An excellent facility with amazing staff to care for you and your needs. The quality of everything from valets, to house keeping, to restaurant staff is amazing. The escalator from the entrance tells you that you have arrived at posh place. The only suggestion would be to be aware of the added costs ahead of time so as to avoid sticker shock such as daily valet parking, breakfast buffet, etc.

Hyatt Capitol is well-designed and maintained; people are friendly and helpful. Location is great for visiting the capitol, monuments, and other sights. We walked a lot which is our way of getting exercise. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

The room and bathroom was perfect. No complaints. Article One Restaurant had exceptionally quality delicious vegan entrees for all 3 meals. We will go back just to eat there again! Try their vegetable lasagna with pomodora tomato sauce! All staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. They gave a special rate for " Reason Rally"attendees!

The Hyatt on NJ near the Capitol was clean and bright. The desk staff, housekeeping staff, Concierge, restaurant staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. One day, at lunch, when I felt unwell, the restaurant made a plate of scrambled eggs; and when I needed some last minute copies, the Concierge quickly complied. I am older (73) and I felt very supported.

Super fast check-in. Regency club floor is very nice. Comfy rooms. Comfy beds. Very clean from top the bottom which even some high end hotels miss. Bathroom was almost completely spotless. Wife and I loved how easy to get around to the major sites. Mall and major museums are 15 minutes away by foot.

Fabulous hotel with superb food and staff involvement which made our stay special. Attention to detail was evident through hout hotel, especially at the pool which was clean, beautiful and inviting. It was on the second floor, easily accessible with a room key and not overcrowded. It was open late enough that you could use a cool swim after meetings all day to wind down and relax

Excellent hotel, convenient to Capitol Hill with usual Hyatt Service and excellence. Restaurant has good food and a breakfast bar that is pricey ($24 per person) but includes great food, an omelette station and nice fresh fruit and berries.

Another great Hyatt Regency vacation! This hotel is immaculate, has great service and a good restaurant. AWESOME concierge that helped us find several great spots.....take the 2.5 hour night tour of the monuments via coach bus right from the hotel-excellent way to see & visit all the sights. You get what you pay for and Hyatt never disappoints!

For whatever reason, I did not sleep well. They had me close to the street where I heard road noise and sirens through the night, the temperature in the room was never quite right, and there was no tub (just a small walk-in shower.)

I went there for a conference for work. The meeting space was great and the staff was excellent. Clean hotel, expensive for my budget for food in the hotel. Accessible elevator was not working properly if you are a person with a mobility impairment please make sure its working.

From the time of arrival until I departed, the staff and service were great! For example, upon arrival the staff asked about my needs and responded accordingly. For example, when I asked about where I could get a small tube of toothpaste, the staff person told me that she would handle it and gave me one. One of the front desk staff persons forgot to send the bell captain to my room. After an hour, I called myself and a person came up immediately. He apologized for the delay and quickly gathe... Great hotel in a great location. The room was spacious and nice. I walked over to the Capitol Building and Union Station. Very safe area. The Breakfast buffet was awesome and the food at the lobby bar was fantastic for bar food. Will stay again.

Location and gym facilities are great. But lobby and room are tired. And checkout process was long and frustrating. Set the bar low and you will never be disappointed. However I expect much more from the Hyatt Regency name. I will not stay at this property on future visits to DC.

This was a wonderful experience. Great rate and great service. Modern and clean. Kids loved the pool and the movie that was shown. It's a few steps from the Capitol - so a great location for visiting the mall area. We paid extra for the regency club and it was so worth it - drinks and food all day!

We experienced exceptional service from the time we arrived. The front desk agent was friendly and knowledgeable. The guest rooms were very clean and we had a wonderful experience each morning for breakfast. The hotel is in a great location.

The hotel was very nice inside but the hotel room was not that nice. The heat controls on the shower were non existent and the bath spout poured tons of water while the using the shower head. There was no complimentary breakfast and paying for parking at the hotel was outrageously expensive.

I stayed here for a convention. Rooms were very comfortable. Hotel restaurant had delicious dinners, not overpriced. Location perfect - it was near Union Station, Capitol, Smithsonian Museums, Women's Suffrage Museum, and many delicious restaurants. While I had meetings, my husband found plenty to do. Would stay here again. Pricey but offers good discount for convention attendees.

A wonderful respite from all the pollen and other allergens in the DC area. Great location near the capitol. It's a luxury hotel without being flashy - so there's nothing superlative to rave about (other than the hypo-allergenic rooms) but there's also nothing to complain about. Good service, good housekeeping, good catering, and well stocked with amenities.

Perfect location for access to the Mall sights and central D.C. Well equipped rooms as usual with Hyatt, pool, sauna and fitness room. Bar and restaurant are good quality but a bit pricey. Breakfast buffet is great. Quite corporate and a bit tired in need of a refurb, but as always Hyatt's are a reliable, good quality friend in American cities. Staff by the way, are brilliantly helpful and friendly. Tick.

Average hotel in good location for walking to the Mall. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were 3 star. The bar cocktails and menu were also very good. We had adjoining rooms since we had a 6 year old with us. Get a high floor for quiet.

The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. They anticipate your needs and make sure to answer any. The rooms are very comfortable. I had a handicap-accessible room that had an automatic door - first I have ever seen. The restaurant and bar are super, with a wide variety of dishes. If you have a special event, like a birthday or anniversary (as we did), tell the staff & they may help you celebrate - they gave us a dessert with "Happy Anniversary" spelled out in fruit gel. A wonderful gesture th... Read more

Expensive conference hotel, but that is how the society obtains meeting rooms. Valet parking was $56. Washington metro was undergoing repairs so staying in Alexandria wasn't an option. That said, it is a nice hotel. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was good and service was quick. Our room was clean and comfortable. We did no sightseeing. In and out for the conference.

Enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. The hotel in general was clean as was the room. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Loved the location - close to the Capitol and also Union station. Union station has some great inexpensive restaurants and is about 2 blocks away. Even found a Walmart (with free 2 hour parking!!!) within walking distance for some snacks and bottled water. When we go back to DC again we will definitely stay at the Hyatt!!

Although we stayed here for a conference I attended, my husband had the pleasure of touring throughout the day to the local museums, monuments, Capitol and enjoyed the hop on hop off bus availability. He picked great restaurants for evening after my work concluded. The hotel is in very close proximity to the Capitol and the sightseeing opportunities. The hotel was clean and nicely convenient to this entire area. Staff were very helpful, valets were courteous, attentive and helpful. I do think... Read more

Great hotel, excellent location. The valet parking is outrageous but we expected that, every city hotel is like that. We used a much cheaper parking garage down the street. That said, the hotel was beautiful - gorgeous skylight lobby, front desk was helpful and accommodating (they also gave my 7-yr-old a special kids bag and cape at check in, which he loved!), rooms were absolutely beautiful. Updated bathroom was great. Beds very comfortable. The pool was kind of small but we knew that when we b... Read more

Our recent stay was a mixed bag. The hotel lobby while beautiful was always so loud and crowded as the bar and restaurant are open concept right there. They did have a slew of cabs available at all times and it was a main pickup post for tours as well as a short walking distance to union station and the Capitol. The staff was great and always ready to help, but extremely tip driven. Be ready for that. The beds were comfortable but the rooms were small. There was no vanity only a pedestal sink, w... Read more

The hotel was convenient to every place we had to go during our trip. Made our short trip more enjoyable. The staff was very polite and helpful & the room was very comfortable. Only minor complaint was the chlorine level in the pool was a bit high. My eyes burned for a day, but I am partly to blame since I did my laps having forgotten my goggles.
