This new entry into the Hilton properties in DC and it occupies several floors at the Embassy Suites building. Great location near DuPont Circle. This is a new property. The rooms are brand new, very clean and the furnishings have a Euro look. Bedding very comfortable and bathroom nicely appointed with a nice shower head and very hot water. Complimentary breakfast with a sizable room and complimentary Manager's Cocktails each evening. I am very happy with my stay and will stay again here wh... Read more

Very nice hotel. Its the top 3 floors of the Embassy suites in Georgetown/Foggy bottom area. Its lobby & check in is on the 8th floor, it was a little confusing at first. Major construction going on in the main lobby/atrium of the hotel of the Embassy suites. Still an awesome hotel. Rooms are huge with everything that you need. Free beer & wine in the late afternoon & free breakfast in the morning. Washer /dryer on site too. Great staff!!!

I was very excited to stay at this hotel. I had read about it online and saw a picture of the rooms and the hotel and it looked very nice. A couple of days prior to arrival, I received a phone call from one of their customer service reps informing me that there was construction going on within the hotel so she wanted to give me a heads up. I had previously known this from reading the website, so it was no surprise. Upon arriving and seeing the state of the lobby and general area of the hotel som... Read more

My family stayed at The District for 4 nights. We had 7 rooms. Pros: the staff was wonderful & Enormously helpful. The rooms are 2 room suites, recently renovated, spacious, very clean, plenty of storage, 2 huge flat screen TV's, great linens, bathrobes, micro, fridge, white noise machines, electronic plug ins by bed. Sofa makes into bed which is great if you have kids. Located near Metro. Cons: the lobby isn't done yet, neither is the pool so we got free breakfast. Honestly, with our group that wa... Read more

The older Embassy Suites at Dupont circle is under reconstruction and the top 3 floors have been converted to a time-share format, "The District". For positives, the newly appointed rooms are very nicely done. The rooms are quiet, bedding is excellent, and climate control works well. Bath and TV fixtures, micro, fridge, etc all help for a cozy stay for 2-4. That said, the extensive reconstruction is at best inconvenient, but also noisy, pool is closed, custom breakfast (which you may be used to... Read more

My family and I had a great little get away to D.C. The hotel was being renovated and should be complete by the middle of August. My sister and I took our 7 & 8 year old sons on an educational trip to DC and stayed at this property. It was conveniently located and was nicely decorated. I was disappointed that staff didn't proactively share much about dining options in the area (we stayed confined to a one block radius when there were many common places 3-4 blocks away). However, the signs need to be fixed, because outside the building does not give justice to the magic within. But the one thing we'll remember most is the superior customer service we received (especially from Daniel, Zalia, Sean, Steven and Delante). THANK YOU FOR A WEEKEND GETAWAY WE'LL NEVER FORGET!!

I only give excellent to unbelievable resort properties - but as a place to stay for business or pleasure in DC can't imagine a better place. the rooms are spacious, well appointed, comfortable. Breakfast is above average for the hotel offered breakfast. Bar is nice - needs better wine - but spacious and comfortable.

The rooms are suites and new. Checking into The District is a bit of a hassle - check in on 8th floor, then back to Embassy Suites lobby on 1 to get a garage key, then back up to room. The room itself was very nice. Lots of storage and comfy furniture. Breakfast was included and was tasty - made-to-order eggs, pastries, etc. They were having elevator issues during my stay - at one point only one was working and the line to go up was very long. Good location at 22nd & N, NW. Easy walk to ... Read more

The rooms are large and confortable, with large (perhaps king size) bed and a sofa-bed in the living room. There is what they call a mini kitchen, which comprises a sink (without soap or sponge to do the dishes), a mini refrigerator (with no freezer), a microwave and a coffee maker. There are no glasses, plates, cutlery or dishes available. It was a joke! The breakfast is good, but very crowded. There is a station to prepare eggs to order (expect lines). There is a good selection of fruits. I ... Read more

This is a hotel that could be really nice but is just not ready for prime time. Did not have any trouble with check in...I knew to go to the 8th floor...but then had to leave my bags downstairs at the main check in until my room was ready. Got a call around 1:00 that the room was ready so we went to check in. Room was standard Embassy Suites size and style but bathroom was upgraded. No tub but large shower. Bed linens were nice but pillows flatten to nothing....and I'm a small person. The... Read more

Great location! The HGVC-The District is located on the 8th floor of the Embassy Suites Hotel. The hotel amenities are all available to HVGC members. I would recommend and stay there again. Bell staff is excellent. Great location near all of the restaurants in Dupont Circle. Walking distance to Kennedy Center, Monuments, etc.

The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. They had an excellent breakfast, and friendly staff! There is a small parking garage on sight that is very convenient or you can park about a block away for a little cheaper, have done both but prefer spending the little more for the convenience.

Firstly, Sean, Matthew and Steven were both helpful and friendly on reception giving advice about how best to make the most of our stay. The room was spacious and well kept. The blind was broken but repaired within twenty minutes of reporting. Good choice for breakfast and the evening drinks and snacks were a pleasant bonus allowing a nice time to chill out and chat about our day. Public transport not too bad and as the weather was so good we walked to a lot of places. Georgetown very nice v... Read more

Our room was in a special area of an Embassy Suites hotel.. located on the upper levels and with newly remodeled suites. We were able to enjoy all of the amenities of the Embassy Suites, free breakfast, free manager's reception, etc. The entire lobby area has also been recently remodeled and is stunning!!! The location is great and the general manager was out and about mingling with guests during the manager's reception and breakfast as well. Very friendly and welcoming to us all!!!

I could not have asked for more considering the price I paid. A much better experience than other similarly or higher priced options around DC. The breakfast and evening open house reception were an added attraction. The suite enabled me to hold meet and entertain in an environment closer to a corporate office than sleeping quarters - thank you.

All you can wish for a hotel in DC. Located close to Dupont and Foggy Bottom. Less than 30 walk to the White House. Great hospitality and service. Super spacious rooms in very good conditions. Nonetheless, I think the best part was the price, I think I paid something like 150 per night which is super competitive given its location and the overall quality of the hotel.

The District is the upper levels (7, 8, and 9) of the Embassy Suites Georgetown with check in on the eighth floor. It is a time share but it just opened and they are booking rooms as hotel. We got the introductory rate. There was a card in the room about a presentation for the time share but we did not attend. The breakfast, manager's happy hour, pool, and other amenities of the Embassy Suites are available to The District guests. The unit was really nice and had hardwood floors with some ... Read more

From the street one would not suspect what lies inside. This hotel is really three floors of Hilton vacation club at the top of the Embassy Suites hotel on the edge of Georgetown. It's quiet and there's complimentary breakfast and a manager's reception each night with free drinks. The rooms are clean and well appointed and the atrium is a noble space suitable for whiling away some time. Very nice service too.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The top three floors of the Embassy Suites were updated for Hilton Club. Our suite had a fairly large living room with a dining table for 4 people, a kitchenette (with a Keurig coffee maker and plenty of K-Cups), 2- 55" flat screen TV's, great bedding, large bathroom with awesome shower and plenty of mirrors. We checked in on the 8th floor (for Hilton Club) and the staff was extremely helpful with directions, tours, etc. The hotel was about a 6 block walk ... Read more

The District is a timeshare club on the 7, 8 and 9th floors at the Embassy Suites. We were there 6 days. Location is really convenient - on 22nd St. between M and N Sts. Lots of restaurants and other hotels in the area. Always easy to get a cab. The facility was really comfortable. The rooms are suites - like a cruise ship suite, so they're large, with a LR with a big TV, DR with a nice size round table and 4 chairs, and kitchenette area (sink, microwave, fridge, Keurig machine) and a big ... I loved my stay in the newly renovated the District by Hilton in DC. The room was huge, nice, fashioned, classy and clean. The Servies and cleaning were perfect, I enjoyed it all and the price was very good and I hope it stays this good. I will stay here again in the future. The General Manager, Eric Thompson, was very nice, he sent me a cake and card for my birthday which was a great surprise, Thank you, Eric.

I enjoyed everything about my stay from the excellent breakfast with made to order eggs to the complementary cocktails and appetizers in the evening. Great staff, large rooms and a comfortable bed. I really liked the fact that the room had dishes and a small kitchen sink outside of the bathroom for coffee preparing simple meals. I felt very much at home in my room.

The HGV club lounge wasn't operating with breakfast or cocktails. Therefore eating with the Embassy Suites guests in a crowded and extremely noisy dining area was required. Do not stay at the district unless you get a reduced rate or the club lounge is opened.

This Embassy Suites/Hilton Grand Vacations hotel was ideal from start to finish. It is extremely well-located and within a few blocks' walk to the Foggy Bottom Metro; Georgetown; and DuPont Circle/the Embassies. There are many thoughtful touches to the room, i.e. the indicator light that flips on whenever you enter the bathroom; a great mattress; blackout curtains; and the famous Embassy Suites breakfast and managers' reception. We'll definitely return.

We stayed at the District over Thanksgiving holiday. Great location near Dupont Circle. You check in on the 8th floor of the Embassy Suites which is a little strange and we parked in the on-site parking, which is 49 bucks a night. You also have the option of staying off site for 39 dollars. The rooms are really very nice, clean, and large with a fridge and a microwave. The beds were very comfortable as was the sofa bed. It might be good someday, but there's really nothing to make your experience feel different than any Embassy Suites guest. It is a good place for families in general and one of the only indoor pools around. Good location. Clean. No real regrets. But keep your expectations low.
