I keep coming back to this hotel for its location and service, and because the rooms are generally spacious, modern and comfortable. Housekeeping does a remarkable job and the front desk is very helpful. The mattresses are getting tired, however, and one can see how the edges of the hotel are fraying a bit from heavy use. The bar is lively but you'll lose your voice trying to conduct a conversation in there, and the bar noise flows throughout the lobby. Rooms on the west side are generally bigge... Read more

I have stayed at The Dupont Circle many times. This last trip was a last minute visit as a family member was in the hospital in DC. As always, the staff remembered us and welcomed us warmly. They made a difficult visit easier with their concern for my daughter and their support. Everyday they asked how she was doing. They are truly like family. A big thank you to Shane and Cole! We stayed here for 4 nights in June 2016. We stayed in a Superior King room on the 3rd floor and it had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, there were full size bath towels and two water bottles each day. Our particular room didn't have much of a view, but we were out seeing the sights for almost all of our time there so that didn't matter much to us. The wifi was a bit weak in our area of the hotel, which is the only reason I couldn't give it a full 5-star rating. The rooms di... Read more

The hotel locates on the circle and easy to find since it's the only gray, multi-level building in the area. Metro stop is a few meters away. Nearby are shops, book store, many good restaurants, and cafes. Don't forget to stop by Firehook bakery for delicious European baked goods. The hotel decoration is contemporary, clean line and warmth (in colour + texture). Staff are polite and nice. The Cafe is loud and trendy with young clientele‚??quite crowded late at night. We stayed for 4 nights at the start of a 2 week holiday in the US.. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are very small and not very well designed and as there was nowhere to store our suitcases it felt very cramped. No need for the large sofa and perhaps a smaller desk would help. We didn't mind the bathroom set up, I would prefer coffee making facilities in the room as standard rather than having to ask for them. We didn't eat in the restaurant or ... Read more

First time visiting DC and chose The Dupont Circle as our host. What an excellent choice it turned out to be. A very clean, modern and comfortable hotel where the staff are extremely friendly and approachable. The bar and cafe/restaurant are worth stopping off at if you feel too tired to venture out into the city after a busy day. Prices are reasonable but the dining menu isn't expansive so some fussier people may struggle to find something they like. The beds are comfortable enough and we h... Read more

Our view wasn't the best but friends who stayed across the hall (323) were kept awake by a wedding one night and by emergency vehicles on the street the next night. Service was superlative. Not sure why I am so loyal to this place! I love the location, and the restaurant has some wonderful dishes. The door staff and cleaning staff are nice; the front desk staff is touch and go. Whether this is enough to keep coming back, I can't be sure. The whole hotel needs an in-depth scrub -- from the glass doors in the entry to the glass shower doors. This is not about the cleaning staff but about no one in management noticing that time and time again these things could be better.

We had a wonderful stay in The Dupont Circle! From the moment we pulled up in the taxi we felt welcomed - and not only because of the Irish person behind the counter! Shane couldn‚??t have been a better host. We knew instantly we‚??d made an excellent choice of hotel. We had a beautiful room with every convenience. We spent a few leisurely hours on the sun terrace, enjoying the evening sun and watching Washington get on with its evening. All of the staff were brilliant! I can highly recommend th... Read more

I've stayed here over 10 times in the past 1.5 years for business. It's going downhill quickly. This will be my last visit. They used to have turndown service and leave chocolates, they used to write handwritten notes saying welcome to the hotel again, they used to offer unexpected upgrades to say thank you for staying four times in one month. And, the room used to be spotless. Today I checked in and none of the above happened, the lamp shade is completely broken and crooked, the gentleman at... Read more

I stayed at Georgetown and walked down to the Dupont circle one day . It was a sunny afternoon and the place was full of office goers sitting in the benches around the fountain eating their takeaway salads . There were a few tourists like me sitting around and watching the world go by . Not sure how the place looks like in the evening .

I enjoyed a clean quiet comfortable room in a boutique-type setting hotel during a recent visit to Washington to attend a conference. The staff and amenities were all good quality and the buzz from the bar added to the ambiance.

First of all, Jay is absolutely amazing. We were visiting from San Diego. He has been all over the country and made us feel so welcome in your city. He always had a smile on his face and was just an all around positive person. Every employee at the hotel was extremely nice and the rooms and service are spectacular as well. The central location doesn't hurt at all either. Five stars all the way! We will definitely be back.

Stayed in a beautiful suite with a bunch of girlfriends. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated with amazing views. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The hotel is right in the heart of Dupont Circle with lots of great food and shopping close by. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at The Dupont Circle Hotel. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, but never over bearing. The room was great, the location is convenient and the price is right, overall perfect for our stay in DC. I would go back again in a heart beat.

Spent several nights in one of the basic rooms. Next time I would book a larger room. The staff was gracious and helpful. Happy hour at the bar was great for people watching, and so convenient. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent, as was the service. KramerBooks is across the street; a favorite bookstore of mine. The Dupont Circle metro stop is a short block away, making getting around the city very convenient. All in all, an excellent hotel!

Our problems started at check in, OK we arrived probably early at 3.00pm and were told a 30 minute wait, this turned out to be nearly an hour. We had booked a Grand King De Luxe for our 3 night stay. Immediately on arrival it was very clear the room presented problems. Having prepaid for the first night at the rate of $420 the room was small and with inadequate facilities. The problems were many and for the benefit of other travellers should be listed 1. The wrap round windows had slatted veneti... Read more

When we checked in, our daughter exclaimed "this is a 10-star resort". We chuckled, but found she was quite right about the experience. The room was impeccably clean and although small (all D.C. hotels seem to be) very comfortable. The staff exceeded our expectations every step - from offering water at check in and check out to a waiter who was personable, knowledgable and efficient. Will definitely return!

Bustling hotel with popular bar and restaurant. First room I was given on the second floor must have been the noisiest in the whole place. Literally above the doors to the bar and between the elevators and a set of conference rooms. So between the raucous sidewalk party at 2:30 and the conference room set up at 7 something it was a rough night. I asked if I could be moved somewhere quieter for the next night. The front desk staff (Lisa Marie?) were very sympathetic and my new room was indeed a q... Read more

Ordered a toasted English Muffin. Came to the table decidedly not toasted - cold and white. Asked that it be taken back to the kitchen and toasted. Back it came with some indication that it had been close to a taster but only barely. At this point, thinking I had asked the impossible, I asked for the check. It was long in coming. Before it did, the maitre'd puts before me a perfectly toasted muffin. "Sir, I am sorry that your muffin was not toasted to your liking; however, it was toasted to our ... Read more

I was in your hotel one month ago with a groupe of french doctors and I just wanted to thank ALL the employees for their professionalism and kindness. I'm traveling very often but I rarely saw such a perfect service. The front desk staff with the manager Grace was amazing. The concierges were also exceptional. Many thanks to Michael and especially to John. I was very demanding but John was very reactive, attentive, patient, helpful and always with a smile. There is just one thing you should abso... The DuPont Circle Hotel is a gem. Ideally located right on DuPont Circle, close to great restaurants, bars, the Metro and a reasonable walk to Georgetown, the National Mall and many of DC's touristy sites. The hotel is modern, clean and beautifully maintained. The staff is always welcoming and exceedingly helpful.

Located close to the Dupont Circle metro, so it is convenient if you are using public transport. The room has all the facilities one needs, including an nespresso machine. The wifi is included in tt room rate and works well.

Just completed a five day vacation in Washington DC. Hotel was the highlight. Perfect location. Very welcoming and comfortable and felt like a home from home. Food was great in the Bar and the Café and the Hotel had a warm relaxing atmosphere at all times. Top marks to the Irish and American staff who are excellent at what they do. Particularly Shane from Donegal on the front desk, John the Concierge and Aaron on the front door who sorted out taxis and ubers for us. Will definitely retu... Read more

First impressions all positive - the lobby is spacious, bell and reception staff courteous and helpful. A buzzy atmosphere leads to positive expectations of the rooms. Sadly, not totally fulfilled... Bedrooms are a decent size, but badly configured, the needlessly large bathroom eating into the bedroom space. Due to the large bathroom, the desk area is very tight, with little room to move. The bathroom itself suffers from a terrible design fault: the floor doesn't slope enough to the drain (it'... Read more
