About the Area
Downtown DC is awash with culture. The Smithsonian Institution museum complex flanks the National Mall. The Washington Monument bisects the Mall, just south of the White House. Federal agency headquarters house bureaucrats of varying stripes. Moneyed and powerful lobbyists help create (and quash) laws from K Street. Chinatown and the Washington Convention Center lie east of downtown.

Newish hotel - built about 5 years ago with contemporary decor. Has suites that sleep 5 in a pinch - room was in excellent condition and perfectly clean. Very friendly staff - always say hello, always smile, and always ready to help out. Nice amenities: pool, top floor balcony, fire pit, breakfast area (very reasonably priced) which becomes a cocktail bar / area in the evening. Drinks were a little expensive but with a generous pour. Situated in a more residential area so be prepared to gr... Read more

Our family stayed at this hotel on a recent trip to Washington D.C. The hotel is well located, only two blocks from the convention center and three blocks from the convention center metro station. This seems to be a part of town that is rapidly transitioning to multistory residential and trendy restaurants. This hotel is about four blocks from Logan Circle and a Whole Foods, and it is no more than a 10 block walk or metro ride to some of DC's finer restaurants. The rooms are very large with two... Very clean, room was large, we had 2 queens and a pull out sofa, very nice set up. Secure floor access, you needed a room key to select a floor in the elevator. Giant grocery store right next to hotel so you can stock your room with drinks and snacks. 2 blocks from metro, neighborhood seemed a little suspect, if you went to 7th St it seemed like you get to public housing, there was a large loud crowd out Thursday since the temp was 66 degrees at night. Travel 9th St and you need to pass a conv... Read more

Very large room, modern and clean. Service pretty good. Not a sexy neighborhood but a few fine restaurants (e.g, Convivial) and a large supermarket close by. Not a lot of amenities, but a good base for exploring all the sights of DC if you do not mind the 10 min walk to the metro station. Overall very good value for money and definitely would stay there again.

This is a nice hotel with a great value and convenient location! My room was well appointed with microwave and refrigerator and the other things typically provided for the hotel room. The room was clean and pretty sound proof. I didn't hear others in their room or in the hall. They have a nice restaurant/bar that is also super convenient-and a bit pricey. $16.00 for the breakfast buffer, $10.00 for a shot of grand marnier. Great service provision though. Nice penthouse gym with indoor pool (didn... Read more

We spent 2 nights here before Xmas before heading to New York for 5 nights. The Cambria hotel and suites are set just outside of the main district so you have either a walk or short taxi drive. But, that was fine for us. Rooms we spacious and adequately appointed - gernrally excellent value. Buffet breakfast was great!

Excellent hotel, great service and amenities. Spotlessly clean and tidy. The queen suite slept 5 of us perfectly with lots of room to move around comfortably. The WiFi worked wonderfully and the staff were friendly and helpful. Dc is extremely expensive with regards to eating out for 5 people and the staff were helpful in recommending some lower cost options in the area, which we much appreciated. Overall a perfect stay, so impressed.

I have traveled all over the United States and I have to say this has been the best hotel I have ever stayed at. My room was AMAZING. I practically had a living room and a bedroom and the shower was huge and amazing. The room had 2 flat screen tvs and I felt like I was home away from home. Every single person who works at the hotel was nice and courteous and willing to help me with whatever I needed. The breakfast and dinner food was AMAZING and service was excellent. It is not possible for me ... Read more

Family of 5 Stayed here on a Saturday, and Sunday night the weekend before Thanksgiving. Chain hotel....Very reasonable rate that weekend. ($111.00 night) would not pay any more than that for this hotel. Very clean, small room, VERY comfy bed. King suite with a sofa bed. The staff was friendly and helpful, and attentive when called. It was nice walk to the mall....Very easy, good location. Immediately next to a Grocery store and a Starbucks. Nice Lobby area that we sat in off to the side of... Read more
