About the Area
Downtown DC is awash with culture. The Smithsonian Institution museum complex flanks the National Mall. The Washington Monument bisects the Mall, just south of the White House. Federal agency headquarters house bureaucrats of varying stripes. Moneyed and powerful lobbyists help create (and quash) laws from K Street. Chinatown and the Washington Convention Center lie east of downtown.

I want to thank Ebanisha from the accounting department for all her help. There was an issue with the billing for our hotel room and after almost a weeks worth of investigation she helped me solve the problem. She was friendly, patient and prompt. She help me to solve the problem as quickly as possible. Thank you so much for all your help.

Had intentions on staying elsewhere but that hotel was booked solid. That hotel then referred us to this beautiful hotel for the one night we needed, (5/27/16). The welcome by the ladies at the front desk was professional, and upon going into the room, I was blown away, the room was lovely. It was cooled already, clean and very updated and a very quiet room. Looking at the web site, the rooms are exactly as pictured...beautiful. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable...bathrooms large and ... Read more

Love it!! Perfect location to stay, nice restaurants around. Clean, new, nice support beds, with everything you need. What I would love they do is including complimentary breakfast. But Giant supermarket is just downstairs. You can get bread and cold cuts to make your own. Highly recommemd the Thai restaurant closeby.

The suites are spacious, with very comfortable beds, blackout blinds, compact refrigerator and microwave. Flat screen television in both main and bedroom, with chaise-couch for relaxation. There is a restaurant-bar, as well as rooftop lounging area and exercise facility. Best for me is the location, location, location. Large room and excellent shower but why 2 enormous TVs? The hotel is a little out of the way but next to an excellent supermarket. The nearest Metro is about 10 minutes 'walk but it is a gentle downhill stroll to Chinatown and only a little further to Archives/Naval Memorial. Breakfasts very basic - the bread was awful which is quite surprising given the number of craft bakeries around. However, the bar meals were excellent and the wine and craft beer selection good. The hotel was an average one where as they were building the have perks. Also a great pool and outside bar. But the cleaning was not the best. The room was great and bigger than a regular double queen at most hotels. The food in both the morning and the evening was avera and the prices were okay. Overall an average stay but could do better. The pic at night is hotel view from the roof. The pool is great.

The Cambria is a modern clean hotel in an up and coming neighborhood. There are a few restaurants in the neighborhood and Butter Cream is down the street. There is a Starbucks, a fancy restaurant (name escapes me) and a grocery store steps from the hotel. Cambria has a small indoor roof top pool which was never crowded when we came to swim. It was usually after touring the city all day when we would rest our feet and cool down. Just outside from the pool is a roof top deck, Thursday-Saturday the... Read more

The rooms were clean and have a small refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and the linen clean. We stayed at the Cambria for 3 nights at the end of September, with a Riviera holiday. There were 44 of us in the group. My husband & I were so impressed with the friendliness of the staff, & the level of customer service on offer. We never passed the Reception desk without being asked if we needed help, or just a cheery greeting. The girl behind the bar was the same & worked so hard. We had a drink a couple of nights there & on one night had a small meal at the bar - great food. The weather o... Read more

This is a corporate hotel near a large convention centre. The rooms are really mini suites. Our room had two large TV's , fridge, sofa, large bathroom and views over the city. They offer breakfast but we could not find a price on the website, in the room guide nor by the eating area so we ate out. There is a Starbucks just a few doors down and various restaurants nearby. It is a short walk to the Metro (about three blocks) and just a few minutes into the centre of the city. When we stayed they ... Read more

No frills, neat hotel. Rooms were spacious, clean linen, tidy bath and wifi worked perfect. A basic breakfast and a bar that was open till 10.30 I think. There're was a Starbucks right next door and a grocery store across the road. Parking is expensive.

Cambria was recommended by a friend so we gave it a shot. Great location, grocery store and Starbucks next door, easy valet parking, my kids love the pool. I'm disappointed, however, about a few things. First of all, there are never any towels at the pool. Each night I've called the front desk for towels and though last night someone came up to resupply the pool area, tonight they are being washed and supposedly "still in the dryer." Really? Not one planned for tired tourists to come use the poo... Read more

We loved the Cambria hotel, it was extremely quiet, very clean and all the workers were very nice and helpful. The Giant grocery store down the street was very convenient if you wanted to buy any thing to stock in your room Refrigerator, including beer and wine. The only down side which was, but still no problem was a lot of walking if your an older couple to get to all the sites. We walked everywhere, but if the weather was bad you would have to walk to the Metro or call a taxi. Wish there were... Read more

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff was pleasant and helpful. There was a lovely pool and outdoor roof top deck with a nice view of the city. A Starbucks, few restaurants and a great grocery market are all within steps of the hotel and valet parking is available. It is a bit of a walk to the mall, museums and other tourist sites but was manageable.

Room was spacious and bathroom was decent. Only bad was that the bathroom tap throws out water in full speed if u are not careful! Also I relayed heavily on a room microwave to heat up my baby's milk & food which they didn't provide. You have to go up and down 3-4 times in a day in order to use the lobby microwave. That's a clear drawback for a mommy like me :( Other stuff were okay.

We stayed at the Cambria hotel for a grad school trip to visit the National Book Festival and some other area tours in late September. The hotel was clean and almost all the staff I encountered were extremely friendly. I never encountered housekeeping staff directly but we were there for four nights and they always did a wonderful job. The bathroom and rest of the room were very modern and I loved having the desk there to do work. There were two big TV's in the room which was great, except that ... Read more

We stayed for one night Oct 13th and this was the best hotel we ever stayed. we reserved 2 queen bed room and the room was very spacious compared to all the hotels that I stayed over a period of time. Not only that, The concierge also offered us one free drink per adult that we could use at the bar. Location was excellent and I would stay here again

This is my second stay at the Cambria Hotels and Suites in Washington, DC Convention Center. I love this hotel, the front desk staff is awesome. They are so knowledgeable about the area, the metro and surrounding places. My room was clean, the bed is so comfortable, especially because I have a bad back. The bed was just right and firm.

Stayed there for a night with 5 of my friends and not only did it fit our budget, the room and the service were great! Food was over prized but that is true to all hotels anyway. But if you just want the room and service Cambria is perfect.

This hotel was selected as suitable for 5 adults. The room configuration was ok with two queen size beds and a food out sofa. Unfortunately the fold out sofa was extremely uncomfortable with a spring mattress that you could see and feel every spring. I asked for a piece of foam or another mattress and was told I could have another blanket if that would help! My daughter spent two nights sleeping on the cushions on the floor. Breakfast was advertised at US15.95. After breakfast for 3 people we w... Read more

I live nearby so rarely stay at a Hotel in Pittsburgh so this one was a pleasant surprise! I choose it because of it's convenient Uptown location and reasonable price. The rooms are spacious, including a separate sitting area with a second television. The overnight parking charge is very reasonable at $18/night and the parking area is very convenient to the hotel. But what really made my visit work was the availability of a FREE shuttle that took me anywhere within a 3 mile radius, making it pos... Read more

Great addition to area of public projects. Looks like trend of change is coming to that neglected neighborhood. Hotel very modern, plenty of open space, clean, new furnishing, elegant design of the bathroom. Management very attentive, personnel with professional attitude. Valet parking $45. We travelled with our two adult daughters. We had a room with two Queens beds. Fairly new and well appointed with separate lounge alcove and large bathroom. Worked well for us. Rooftop indoor pool, gym and seasonal bar/outdoor seating were nice facilities to have although we had just two nights so didn't really get to take advantage of these. Breakfast was not bad value although charging extra for juice and tea/coffee is odd, we wondered why some people seemed to be bringing their own juice... Read more

Checked in with a Group; the accommodation was superb, very sizeable and luxurious suites with separate bathroom and bedroom. All mod cons and the rooms, and indeed the hotel, had a new stylish feel The breakfast was also good and there is a bar. What prevented a five star rating is that the check in experience was terrible, indeed one of the worst. The check in agent was defensive and unhelpful. What was worse was that there was no management on duty or available to back him up. The area is als... Read more

I visited DC with my 7-year-old daughter as well as my 66-year-old father and needed a space to share that would suit everyone's tastes. The Cambria was perfect! The hotel was clean, modern and centrally located to much of what we wanted to see in DC. The indoor pool was small but perfect for my daughter. The hotel has large well appointed rooms and friendly staff. The location is good with easy bus and metro links downtown and nice bars and restaurants near by. The pool is a bit disappointing as it's very small and the roof terrace does not have that great a view, also from memory they close it quite early some evenings which is a pain if you want to relax with a drink after an evening out. Other than those small issues I would not hesitate to recommend this place
