The rooms were clean. The staff is very friendly. Thank you. We enjoyed our stay. The two things I really missed though was continental breakfasts and no refrigerator in room. It is a good location for metrorail and bus.

This is not a luxury hotel. Don't book if that's what you're looking for. The rooms are small, but they're clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic for the price. This is a great room in DC for the traveler on a budget.

This is a basic hotel, so get over yourself. The rooms are reasonably clean, with a very good TV and very good (and free) wifi. The staff is (are?) accommodating. Days Inn, convenient, close to Metro, clean room and bed. Bathroom too small, but it is an oldish brick structure. Elevators and hallways narrow and constricting. Pleasant staff. I've been to Wahington DC many times for business and family vacations and this is one of my go to hotels. The location is right next to the Van Ness Metro Station. 3 stops from Dupont Circle. So convenient. They have good parking and it's easy to drive into DC on Connecticut Ave without getting bogged down in heavy traffic near the monuments. excellent stay. away from central dc, yet not that far. van ness/udc metro station (red line) is just 2 blocks away. I like its close location to the national zoo,one of my favorites; just heone bus ride (L2). professional staff. very comfortable bed. immaculate bathroom. towels changed daily. on the down side: no breakfast, just free coffee @ the lobby. ac was a bit noisy. @ check-in. waited 20 mins. only one staff @ front desk.

Rooms are small but clean and updated. The beds were comfy although the pillows were not very fluffy and oddly shaped - small and squareish. Staff was friendly and professional. Close to the Metro rail and bus. Onsite restaurant is phenomenal and half a block up the street is the most wonderful bakery cafe / coffee shop. Be aware - hotel charges $23 for overnight parking (kind of steep if you ask me). Overall a very pleasant stay. Would definitely go back.

Its a Days Inn. The pros were the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. However, you have to pay to park $23 a day in their lot. The hotel was overpriced, the carpet was stained and/or filthy. The "repairs" that had been previously made were shoddy and looked bad, paint jobs, etc. Inattention to detail. The hotel was clean, and way less expensive than most around the area. It was clear that it was renovated on a budget, but it was decent. The room was smaller than most, but it had everything one would need.

We arrived shortly after midnight on 9/9, and when we got up to our floor, the hallways smelled of mildew and mold, the room was TINY, and not at all like the pictures online. The vent in the bathroom was filthy, the showerhead was coming out of the wall, and none of the sockets in the room would keep any plugs in them. Most likely will not be back to this location.

We managed to get a great deal for this hotel on I thought that the microwave and fridge were included in the room rate but we were told we had to pay an extra $15 a day to have those items in our room when we got there which was not worth it. Good location for the metro into town. Don't go to Italian restaurant they charged us $30 for two coronas and never brought back our change. I think the rooms are dated but had comfy beds.

A group of us stayed here for one night on a business trip. The hotel was pretty average and dated. The hotel room had a musty smell. The shower was over the bath and was the old-style of turning on and off. Also the hotel did not have a bar or restaurant which meant the breakfast options were pretty limited. There is a great bakery a few doors down and a Burger King next door. Service was very good.

Very clean. Easy check in and out. Bed and pillows comfortable. Plenty of towels. Very close to the family members we were visiting, so very convenient. Sheer curtains only over window facing busy street. We really wanted to block the light from the street, but it wasn't possible. This was a major issue for us. Street noise moderate, but the motel itself was quiet. More coffee in the room would have been better, but coffee was available downstairs. Nice bakery very close by.

I stayed here for 2 nights, in early September. I paid $125 per night (including taxes). For that price or less, this is a fine hotel. Great location, clean rooms, nice beds, roomy bathroom, pleasant and helpful staff. The place is very basic (but so was the price). Their is a lovely breakfast/lunch cafe next door, Bread Furst. The hotel is very close to the red line at Van Ness.

Security is important if travelling alone and I had confidence in this hotel. Staff were friendly and informed. Skittle further away from downtown but safe part of the world. Metro clise by to get to Union Separate for all the tour buses. WiFi connection continually in and out. Could not stay for business due to this concern..

I had a wonderful impromptu stay at the Days Inn. I wish I could remember the person that checked me in. She was so gracious with everyone. My room was lovely and the restaurant, Tesoro, had great authentic Italian food. The only thing that detracted from my stay were the sounds of people coming in late. Guess, they were having a good time, too.

I actually live in the area and have passed by this hotel for a decade but never been inside. I had apartment repairs done and had to book a walk-in reservation for a week a few days before contractors began work. Nora, Lisa, Luis, Gloria(?) and ALL the other weekday and weekend, morning and evening staff were pleasant, efficient and effective. This is more like a hostel than a hotel; don't stay here! Our first room had chunks of paint and plaster falling off the wall, the carpet was sticky, and there were large balls of mold (about the size of a dime) in the AC unit. Do not stay in this hotel. We are in town for the opening of the African American Museum. I booked this hotel because it is in DC proper and close to the metro. It is also part of the Wyndham properties. Big mistake!!! The place smells, the carpet is dirty, the safe has been broken open so it is not usable. Luis at front desk was really welcoming and friendly. All the staff in general have been great. Yes, the hotel is not in the first flush of youth but my room was always spotlessly clean. The bed is really comfy and nice coffee for the coffee machine in the room. Easy walk to the subway. Compared to the prices of other hotels I was happy with what I got for the price.

Great location for riding Metro. We were able to be at the locations we wanted to go to within 15 mins. No hassle with traffic or parking in DC. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The reason I gave 4 vs 5 was on the fourth floor in the hall ways you smelled gas everyday. The smell was not in the room, we would of had to find another hotel. Way overpriced for a bare minimum room. ($659) for 4 nights. Lost my cell phone in parking lot before checking in. No one really seemed to want to help. Lady at front desk in late afternoon and evenings was busy talking on the phone to a co-worker or friend while I waited several minutes to ask a question. Never smiled once.

This is a very old, worn down, dreary, dingy hotel. Our room smelled from some sort of mold problem. We had to keep the windows open just to be able to breath. The staff is definitely not friendly, except for the desk people .. we had to chase them for any kind of services for our room. Room was clean and thoughtfully furnished. Bed was comfortably firm. Place was quiet - no street noise at all and only occasionally heard voices in hall. Poorly managed and hostile manager. Front desk staff sometimes does not answer the phone. No help with luggage. Desk lamp needed maintenance and my computer battery died because it was plugged into desk lamp outlet and I did not realize that til I reached my next destination, a five star hotel in Colorado. I travel all over the US and worldwide and this was a real low!! I will avoid it and stay outside DC next time if this is the only reasonable option for someone on a business budget.

Stayed four nights. Started out with a payment mixup (I had prepaid months before) which eliminated the last of the credit on my credit card. Did their best to solve the problem. Our stay, however was very comfortable. The staff was professional and attentive. Carpets, although having vacuum marks, were badly stained and looked awful, both in the hallways and in the room. We were unhappy with this hotel and will probably look for an Air BnB for our next trip to DC to visit family. The room smelled like mildew/mold, the bed and pillows caused our backs to hurt, there was mold in the bathroom and some of the surfaces were dirty- I cleaned them with Clorox wipes. A nice place with nice staff and clean room at a good price. However they need to use ful size pillows instead those half size pillows. Location is next to DC Univ and retails and 6 mi from the Nat Mall but the subway was only 2 blocks away and very nice and easy to use at $2.20, faster and cheater than cabs or Uber due to traffic in DC. The entire subway system stations are near everything you will likely visit. Sr. pay half price.

Had a water leak from the room above that flooded our bathroom. Requested a new room but they were sold out. Asked maintenance to clean up and was told no, but they returned and mopped up the water. Hotel gave us free parking. This appeared to not be the first leak in this room as the ceiling had been repaired before our flood and the door jam was rusty. Hotel must be old. I felt we should not have had to pay for our second night.

For the second night in a row out of a two night stay I've been woken at 3 am by the fire alarm going off. This is two incredibly disrupted nights of sleep I've paid for. This afternoon I complained about the first night and was told it wasn't the hotel's fault that someone from outside set the alarm off.

I chose this hotel because of it's location, it was close to the area where I was attending a conference. The room was clean, and the front desk staff were pleasant. The room decor was somewhat outdated, and there was no volume on the TV in the bedroom area. I asked the staff twice to fix it, but it still wasn't fixed properly. There was another TV on the other side of the room in a lounge area that worked fine though. Good hotel for business travel.

Best price in town that day. A little dated but room was clean and tidy and whole place felt safe. There is an italian next door that looked good and they give a 10% discount. The lift is controlled by room key for security. There's parking.

For my one week stay, I have been charged on my credit card 300 US$ more than what was agreed on my booking and of what I find on the receipt I got at the check out. I sent 4 emails to try to understand and to correct the mistake, but after 4 days I didn't get any answer. Very poor management. So watch out and be carefull with this Hotel!

This hotel is affordable and in a great location. The bed is comfortable. But there is one insurmountable problem - the plumbing. The shower is scalding, and remains so as you add more and more cold water - until suddenly it is freezing. Had not stayed in a Days Inn for a while but chanced on this when looking for an affordable place after the conference hotel was all booked up. If your looking for a spot in the north part of the city that's two blocks away from the metro,this might be your hotel. The rooms are fine, just a few cosmetic things that need to be taken care of. Parking is expensive. It cost more to park at the hotel than it does to park downtown--not sure why?

the front desk agent lied to me about the price, then tried try to lie and say I didn't speak with her over the phone. But she was the only one with an accent working there. The charge way too much, for nothing. No pool, fitness center, no breakfast, not even a water fountain. They charge for everything, surprised the didn't charge to use the computers. I was also told over the phone that I would be receiving a $50 rebate, they lied.

This hotel was perfect for me. it was right near the Red-Line Metro in Northwest Washington. The staff was very friendly, the room clean, and they had a tea maker which was important to me. Also for a per diem fee, I could leave my car in their garage while I was staying there. I would def stay here again.

Location was great. Room was fine, except for the penny on the floor for 4 days in a row. It was near the door so I decided not to move it, just to see. Notice said to hang towels to save water/energy, but they were taken and replaced One of the days had no wash cloths and had to wait over 45 min for someone to bring them.

When the outdoor temperature dropped, the room became cold. That is when we realized that the only room heater was a plug in heater that was not plugged in. After we plugged it in, the room became toasty, but then we discovered the only way to turn off the heater was to unplug it from the wall.
