonderful, always cheery and accommodating, from front desk to cleaning staff to the engineer who helped with configuring the room TV to play off of the laptop computer. There is construction all around the front of the hotel but we never heard anything fr... Read more
